Brilliant news :) 4-2-3-1 will definitely be our formation next season then. I just hope the situation does not turn into the Liverpool situation with Dalglish, who got sacked. RDM won us the Champions League and FA cup and if we hit bad form next season and he gets sacked it would be awful to think that he would of been remembered as a Chelsea player/legend to a further legend who won us the double in his stint in charge to then being sacked. Hope he does well and may he bring us the league next season. The title is the aim next season:)

Don't know if he didn't play any youngsters last year due to the circumstances or if it's his style. Wait and see I guess.

I'd say circumstances for sure, we were not in a position to risk playing youngsters, Robbie was sent in to rescue the season & he done that brilliant, next season will be a whole different story.

What I have found very interesting however, and not sure how much to read into it is that he has been appointed 'manager and first team coach'. Even Carlo wasn't 'manager'. I just wonder if this is giving someone they have confidence in a bit more air of authority and say so?

Yeah first time i've seen "manager AND first team coach" it's usually one or the other.

Wonderful news. Two-year deal is a bit surprising after all the talk of him getting only a one-year contract but this is good too. I suspect the board have inserted some performance-related clauses to the contract which could cancel the second year if he doesn't succeed here and we wanted to continue chasing Guardiola next year. But for now let's just hope he will succeed and stay for years to come. :blue scalf:

Oh, almost forgot:

@GaryLineker

Seems Roberto Di Matteo is the new manager of Chelsea. Interesting appointment... I mean, what has he ever won?

What a cunt. <_<
