New Chelsea Manager

Tomo loves to create this kind of post. He always come with this kind of thing.

He is always dramatic, he created a topic to say this season would define the future of this club, he created a topic to say that we would be fucked forever if AVB was axed, he was saying only after 4 years we would be able to judge AVB, now he is saying RBM and Mouirnho are the only two managers that would succeed here.

I like Tomo, he is a cool guy and I am not trying to dig at him for being right or wrong.

What I don't like is his comparison of past events.

He does it a lot, but they don't prove much of nothing.

It's great to acknowledge the past, but it does not necessarily means that is an indication of what can happen in the future.

he created a topic to say this season would define the future of this club,

Maybe i was a bit strong saying define, but with an ageing squad and FFP looming fast the summer transfer window will play a part of what happen's in the next few years. Like in 2004 when Jose got rid of every player older than Makelele and replaced them with young, hungry players which gave us the platform for the success of the 6 years after.

he created a topic to say that we would be fucked forever if AVB was axed,

If Malouda and co are still at this club on September 1st then we will know.

he was saying that only after 4 years we would be able to judge AVB,

I actually said 2-3, that's usually when a manager makes his stamp on the team unless you have a silly amount of funds (Jose) or already have a formidable squad to work with (Carlo), AVB didn't have either of those tools.

now he is saying RBM and Mouirnho are the only two managers that would succeed here.

Because it's clear Roman doesn't have any patience, RDM would get rid of the "superstars" because he has worked with them and Jose is ruthless and would aswell as he shown when he came here and got rid of Desailly, Petit, Hasselbaink etc almost immediately, Pep might aswell but quite a lot of managers will want to "access" the players therefore giving Malouda and co yet another chance they don't deserve. That's why i think that.

What I am about is this:

You always want to try to compare to something in the past.

Just because it happened in the past, does not means it can happen again.

Your statistic there about Mourinho proved nothing about AVB.

Just like your comparisons of Moyes to Sam don' t mean much of nothing!

And I will tell you this, a lot of people can have one or two good seasons just like AVB showed.

What is much harder is to maintain a certain lvl of success for a sustain period of time.

Moyes has over a decade of experience to his CV with Everton to show for his hard work.

As ive said before if Moyes does end up coming in and being a success i will happily eat all the humble pie you force throw at me but it's not a one off event managers who do great at midtable clubs (or shall i say teams because historically Everton are a massve club) flopping at big jobs, Sam, Roy, even Hughes. You could also use Rodgers at the championship example, doing great at Watford getting a big job (for championship standards) who have expectation's of getting promoted at Reading and ending up in the bottom 3 and getting the sack. Then at Swansea he recovers his reputation.

Maybe Moyes would come here and be a roaring success who knows? but the fact that no manager in recent times has made the "midtable, no expectations" to "top team, huge expectations" makes me naturally wary.

I may get thing's wrong sometimes who doesn't? but i get just as many thing's right aswell.

The Roy thing is just another fiasco like that of McClaren and AVB.

One great season in Europe and they all jumping on the bandwagon.

There is a reason why I prefer managers with experience like Hiddink, Bielsa and Moyes.

My main curriculum for liking a manager has to do with sustain success not a one of rare event like these fools that people mention!

The Roy bandwagon was more to do with getting Fulham out of relegation from a impossible position then getting them 7th the next season imo well that's what initially impressed me about him.

It happens not just in the PL.

Pep Mel the coach from Betis has done a similar job to what Roy did.

But is he something out of this world?

What I think whoever is doing the thinking, is to look at a manager and see who they managed. Because if they managed a team full of superstars like Scolari with Brazil, you don't need much to do .

Look at the style they play. Is it a style you want? Is it a style that gets the most out of the players you got?

What type of budget they had?

How is the person? How is his personality?

Can he motivate the players?

What is his role in helping to produce more youngster from the youth set up?

etc etc etc

As I go on that list, I can easily see that Sam is a big pig. His personality is horrible!

Capello did great in the past, but is he able to motivate players today? He might have in the past, but today just a shadow of what is left.

And continue with a bunch of coaches that show lack of determination.

Here is another one.

Pardew!!!

The men got not more then 3 seasons in the PL with the Toons, and people are all over him!

Geezzzz talk about bandwagon!

Let the men do his work for another 3 seasons and see how he does.

Cause we always get these type of team that have one great season and then descend into mediocrity.

The true mark of a great coach is seen when he falls down. Cause we see how strong is his character to get back up and keep on fighting.

I think if this was the case for Moyes, he wouldn't have lasted more then a decade at Everton despite the limited budget he had to work with.

One thing i will say about Pardew is he is a genius in the transfer market, £35m for Carroll then getting Ba and Cisse in for just over half that combined  so unless Carroll comes good Liverpool will be a laughing stock for that.

Thankfully Dalglish is shite at transfers so we didn't face the same embarrassing with the Torres transfer (unless he comes good ofcourse).

Speaking about genius in the transfer market, you know that Avram did good in that aspect?

Ivan and Anelka for Chelsea.

If I am not mistaken, didn't he got Ba for West Ham as well?

He is just a horrible manager but i give him that, he got an eye for talent!
