francozola 2,040
Won't Falcao cost a hell of a lot too? I thought he was signed for around 45m euros? I'm sure they will want to make a profit if they're selling him after only one season. Or are we talking about a Torres + cash swap deal? BleedsBlue 1,549
Cavani would be perfect for us,he is used to playing with two wingers up front and would form a formidable partnership with Mata.Only problem is that Sturridge would want to be the main contender for center forward,so that can cause some unrest.Falcao would also be a good alternative considering his history with AVB but Cavani is the best striker amongst the four.If Torres can score another 5 goals this season then Ill stick with Torres but its highly unlikely that he will. Henrique 9,133
I don't think Cavani will end up here, he will cost more than Torres and i highly doubt the club would be willing to go over 40m for any player - i could very well be wrong though. As for Higuain, chances of us getting him are high imo, 30m bid should be enough in an ideal world, but they will probably try to rob us like Liverpool. And then Falcao, i know he just joined Atletico, but surely we can tempt them with Torres + cash ( at least i hope )Cavani wont cost more than Torres, that was a stupid move, its not a standart for anything, and I dont think Higuain will end up here because I dont think he want play Real and move for Chelsea right now, and dont think we are really interested, and he is not worth 30m, and why Madrid would sell him?I think both Cavani and Falcao are more realistic moves. EskWeston 696
For me we have a first class striker. We have to concentrate on getting the best out him next season. The service to the forward at the moment is frankly f**king s**t. Pele couldn't score in this Chelsea team at the moment. It is too easy to look at the fact Torres is not scoring and say we should get rid, but we should be looking deeper at the problem because Torres is not the problem with this team at the moment. capriccioso 2,545
Why not Lukaku? We've hardly given him a chance this season to prove that he's more than just raw power. Of those 4 I'd like Falcao the most, Cavani is certainly one of the best going around but for some reason I feel he won't be a success at Chelsea. Slam Dunk 1,442
I'd love for Cavani to join us, but he will be off to Madrid I reckon, allowing Higuain to leave. Wouldn't be surprised if Torres left the club in the summer and we handed Drogba his extension, meaning we'd have one first class striker, and one experienced backup (which was the plan for this season I assume). Fulham Broadway 17,339
Cant we get those 3 Napoli lads ?
Ollie 4,400
Kevin Philips is better than all our Strikers atm lol. We simply need to buy someone new because the 2 we have now are just not gonna do it for us. Drogs has done his bit for us, Torres is bo peep's lost little sheep n don't know what the fuck he's doing or where the fuck he's going. Maybe we should get Diego Milito or someone who can play as the main striker as a 1 because it don't look like we'll be going 2 up top any time soon. We need a class midfielder, a class winger and a class striker to be challenging again.
kiaretta985 131
Diego Milito? no, please. we are all complaining about an aging team, why should we buy a 33-years-old? And even if his value is around 10m, I'm sure Moratti will make us pay more than that.
St Abramovich 175
I really like the look of Cavani, but AVB's worked with Falcao so that's a big factor. The other option is to throw Lukaku in a the deep end and see if he sinks or swims. Ollie 4,400
Shit didn't realise he was that old, where had he been before 2010 where he had that wonder season.... thought he was like 28 or something. well Falcao would be stupid because we had our chance to get him for cheaper last season but then he signed a new contract at Porto then suddenly went to Atletico. We need to get someone who's not exactly first choice but is quality. Get Adebayor to replace Drogs.
kiaretta985 131
Moratti should have sold a lot of player after the treble (Milito, Maicon just to name two), just like we should have done two seasons ago. Anyway, Adebayor is around 23m.

Melanicus 5,208
I can't see us getting Cavani. Probably he will stay few seasons more at Napoli and than move to big Serie A club or La Liga club (Real Madrid).Higuain seems to be happy playing for Real. Although, he's second option, I believe he will stay.If Torres doesn't step up his game he should be sold this summer. Atletico just loves him so I believe, they would hand in that deal with Falcao, which would be abosolute steal for us, so my vote goes to Falcao. laura90 556
No. You can't have them both. Cavani/Iguain/Falcao as striker and Sturridge as right winger. It won't work. Because most of the time, instead of cooperating together, our striker and Sturridge will compete in "who will have more shots on the goal" discipline. OK if Cavani take so many shots he will score, but that's not the point.Sturridge won't be of great benefit to our future striker, nevermind how he will be "pleased" if we actually get one.And don't tell me he has right to have that attitude because of Torres. He had it during short "Torres may be back" spell, and he is doing it with Drogba who is able to score.Get Cavani/Iguain/Falcao and you will get yourself unhappy Sturridge, and when doesn't score, very useless winger. And we can't afford it. So we should give Sturridge a chance to shine at CF position and give right wing position to genuine team player who can and enjoys creating chances for strikers, and who plays for the team not for himself. And how I would love to see Sturridge at CF position right now, when he is instead of fullback , surrounded with DM and CB with our generous midfield. I know he would score goals , but how often and how easy? That would give so much answers for summer. But with Anelka's departure, slim chance of that happening.Anyway, my answer is Sturridge. He can be part of 2 or 3 upfront but not alone - he doesn't have the physical or tactical ability. Also Napoli play with a central striker (Cavani) and 2 forwards (Hamsik, Lavezzi) so if we stay with 3 playersupfront he could fit in.
