He looks like proper Lamps replacemen. Can score, assist, move well.

Such a all round player with high efficiency.

But yeah we had to fuck all up.

Lampard, Beckham and Silva in one player. He has the outstanding qualities of all of them. He crosses as well as Becks, could easily get 20 goals a season from midfield like Lampard, and already is showing he's got the vision, creativity and technique of Silva. Lavish praise, but I say that's a realistic assessment. If i wanted to exaggerate i'd compare him to Iniesta instead of Silva but he lacks the wisdom & close control of the former.

What other player is capable of the 20+ goals and 20+ assists we're going to see every season? Messi?

He was ours for 9m€. Now he wouldn't be ours for 90m€. Seems legit.

Anyway.

He was bad against Swindon in September 2013, the game in which Torres scored, so there you have it, good riddance. Also his 16m£ fee almost covers Matic transfer. He doesn't want to fight for his place, look at Mata, Schurrle and Oscar #ThrowbackJanuary2014

^^ Good memories. Also "from what I saw Schurrle is better than him" and "we can't have two non-working Belgians in the squad, between Hazard and KdB it's obvious who should we choose".

The last part actually happened and I actually spend a day to fight on Twitter against it. Even against certain Dan Levene who most know very well. Now I think you have to be really brainwashed to believe that you can only have one creative player and the rest are donkeys but that's what Mourinho does to you

Silva was one of the best midfielders in the PL for the past 4-5years,with KDB city got an upgrade for that!!

I would love to have Silva......but we let the upgrade go for peanuts.

Abramovich ordered Chelsea to sign De Bruyne

“One of the best players I’ve scouted is Kevin De Bruyne,” De Visser wrote in his new book Master Scout, which has been serialised by Het Nieuwsblad.

“Kevin was 18. Even then he had a great technique. I had rarely seen such a thing. He was an attacking midfielder with a superb first touch and immediately moved the game, created openings. For me, he was an instant revelation.

"I asked for the tapes of De Bruyne and took them to Chelsea. I showed them to the chief scout.

“He said he liked De Bruyne but added there are plenty of players like him.

“I said 'No, this boy has something extra'. I called the director of Genk [Dirk Degraen].

“He told me many more teams were watching him. I had to take action, I had to be bold and I took the tape to the big boss of Chelsea, Roman Abramovich.

“Roman is a genuine football lover. He not only wants to win, he wants to see beautiful football. He watched the tape, didn't say anything, but called the scouting department.

“’That De Bruyne guy has to come’, he said. If the big boss likes you, that is of course a great way to make your entry."

Interesting...

It is worse than Pogba at 18 because Pogba was still raw and he was nowhere near where he is today. Debruyne was 21 and had ready had 10 10 for Werder and led Belgium in WC qualifying with 8 point in 8 matches. It was obvious that De Bruyne had a world class ceiling.

And if if you back to when KDB was let go there are posts of mine that said that Chelsea would rue letting him because he would at Bayern/Real/Barca. Granted it's worse because he's at Shitteh

You've got to really worry about the damage De Bruyne will do under Guardiola. His talent is there to see, he's got statistics to back him up and he's the right age where his development will only continue. That trio of Sterling, Aguero and De Bruyne will be potentially as formidable as the MSN and BBC trios of this generation. Not forgetting magicians like David Silva pulling the strings behind them

Just a thought anyway.. Could all go balls up too (I hope:lol:

At this moment after all the screw up from our previous manager I could care less if City become amazing.

As long it ain't Liverpool, Arsenal and United I'm happy.

Any other team that wins besides these 3 I'm relieved.

I'm not sure how Sterling could ever be so highly thought of. I think he has a much bigger job on his hands than most think.

Think his potential is there, clearly not a finished product by any means. Under Pep he could reach that potential.

Just doesn't have the right attitude like alot of young English players IMO. Will see what Pep can get out of him during his tenure.

How does he not have the right attitude? Because you hear from the media that he likes to take laughing gas?

He strikes me as a guy who likes to party and all that, but when he gets on the pitch and/or training ground the seriousness starts. Would have loved him here, but not for all that money.

The evidence is there.

Well just because you hear he does that, that does not mean he has a bad attitude. He loves football and has shown the right attitude to be where he is right now. From QPR U18 to Liverpool U18/U21 all the way to the first team within the space of three years... then after breaking into the Liverpool team so rapidly, a few years down the line he joins Man City and becomes the most expensive English player in football history.

You don't reach where he is at the age of 21 by having the wrong attitude. The evidence is there that he has the right attitude.

Media deceives people.

That might be the case, but such actions portrait that attitude IMO. The price tag has very little to do with his ability as of now. It's based on him being HG and potential. You need to have the right attitude on and off the pitch to fully harness that said potential.

We'll see how his career goes in the next years.

To be honest, when you're comparing him to the Wilshere's and Abonglahor's of this world he isn't the worst of the bunch. It's the way it is now that English kids are ruining their own careers because of how much they're being paid domestically now. Only really, you can argue, Barkley and Stones are keeping their head down. Lindgaard and Rashford to an extent, but none of these players have demonstrated the talent Raheem has.

I'd also argue his case of being more mature then he's given credit for. Although his Liverpool transfer wasn't exactly how he planned it, but he went to City with an enormous transfer fee which didn't phase him in the slightest. He's only seeing the bench  now because he's injured. Even Pellegrini knows Navas or Nasri doesn't have a thing on Sterling

To keep this in context of Kevin, none of these City youngers are ready or a finished product, which bring me back to my OP. The potential of this city team with KdB, Sterling, Aguero, Silva, Iheanacho... Well Guardiola won't be out of talent put it that way, on top of who else he plans to add.
