Such a lame comeback, you can never back up anything you say, hopefully one day you learn to form a full sentence without putting random commas and full stops in between them.

LOOOL talk about being obsessed!

Why are you quoting after Kdb plays well against one of the worst teams in the PL? When did i ever say he would play bad every game he plays? of course he will have good games at home against weak teams who just give up or dont try to win against City, that doesnt impress me, so i dont know why you get all buthurt when i speak the truth and say it how it is when Kdb plays bad in tougher games, and i dont know why you would get excited because he plays well in a game like this. You are sounding very desperate

Saying stuff to suit your own needs. How contradictory afer you said you do not judge carling cup games but PL and CL. He shuts you up in a PL game and your excuse is it is because it is against a rubbish team. Yet United and us both managed to draw. Yes, Newcatsle are poor but yes it is a PL game. If Costa had scored 2 or more goals you would have said whatever necessary to suit your needs. You would never have said Costa scored against a shit team. You would have compiled that in your list of reasons of why he is a world class striker. Hate it when people always have to come up with excuses. Be unbiased with your opinions please because you know if it was in reverse with our players such as Oscar and Costa you would be drooling over their performance.

shut me up how exactly? and what excuse are you talking about? please show me where i said he will play bad in every single game he plays for City??? of course he will play well against the usual teams who bow down to City at the Etihad and dont try.

if Costa played and scored 2 past Newcastle away with our bad record there and with the way we have been playing i would be impressed, if Costa scored 2 or more past them at Stamford Bridge with us in amazing form and newcastle bowing down to us, no i wouldnt be that impressed.

so no i dont know why you think i am being biased, De Bruyne was dreadful against Spurs that is a fact! nothing i have said was not true, you clearly just cant hande it when someone critisizes your beloved Kevin. Pretty sad really.

Because you said you are interested in the CL and PL. Regardless of opposition he scored and assisted today in the PL and these games might be the ones you look at by the end of the season and say that got them the title. Especially as other title rivals have and nearly dropped points against them. I will include us even though our title chances are all ut over. United drew with them and Arsenal were very lucky.

I think KDB is a quality player, yes and I am angry with Jose for letting him go and it has backfired. I also acknowledged despite his goal against Spurs he was poor but as a whole I think he has done well. Judging by the switch in positions I think having KDB on the left, Silva in the middle and Sterling/Navas on the right might be a treat.

This was an error. There is a well founded reason the belgian horde fought for him. Every one that watched him saw his qualities. There is a reason why there is debate in Belgium on who is best: Eden or Kevin.

I think Eden btw. On efficiency, im not that sure. That is why it baffles me Mou has not given this player ample playtime. Ugh, that WC has cost us.

Here's the thing that bothers me the most: does Eden enjoy football? When I see KDB play, he genuinely enjoys playing. When it comes to Eden, I don't get that same feeling. I'm afraid it's becoming a drag to him and he's forfeiting on his ambitions. Hell, I can see KDB become a trainer in the future, whereas I do not for Eden. Mentality is just as important.

Garth Crooks's team of the week: Aguero, Eriksen, Gabriel, Mane_84553597_garthcrooks_bbc.jpgfootball_focus.png By Garth Crooks Football analyst
_85904725_getimage-5.png

Manchester City returned to form in style with Sergio Aguero starring in a six-goal hammering of Newcastle - a result that returns them to the top of the Premier League.

Arsenal scored three times in the first 19 minutes to beat Manchester United, reigning champions Chelsea's campaign continued to unravel courtesy of a deserved defeat at the hands of an excellent Southampton, while Brendan Rodgers's tenure as Liverpool boss was brought to an abrupt end following a 1-1 Merseyside derby draw at Everton.

Leicester's superb start to the campaign continued with victory at Norwich, Crystal Palace moved into the top four by beating West Brom and Sunderland threw away a 2-0 home lead to draw with West Ham, after which Dick Advocaat resigned as Black Cats boss.

Two goals from Christian Eriksen rescued a point for Tottenham at Swansea, promoted sides Bournemouth and Watford cancelled each other out, while Aston Villa were plunged further into trouble via a home loss to Stoke.

Do you agree with my selections?

GOALKEEPER - Heurelho Gomes (Watford)
_85904479_gomes.jpg

Of the 32 goalkeepers to have faced 20-plus penalties in the Premier League, Heurelho Gomes has the second best save percentage (29) after David Seaman (32)

I remember Gomes when he played for Spurs and he proved how useful he was then. Sadly, he suffered at White Hart Lane from too many unforced errors. His contribution to Watford's Premier League campaign so far this season has been nothing short of excellent.

His penalty save from Bournemouth's Glenn Murray was superb - and shows what the Brazilian can do. However, if Watford are to survive in the big league they will have to refrain from giving away clumsy penalties late in the game. They can't expect Gomes to bail them out all the time.

DEFENDER - Gabriel (Arsenal)
_85904481_gabriel_getty.jpg

Arsenal centre-back Gabriel made eight clearances, three tackles and two interceptions to help guide Arsenal to a 3-0 win over Manchester United

I saw Gabriel stand up to Chelsea's Diego Costa recently at Stamford Bridge and he refused to be intimidated by the striker. Sadly for Arsenal, he paid a heavy price for his boldness and was sent off.

His performance, while less demanding against Manchester United, was extremely professional and he looked like a very composed defender with the ball at his feet. He reduced Anthony Martial to the minimum of chances and was instrumental in achieving Arsenal's clean sheet of the season.

DEFENDER - Virgil van Dijk (Southampton)
_85904483_vandijk_pa.jpg

Saints have won 50% of their Premier League games this season when Virgil van Dijk has been in the side, compared with 25% when he's been absent

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insists officials are not being honest with his side. Perhaps he should try a little honesty himself. Southampton should have had two penalties, the first for an infringement on Van Djik by Branislav Ivanovic and then on Sadio Mane by Ramirez.

Van Dijk had every right to complain to the officials about Ivanovic wrestling him to the ground, but the central defender did not allow the injustice to effect his outstanding performance for Saints.

The centre-back was absolutely superb against Chelsea and resolute throughout this game. He is proving to be another impressive acquisition by manager Ronald Koeman.

DEFENDER - Jeffrey Schlupp (Leicester City)
_85904648_schlupp_rex.jpg

Jeffrey Schlupp has netted three goals in his last 34 Premier League games for Leicester, all away from home

Norwich had plenty of warnings in the first half that Schlupp was on the prowl. It took an excellent block to deny the full-back early in the game but Norwich simply failed to heed the warnings.

He could have put Leicester ahead moments later but could not get the final touch to a punishing cross. The Ghana international was a constant menace to the Canaries and his goal was nothing less than he deserved.

MIDFIELDER - Marko Arnautovic (Stoke City)
_85904650_arnautovic_rex.jpg

Five of Marko Arnautovic's seven Premier League goals have come away from home (71%)

When Arnautovic is on his game he is a class act and this was one of those games. The Austrian was subjected to a travesty when the referee's assistant ruled his goal offside when the player appeared to be level. Undeterred, he went on to take Aston Villa to the cleaners.

Earlier in the season I said Arnautovic and his team-mates owed it to their brilliant goalkeeper Jack Butland to start performing and justify the investment made in some of their big name signings. Well, Stoke have now gone four games unbeaten - it looks like they have got the message.

MIDFIELDER - Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City)
_85904652_debruyne_rex.jpg

Kevin de Bruyne has 22 league assists since the start of 2014-15; more than any other player in the top five Euro leagues

Two assists and one glorious finish but no mentions on the Match of the Day analysis? If that wasn't dismissive enough, De Bruyne's magnificent finish was regarded as a bit of a fluke.

Anyone who had observed De Bruyne's time at Wolfsburg would have known that he was the club's top scorer and the Bundesliga's king of assists. Let's be under no illusions: this player does not do 'flukes'; he knows precisely what he's doing.

4goals/ 3 assists in 7 games

Wrong, Demichelis got the CL goal a day later and Kev the assist. 7 games, started in 5 of them, 4 goals and 4 assists.

But yeah, in City he won't be able to perform because he has to be the main man, otherwise he is sh*t. It is also a 100% impossible that he will ever repeat his Wolfsburg stats in City. I know that now thanks to our pro analyzers here at the forum. Thank you guys!

Didn't watch the last +10 mins of the match, however, I still am inclined to believe that KDB cannot work effectively with David Silva.

This idea that silva-sterling-kdb-yaya was going to break every team is proving more and more to be wrong and someone will need to be dropped to give balance to the squad... Losing to a team like gladbach who has been terrible this season really would of been bad for City's confidence...

Xhaha is a good player we should look at next summer as a cm.

If anything, it's Sterling that let's that combination down...nothing to do with KDB. You say KDB and Silva can't work....did you see the game weekend ? Aguero's 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th goals were a combination of KDB, Silva and Aguero.

didn't watch it.

Just saw that yaya was dropped and sterling got replaced in the second half when city scored the +5 goals.

Also, my main thing was kdb and city with yaya, sterling and silva would not work together. One of them needed to be dropped.

  • 2 weeks later...

KDB >>>> Hazard in NT yet again. He will be for sure the better player in terms of stats, more direct, fast play. Hazard really slows things down.

could become the first to win Bundesliga POY and EPL Poy back to back ... I know he won Belgian Pro award .. but that doesnt really count as all the Belgians are bang average

according to some on here , But what does KdB actually do apart from score and make assists ???
