He will get his chance during pre-season and if he does enough to convince Di Matteo to give him a place in the team then he will get it. If he doesn't perform then he goes on loan to get more experience. Simple as that.

however we're not playin 433, we're playin 4231 most likely and i dont want believe a double pivit role with defensive responsibilities is where he should play no? if its 433, replacing mata in cam, or lamps in b2b, ok i agree, but not in doubld pivot role, i just dont believe thats the right ppace for him to grow.

He was playing in the '4' of a 4411 for Genk in CM and so yes he could play in the double pivot, just has to develop the defensive side of his game which he does have. The double pivot is also the best place to utilise his skills such as his great long passing. He's versatile though and can play in at least 3 positions

what about his pace? seems lost in the crowded midfiled in 4231. in 4411 was he on wing?

but overall mightyblue i just want him hear and used as supersub especialy cuz of rumors now malouda wants out.

Exactly. If Malouda is willing to leave, then De Bruyne should definitely stay as a backup CAM, LW.

yeah, but knowing this team, we will sned kdb on loan, lukaku, mceachran, pva, and buying a replacement for malouda and kkalou leaving our young guys to wait till 24 to finally COMPETE for starting job, hahahaha

Pace isn't his best asset though, its the way he uses the ball so intelligently and can pick out a pass. He was CM in Genk's 4411 and i think he'll be a top player, but i want to see him playing week in week out for a team rather than the odd game here and there. Looking forward to seeing him in pre season

Either Modric isn't getting 14 or Modric might not even come at all... which is probably the most likely. Happy to see KDB will get a chance to compete for a place in pre season, hope he is part of the squad this season.
