Kevin de Bruyne

Today wasn't just the display of him being country miles better than Oscar as a #10, but also as an all-round midfielder. He tracked back, he won every second ball, he dispossessed the opposition players. As for his attacking qualities, I'm left speechless.

Now I can't wait for Antonio to completely dismantle the overrated individual and his overrated stars. I hope Hazard is motivated after the amount of times last season where Mourinho threw him under the bus like he did with KDB and absolutely sticks one up his arse and I know he and Antonio certainly can.

To be honest nothing at his time here, granted he didn't play that much, suggested that he would turn into this calibre of player. I think it's a little bit over the top to criticize Mourinho on this one. According to many sources Kevin didn't train that good as well so it was understandable at that time to let him go to Wolfsburg.

You're far too kind. He was our best player in preseason and received a MOTM award against Hull. After that, Mourinho didn't even wanna see him at the bench anymore. De Bruyne has always been known to train hard and work hard at the field. But sources say that he disagreed with Mourinho about tactics and after that we sold him for 23M. I still remember the moment that the whole forum was up in Mou's arse and everybody was cheering and saying that 23M was a ridiculous amount of money for him. It was, it was giving him away for free. PSV got a lot more for wannabe gangster Memphis.

I, personally was outraged when we sold KDB. I knew it was a huge mistake. You could tell his ability frim pre-season and the fact Jose was being a little bitch about him was probably the first sign that his ego was starting to cloud his judgement. The rest is history!

Hard to understand why Oscar comes along over and over again in this discussion. KDB was a youngster with loads of potential before he went to germany where he polished his game returning as the real deal... very common tale. I know I know same age, but Oscar was just at a different stage of his career.

Jose and whoever accepted his plea to sell KDB were dead wrong and it's actually hard to find ppl who sided with Jose on that one. At the very least you have to have options in a squad and that's what we've been lacking for so long. If players have slumps (like last season), the team has a slump (like last season).

Now if you think KDB can do the B2B and the tackling that Oscar does, you are a fan and a fan of the wrong team, I'm sorry to say.

Concerning Mata... IMO Jose was right in selling him esp for the amount of money we got. I am really not a fan and to me he was a one trick pony who can give you that moment of magic for a minute and be a liability for the rest of the game - a player for a different era. Not contradicting myself, he'd be an interesting player to come off the bench, but his reputation and wish was to be a starter.

The KDB case actually shows how much the will/stubborness of the coach influences our board (unfortunately!). I always thought a bunch of clever people could never do silly things. Boy our board clearly proved me wrong on this one :)!

We almost literally 'gave' €50 million to Wolfsburg & lost one of the best playmakers in the game to one of our competitors...

Yeah well at least this continues to prove that sacking Mourinho was the right decision.

That guy totally put us back, but it's okay as Conte is a step up to him.

But Conte ain't in the class of Pep or Klopp but that's okay because we are no longer in a position to demand the best.

We will need to go the way of Arsenal and accept mediocrity since that's what the board is doing with all these transfers....
