Beepu 1,714
I don't think it would've hurt so bad if we are top of the table with a world class team worthy to be compared with Barcelona, Madrid and Bayern. But at the moment, the reality is that our team is filled with some average players and we are in a tough phase of rebuilding. If we end up being at the top again in the near future then this wouldn't sting much. It also became more of a mockery for Chelsea because Oscar turned out to be amazingly average. KDB will always be the one that got away. Selling Mata was right, I miss him and would take him back for cheap but at that time it was the right decision. Lukaku? Seriously, who cares? But KDB will always be the one that haunts me (for now). What's done is done, sadly. Fernando and Laugh1ngMan

We haven't sold any ageing or under performing players from the abomination of last season (letting go of Ivanovic, Matic would have been a sensible decision) The only new face in the team is Kante...and we're just as unconvincing as last season (apart from the Burnley game)

Yeah pretty much, it was all because of Mourinho we lost him. But I guess that bury it and we can move on. It was the thing that had to happen to open our eyes about the truth about him. That he is past it and no longer worth keeping at the club. And thus Emanolo and company did good by singling out the individual and sacking him. Now he at United and it seems like the whole world is starting to find out what we realize last season....well with the exception of his German apologist. Look he is a fantastic player but the way some of you guys jizz over him... anyone would have thought he had won CL, Euros and a World Cup single handedly. Unionjack 7,531
We should send Agent de Bruyne a Well Done card for yesterday. Only a true master could miss an open goal from a couple of yards and not raise any questions from his team mates. Congrats ginger minge. Your place is safe when you're ready to come home. Apart from Ronaldo (Messi? Nope) maybe. Messi and Ronaldo are being lifted as "gods" also because of their goal scoring numbers. Would the same amount of goals be possible in EPL? Messi and Ronaldo would be topscorers in the EPL also, but each with 10 goals less. That's about fair I think.
