Amblève. 4,995
It's unbelievable how often Cahill gets caught ball-watching (latest example, Everton's 1st goal). Beside his lack of quality on the ball the biggest hole in his game.

BenIsLegend 475
My Dad watched the game for the first time today and so I re-watched it. One thing I didn't realise is how much Cahill frustrated Lukaku, Lukaku had some luck with JT but none with Cahill who thwarted him at every attempt. He tracked him superbly for much of the match and once again did most of JT's running for him.

Jase 43,479
Picked up a knock at the end of the game against Norway and was taken off. But Hodgson said he shouldn't have any problem to play against Switzerland on Monday.
Jase 43,479
http://www.thefa.com/news/england/2014/sep/gary-cahill-on-norway-match-programmeEngland are about to embark on an important qualifying campaign, with the Finals in France in 2016 the target.Cahill is determined to start well as they look to build from the World Cup with a new, younger squad. "For this next qualifying campaign there’s going to be more of an onus on me to be more of a leader, to try and show my experience," says the former Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers man."Even though I’m only in the middle of my career, I feel quite old in the squad! I’ve taken on a lot from those experienced players who have stepped away from the set-up, but I haven’t necessarily had to step forward much in the past because they were always there. "So there’s added pressure on me and the other senior players to step up."
BlueLyon 9,359
What I disliked was that he just watched Mirallas, Etoo or Naismith when they were running towards our goal. This was way of defending we saw before Jose, when no one tried to stop attackers, just waiting for them to get into our penalty area...Think he should run into them trying to stop them before, but whole team reacted very bad vs everton in defence, something for Jose to fix.
