Can't just be me that thinks he's been our weak link most of the season? maybe not entirely his fault , i do think he has been overplayed.

think jose needs to see beyond old friends acts and do what the team needs...he is our oldest player yet , he has played near on every game this season....constantly looks tired on the ball...

Don't need to create a new thread on Lampard when we already have one...

We played what was essentially a three man midfield against West Ham and had great success, so why would you change that for Basel?

The problem then arises that we only have three men who play in that midfield role available. Essien wasn't registered and Van Ginkel is out injured so who exactly was available?

All three midfielders were awful last night, and they can't all be dropped for Southampton. I'm sure some will now say Lampard has been awful all season (as they had been doing incorrectly before the West Ham game) but there's an extended rest between now and the Southampton game and I'd back a few of those players to get back to the level they were at on Saturday.

Easy to criticize Jose in hindsight, but the truth is, very few criticized him for starting Frank before the game after the performance against West ham. Jose had every right to stick to what worked in the weekend. Hopefully, in the future, Jose will learn from this game and take into consideration that Frank can't play box-to-box for 180 minutes in three days.

Ease up turbo, no need for that.

to blame either Lampard or Jose for that debacle last night is merely searching for a scapegoat. A good team can win carrying two or three players having poor

games ... Last night it was difficult to see more than 3 having good games .. IT was a terrible performance but to blame it all or even mostly on Lampard

is quite frankly one eyed
