Frank Lampard

It's only fair to say it's your worst day as a football fan when your all time favourite player leaves your favourite team... A role model for me when I was a kid and without a doubt the greatest player ever to wear the blue shirt. It's a great pleasure to have him in a central place in the Chelsea legacy. I will be painful seeing him playing him for another team, but I'm sure his blue heart will lead him back home once he's ready to hang up the boots.

Goodbye, Super Frankie Lampard!

This fucked up my day. Frank deserves to be here next year when we lift the EPL title, no doubt about it.

As for some, he was, the main reason i fell in love with this club and started developing an emotional connection to Chelsea FC.

He may not have a been a key player anymore, but it sure did feel good to have him in the squad. I dont usually get caught up in the whole Legend, leader, captain rhetoric, but their is not a footballer man who fits that criteria like Frank Lampard. Almost brought to tears man, what a guy.

Thank You and Good Luck

John Terry pays tribute to 'Chelsea legend' Frank Lampard calling team-mate the 'best midfielder' he has played with

'Lamps, I’m going to miss you on and off the pitch mate,' said Terry.

'The best midfielder I’ve had the honour of playing with, you’re a true Chelsea legend.

'You are a real winner and an inspiration to me and everyone at Chelsea. Good luck mate.'

Thanks for the great memories Frank..i spent more time with you than i have my family over the last 13 years.

I was 25 when we signed him and believe the decision to move on without Frank was the correct one for both the club and Frank himself.

I'm hardened to things outside of football that make me keep things in perspective so don't expect tears from me ,be they real or feigned for effect when players careers with us end..i choose to remember the good times and look to the future. #CarefreeCFC

Reading that article, the realization dawned on me that he won't play for Chelsea ever again..

I'm literally tearing up. Not sure what I'll do when Terry calls it day.

Just read it is official. Right now I feel nothing, it will sink in eventually, but I still can't believe this is real. It just does not feel right - too early. The last 10 years i have seen almost every game of him and it was absolutely woth it. I will write him a piece when I got some more distance.

R.I.P English core.

Throw eveything at the Shaw signing, ffs.. even Arsenal have Wilshere and Ox.

Unfortunately there arent many decent English players left. No point in signing shit players just because they are English.

When I saw confirmation on Sky sports on my phone I admit I did have a wee cry :(

I can't believe it, I mean we don't know if he was actually offered a deal or not :(

I really am bit heartbroken. Regardless of any other signings I was hoping for JT and Lamps very sad never see Frank play for Chelsea again. I'm bit speechless just now

P.s. I just hope with us losing Frank, Ashley and David Luiz I hope we are planning on replacing people with their high standards. :(
