IliyaDamyanov 43
If somebody don't want Lampard in Chelsea , he/she is not true blue fan . Here in Bulgaria if the fans disagree with the main board about some important desicion they protest and most of the time there is an effect . Just look the people in Greece . I know that is different but If we don't try we couldn't know what will happen . Just image that the board will listen the fans and offer Lamprad a new contract...We have to show that we want this player in the club at any price DDA and The Mak
Magic Lamps 11,692
I think everyone wants him at the club one way or another, but if the club and Lamps cant agree for a new contract and if lampard cant accept being more of a rotational player then i think its time for him to go. I hope we atleast try to keep him but if leaves then he leaves. We have to move one, but he will always be a legend in this club. One last time. It has nothing to do with Lamps agreeing pay cut or being only a squad player or all this BS. "Chelsea executives told Frank in Japan during the Club World Cup then again reconfirmed with me after the Everton victory that in no circumstances will he be offered a new contract to stay at the club after the end of this season. LDN Blue 7,903
I really am comfortable with saying goodbye to Lampard this season. Yea, it will be emotional, it will be heartbreaking.. But he has an opportunity to go elsewhere and play more football than he would here even if Chelsea did offer him a contract. You might as well accept it folks. There's f*ck all the club can do, perhaps this may turn out to be a good decision is success does come our way next season. The media circus et al, could easily end with a statement from the Club confirming he's leaving. Stops the media from dragging this one - bet they're having a great laugh writing day-in, day-out about reasons, uturn faux-stories, etc. DDA

Both of them are technical player in fact scholes will just sit deep and ping the ball from left to right.
communicate 2,703
I have no problem whether lampard stays or not. For me he has shown that he is a good professional. To play box to box role at the age of 33+ is not easy but you can easily see he has not been consistent since last year. So it really depends on both parties. Does lampard willing to take a backup role ? and of course salary matters

DDA 9,937
Everyone wants Lampard to stay because he is a Chelsea Legend who will forever be remembered as the greatest midfielder of the greatest era in Chelsea history. Though I have to agree with LDN Blue, Lampard is too good of a player to see his career out on the bench. He has at least 2 good seasons left in him, maybe more and he should be playing in a side where he will be key and used regularly. I would love for him to stay but I think he will be going in the summer and even though it upsets me I think its in his best interest. Lampard was known for box to box, passing and shooting. Giggs had a much harder adjustment when he got older. Your argument is a terrible one. Btw scholes is bench player right now for manu their main pair is cleverly/carrick. Giggs also don't play all games. Like I said before, I don't mind lampard staying but he cannot be first choice. You still need a certain element of pace, and Giggs doesn't driblble by players anymore at all. Yes well Scholes is 38, I'd expect any player thats 38 to start primarily on the bench at a decent size, and United don't really have a main pair, Ferguson rotates alot. (Scholes and Cleverly have both made 14 apperances for United in the league this season).

Nope cleverly and carrick is the main partnership. Scholes come from the bench most of the time. He is still the best passer in epl. Saf always play him when he want to boss the game. Popular Post! JDY 1,290 Posted January 11, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted January 11, 2013 The situation is an absolute shambles. I respect the clubs decision in letting Frank go, financially you can see the logic behind it & for the rebuilding process under a new (and hopefully long term) management team. But the way the situation is being handled is ridiculous, from both the club and the player (resulting in the leeching media).Someone mentioned his name earlier as an argument for Frank staying with us. But in fact that situation was very similar to this one. That being Raul & Real Madrid. It was made clear that the 'higher ups' in Madrid wanted him to leave, as they were on the dawn of a new era with Mourinho at the helm. Raul accepted the fact that his time was up & unless he wanted to sit on the bench being fourth choice he would have to move. Similar to Frank, he still had something to offer and demonstrated that when at Schalke. No hard feelings or bitterness during the departure, that's how it should be. The only odd thing was that for such a legend at Madrid he was given quite a low key send off. With the Lampard situation, it's been made perfectly clear that the club won't be offering him a new deal. I doubt they will change their mind on it, no matter what he does for the rest of the season. I'm sure Frank knows this to, and this is the point that I don't understand. When Frank is interviewed on his future at the club, he needs to stop acting like he doesn't know if he will be offered a new deal or not. The media have absolutely gone to town on the club because of this and vilified our treatment of a club legend. It's obviously not intentional from Frank, after all, he only wants to stay and it is understandable. But the club have already made their stance, so I honestly think it would be best for Frank to just accept it, and have him or the club announce that he will be leaving at the end of the season. The longer that this drags on, the worse it will be. The last thing anyone wants is Frank to leave on a sour note. The only place to be, Henrique, Peace. and 3 others

Like i said I expect us to buy one passing midfielders next season and depend on his type he will play next to ramires or mikel. In some game where we need different type of player can we play lampard of course.

Think about it. At the moment he's behind Ramires and Mikel in the pecking order.Seeing as how the club is looking for a DM and a deep lying playmaker they will get pushed back into rotation roles leaving Lampard as just a squad player and i haven't even included our young talents like Debruyne, Oscar and mceachran.Giving Lampard a 2 year deal makes no sense what so ever. It wouldn't help us and would actually hinder our younger talents.
