Fulham Broadway 17,319
There is no justification in hating on our greatest ever player. 11 years cannot be forgotten in 5 seconds. His reactions after scoring the goal showed how much of a true blue he is. Our own legend. Appreciate the travelling support for chanting his name after the gameYup thats one point of view, and I subscribe to it. However, theres no prescriptive point of view that has to be taken on it. Sometimes its good to stand back a bit, and see top flight football for what it is- a big business corporate profit whore fest, instead of trying to compete with other fans over who wears the biggest heart on their sleeve. Popular Post! Liquidator 5,176 Posted September 22, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted September 22, 2014 I don't see how further down the line, in 40 or so years, how people could still hold a grudge against Lamps for scoring against us once after 13 years of being an incredible player for us. Will you really let one goal tarnish everything? Even if, and it is highly unlikely, it costs us the title this season, will you remember this goal over his 2 at Bolton, penalty against Liverpool, impossible goal vs Barca, captaining us in the 2012 Champions League final, scoring in the 2008 final, becoming our all time top goalscorer at Villa Park, the last minute goal against Stoke, scoring the winner in the 2009 FA Cup Final, being key in our first ever double. I could go on and on and on. didierforever, kc_blue, zolayes and 3 others
Etoo fils 45
First, City is not a historic rival.Chelsea didn't want to give him a new contract. Where can he go if he wanted to play CL ans stay for 6 month in UK?When he scores, I smiled because I was thinking "what an incredible story", It was funny. Now if Chelsea doesn't win the League, it will not be Lamp's fault. There are plenty of game and we already make a little difference. zolayes

I could go on and on and on.It's not just the fact that he scored against us, ffs. It's the fact that he always talked about being a true blue (light blue it seems) and contradicted everything he has ever said by joining our direct rivals for 6 months and in the process taking points off us and possibly winning city a few points in the future as well which could have an impact in the title race. As I've said before, King Didier rejected multiple offers from England because he loves the club. He left Chelsea and when he came back to England he joined...Chelsea. They are DIRECT rivals (THE only rivals), he hasn't gone to relegation fodder like Rio, so it's just as worse as traditional, he's effecting Chelsea.. Chelsea is a concept, it doesn't matter what our current board offered or didn't offer, his legacy.. his actions.. go beyond that.. When he scored you 'smiled'?.. YOU.. SMILED!!!???, I think instead of questioning Chelsea fans on here you should look in the mirror.. Where can he go?... hmm, maybe not sign for them in the first place! how about that, he wasn't forced, he ignored his stature at this club and chased money. sherry33 234
Could people actually shut the fuck up? He didn't signed with us another year because of money which says it all. So stop already we didn't wanted him and he left for City. MoneyWhorepard was no way near a 110k player reason why we wanted him to reduce his salary. Dion 2,476
I understand he's a professional and everything but I wouldn't have minded if he missed the goal on purpose. I know if I was in his position I would have hit it to go slightly away from the goal, and I would have firmly stated beforehand that I wouldn't want to play against Chelsea, so if the manager played me anyways his loss. I'm not mad with Frank or anything but I must admit I'm a bit disappointed that he seems to be going back on his words again and again. First he said he wouldn't play for a rival and then that he wouldn't play against us but not only he plays for a rival and against us but he also scores, you can't help but feel a bit cheated on.
