Kostas 1,468
Too much is being made of him not starting against Swansea, he is a 33 year old man who had to play 120 minutes just a few days before the game, I'm sure even he knew he should have not started. If anything being subbed at OT after 45 minutes was infinitely more revealing about his place in the team rather than some random start about him not missing a PL game since 2003. It led to media prompting headlines such as "Lampard future in doubt" ect.
bababoom 4,478
I don't believe in any media saying Lampard stormed off, he wouldnt do that. He's a smart, he knows that he cant play as much as he used to.

manpe 10,861
Keep the faith in Franky Good performance, nice goal. He got rested and dropped and immediately upped his game in my estimation. Hadn't scored for a while from open play, so that goal should do wonders to his confidence (apart from Torres, I felt Lamps was/is low on confidence too). termninja 5,290
That FK was also nice. It's been quite some time I've seen him shoot at goal from a fk Super Frank!
Krypt 241
That FK was also nice. It's been quite some time I've seen him shoot at goal from a fk Super Frank! This is because of Drogba and i feel Drogba has more to offer free kick wise as he has a better technique than Frank , i think Frank just goes for power and hopes for the best sometime. Fantastic to see him score though. Still has his part to play this season.
Fulham Broadway 17,313
Keep the faith in Franky Good performance, nice goal. He got rested and dropped and immediately upped his game in my estimation. Hadn't scored for a while from open play, so that goal should do wonders to his confidence (apart from Torres, I felt Lamps was/is low on confidence too).Dont think he is tbh. He is the consumate professional, something lacking in a lot of players and can cope with being subbed or missing a couple of games easily. However, the way Ramires has started the season, Frank will need to be on top of his game. He is the most likely successor to Frank's type of player, he's developing into a top class box to box player.I feel the media have some kind of agenda with Frank anyway, just jumping on the back of the anti-Chelsea/Frank/JT England mong fans.Of course he's coming to the twilight of his career - he's 33!!I don't remember this type of character assasination when Giggs/Scholes were being 'rested' for games. When Fergie does it he's a man management specialist that gets the best out of his players and preserves them. When AVB does it - Frank's over the hill/finished etc......He was rested at home to Swansea before a testing CL away game to Valencia ffs! Does the media really think that we need Frank to beat Swansea at home? Term-X
Amblève. 4,995
Lamps is still an important part of our squad. If he gets back on track he's one of the top 5 midfielders. But we should not be expecting him to become the Frank he was 2 years ago. Even Frank is becoming older... laura90

True_Blue 469
Indeed. I want a banner at the bridge of him pointing up to the sky reading 'Always Believe In Frank Lampard'.It would be quite odd to see a central midfielder being the top scorer of one club,it is not really common to see.
