ZAPHOD2319 4,818
Is this some sort of transfer dance, or is the Sancho deal really just reporters guessing that this is going to happen?
Strike 7,489
8 hours ago, Vesper said: Ivanovic might join Everton https://princerupertstower.com/2020/08/05/ivanovic-join-everton/ According to several media reports, Everton are on the verge of signing former Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic on a free transfer. Is this really likely and why would Everton want to sign the 36-year-old who has most recently been playing his trade in the Russian league with Zenit St Petersburgh. As usual with such reports, they must be taken with a pinch of salt. But according to The Sun, Ivanovic is quoted as saying joining the Blues is his likely next career move. So who knows..? On the surface this would seem to be a bizarre and strange move. However, there might be some method to this apparent madness. While solving the problems in midfield should most definitely be the club’s transfer window priority, I’ve said before that I think the Toffees do need a bit more experience in key positions, in particular in central defence and up front. Isn't he 46? Vesper

They've seemingly put all their eggs in the Sancho basket. So much so that their fans would explode if it doesn't happen. I still firmly believe this is all posturing from Dortmund to get United to pay up the FULL amount up front. Which I think they eventually will. Kajo 176
They probably will agree to some sort of installment but BVB wants at least €100m upfront and without installments spread over the period of 2 years. United trying to negotiate but if they want Sancho they will pay what BVB wants them to pay.

Vesper 30,172
Former Arsenal target Disasi joins Monaco in €13m deal https://www.goal.com/en/news/former-arsenal-target-disasi-joins-monaco-in-13m-deal/pdf5wh5c0mmx1n1eri9dgqdag The former France youth international has joined Niko Kovac's side on a long-term contract, despite the lack of European football next term Axel Disasi has joined Monaco in a €13m (£12m/$15m) transfer from Reims, with the Ligue 1 club beating off rivals including one-time suitors Arsenal to the defender's signature on a five-year deal. The former France youth international was widely regarded as one of the division's best young performers last term as, in an abridged campaign curtailed by the Covid-19 pandemic, he helped the club to a sixth-place finish. His move to Monaco represents something of a coup for the principality outfit, who unlike Reims will not compete in Europe next term after they finished outside the qualification places for both the Champions League and Europa League. Vesper 30,172
THIA-GO GO Thiago Alcantara wants Liverpool transfer from Bayern Munich but Klopp will be forced to sell to raise funds https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/12340527/thiago-alcantara-liverpool-transfer-klopp-sell/ THIAGO ALCANTARA wants to complete his move from Bayern Munich to Liverpool - but Jurgen Klopp will be forced to sell players first to raise the money. The Spanish midfielder, 29, is desperate to secure a move to the Premier League champions, say reports in Germany. And Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick has confessed he WILL sell - but only if the Reds meet Thiago's £27million valuation. Despite the positive update, Klopp will be forced to first raise the funds, with Naby Keita on the chopping block, according to GetFootballNewsGermany. Keita has struggled with injuries since his 2018 move to Anfield. But the Guinean, 25, remains one of the Reds' more exciting options and is unlikely to be sold for a player four years his senior. Keita's style of play appears to be more fitting of Klopp's system too. The Reds could instead offload SEVEN stars, including Divock Origi - with Aston Villa linked with the Belgian. And Liverpool have been given a boost in their pursuit of Thiago, with Flick giving the move the green light. Flick told Sport1: “I can understand when a player thinks about a move. "Thiago played in Spain for Barcelona and in the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich.
Pulisicismydaddy 91
Looks like if United don't pay 120 mil until Monday, Sancho will stay at Dortmund and double his wages, hopefully Dortmund show them the middle finger to the twats but I think they will end up paying. Vesper 30,172
Friday August 7 2020 Football Nerd Should a Premier League club move for Philippe Coutinho this transfer window? By Daniel Zeqiri Philippe Coutinho has always divided opinion. Fans see a sparky attacking midfielder with an eye for the spectacular while critics see a wasteful player whose highlight reel fails to compensate for numerous ineffective games. The Brazilian has been linked with a move back to the Premier League in this transfer window and could be in action when Bayern Munich face Chelsea in the Champions League on Saturday. Coutinho's standing in European football has plummeted since a £142 million from Liverpool to Barcelona, where he struggled to make an impact and lost confidence. A loan spell at German champions Bayern Munich offered him a chance to restore some credibility, and Coutinho has delivered some promising statistical output despite limited game time. I analyse those impressive underlying numbers here and ponder what it means for his future.
