I am still shocked Shitty didnt move for one of them or Steven Nzonzi or Danilo Pereira or Leandro Paredes, they are crazy to go into the season with the amount of games they play with only ONE DMF, (34-before-seasons-end Fernandinho) Maybe Pepe si doing away withe the position. Maybe he will use Fabian Delph there, who nows.

On a frantic last day of business Fulham broke their transfer record with the purchase of Marseille’s André Frank Zambo Anguissa, a deal which took their summer spending over £100m on their return to the Premier League.

Fulham confirmed the arrival of Anguissa for around £30m having been granted permission by the Premier League to complete the formalities of the move after the 5pm cutoff.

The 22-year-old Cameroon international had undertaken a medical in the south of France earlier in the day. The defensive midfielder agreed a four‑year deal worth £67,000 a week.

Fulham had sought similar extra time to secure the loansignings of Timothy Fosu-Mensah, a versatile defender who spent last season at Crystal Palace, and Luciano Vietto from Manchester United and Atlético Madrid respectively. Vietto, an Argentinian striker, had cost Atlético £14m in the summer of 2015 but will now provide competition for Aleksandar Mitrovic. He has spent time on loan at Sevilla and Valencia in recent years. Deals for Sergio Rico and Joe Bryan were completed before the cut-off.

Chelsea had considered Rico, 24, as a replacement for Thibaut Courtois, after the Spain international fell out of favour at Sevilla. “Sergio is a world-class goalkeeper, and his services have been in great demand,” the Fulham’s director of football operations, Tony Khan, said. “Sergio answers our mandate of making our squad the strongest and deepest it can be as we face top Premier League opposition.”

Bryan arrived from Bristol City having pulled out of a prospective transfer to Aston Villa on Wednesday evening. The left-back cost £6m and has signed a four-year deal, with an option for a further season. “Fulham’s style of play has really stood out to me and it will suit me,” the 24-year-old said. “The opportunity to play in the Premier League is one you can’t turn down as you may never get it again in your lifetime.”

Jean Michael Seri, André Schürrle, Calum Chambers, Alfie Mawson, Maxime le Marchand and Fabri had joined earlier in the summer. Slavisa Jokanovic’s side are at home to Palace, coached by the former Fulham manager Roy Hodgson, on Saturday.

Yeah I think hes a great young player. We were linked with him years ago when he broke out at Porto. He went to Wolves for peanuts in all reality because he is easy a 30-50m midfielder in the next 1,2 or 3 years. Also coming from Porto and going to the Championship is an interesting step but probably makes his adaption to the PL much better because hes done the championship, which is a gruelling league physically speaking.

PSG agree £33m deal for Schalke defender Thilo Kehrer

Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a deal worth a reported £33m (€37m)to sign the Schalke defender Thilo Kehrer, with the Germany Under-21 international set for a medical before sealing a move to the Ligue 1 champions.

The 21-year-old made his Schalke debut in February 2016 before enjoying a proper breakthrough last season. The centre-back was also part of the Germany team which won the European Under-21 Championships last year and played 27 matches in the Bundesliga last season.
He leaves Schalke after six years, having joined the club’s academy from Stuttgart in 2012. Schalke’s sporting director, Christian Heidel, did reveal, however, that Kehrer had verbally agreed to extend his stay with Schalke before PSG submitted a significant offer for the defender.

“In the end we decided to go for the transfer on financial grounds,” Heidel said. “Particularly since the player’s contract is due to expire next year.”

“A few weeks ago we had actually agreed a contract extension with Thilo. If this offer from PSG were not to have come through, I’m sure he would have gone ahead with the extension, likewise if we had turned the offer down or in the unlikely event something was to stop this deal going ahead.”

The man is as problematic as they get. No thanks to such characters.

Even if they perform good enough, they are eventualy pushed/force move out like Costa or Tibo. 

Just avoid this. There are Kovacic, Neves and bunch of other options we can pursue instead.

Problematic? Like Kovacic who went on strike and didn't want to train at Real because he didn't want to be there unless he was guaranteed regular minutes? Before asking to train alone as he didn't want to be there? Unfortunately that is what footballers do these days. Its perhaps unfair to point it out on Kovacic but again it could be the same with Rabiot. Doesn't necessarily mean people are problematic if they don't want to extend contracts at their clubs or that, there is always other implications or reasons as opposed to automatically dubbing somebody "problematic". Yes there are rumours of an ego problem and yes he didn't want to be on the reserve list for France but I honestly don't think they will care seeing as they won the World Cup, if anything it was his loss. 

Anyway, Rabiot is a good footballer in my eyes, solid defensively, good technique, quite strong on the ball and wherever he goes if he doesn't remain at PSG beyond next season he'll be good. A lot of talk of Barcelona wanting him but now they have Vidal perhaps they've shelved that idea. I think as well PSG would be stupid to lose him because he came through their academy and despite all the money they have he is quite well suited to their midfield after maybe initially not being as regular as he would have wanted when they started signing big players. Only 23 years old, played over 150 games for PSG, plenty of room to improve and a lot of big teams will be after him.

When Kepa Arrizabalaga signed for Chelsea for a world record £71m this summer it raised a few eyebrows as these kind of landmark transfers

However, what if someone were to tell you that that outlay was less of a big deal for the Blues than their signing of Fernando Torres was at
the time?

I would argue Mbappe is that once in a decade plus (look at he length of time between Maradona and then the rise of Messi and Ronaldo) who can be top 5 player ever. Of course he has MANY miles to go to get there, BUT he already has a WC (something 5 of my top 10 players ever do NOT have)
