RoyalBlues 4,050
The way Costa hamstring condition, Drogba looks like will be released and Remy cursed 'to have an injury when Costa injured' thing. Think we will sign an experienced 3rd choice striker for next season.
CurlyHairLikeLuiz 1,625
I would have thought Drogba will not leave, but will probably move back a step to 4th choice, and start moving into coaching. No idea who we'll get for 3rd though. If Bamford's up for it (which Juan reckons he isn't) sure. Otherwise I can imagine it being a 30+ guy for us. Maybe Branislav might have a crack at it
Blue Colored Sky 1,807
Ok back on topic, since I think this thread is to discuss transfers of our team.I want to discuss about the "likely outs" part.Cech - think this one is for sure (99%)Mikel - Zouma has basically replaced him as the lock on the door in the final minutes and the backup for Matic. Think he will leave, with his final EPL medal (90%)Drogba - to go to the MLS league or to become our 4th striker player/coach? He confirmed he will play on after this season, at Chelsea or not. (70%)Remy - great back up, but struggled with injuries over the season and especially when Diego was injured, he was too. Can see the club selling him if a good bid comes in and buying a real rival for Diego. (50%)Filipe Luis - win trophies and stay or go away and play? As long JT is our starter, I can imagine Mou won't drop Azpi at LB. Those two have builded an understanding which is vital for our defense. So it would just be repeat of this season for him, unfortunately, as I am a big fan of him. Going back to Atletico as a deal for Koke? (50%)Oscar - I think he has a lot of value on the transfer market, the #10 of Brazil and Chelsea, 23 years old and not bad looking. If a "Luiz bid" comes in I can see Mourinho considering selling him, since he doesn't trust Oscar in big away games, and Oscar failed 3 seasons in a row at the last part of the season. (40%)Ramires - "my ramires is back" normally I don't think Mourinho will sell him as he loves Ramires. But if Ramires is pushing for a move himself due the lack of first team appearances, I can see the club selling him for 15-20M (30%)Other than the above mentioned, I can't see anyone leaving. Maybe a loan for some youngsters. What you guys think? From the first team I really think that Cahill departure is likely. We'll most probably (and to be honest we have to) buy new CB. Then you have JT, Zouma, *new CB* and Iva for a cover. Mourinho already showed that he can drop Cahill. He's one of the main reasons that holds us back in our play. And to add to the fact that contract talks are dead for year now, I don't see Cahill being here long-term. Unless he wants to be 4th choice CB.

It's debatable whether he is good enough to be a starter, but as a 3rd choice CB he is very safe. didierforever, Toli, EMK and 6 others

Unless he wants to be 4th choice CB.Sorry, but no. Yes he hasn't got much pace but if you're looking at it purely on that level Terry is our weak link. Obviously in practice that's not the case but if you think we're going to sell the first choice England CB while his partner will be retiring in 1 or 2 seasons' time then you're lying to yourself.Ideally soon we get a pacier RB so Iva moves to CB as backup (when Terry retires) or an LB so Azpi can move back (this will probably be end of next season), as yes having such a slow back line is crippling for our style of football. However Azpi Iva/Cahill Zouma (new LB) would be just fine. Cahill is a good defender, and when he gets stranded on the right while Iva is still on the pitch he does fantastically, and makes so many important blocks/clearances didierforever
CurlyHairLikeLuiz 1,625
IMO I'd like to see a domestic cup squad trusted right until the final. It'd be great for development and giving youngsters experience, and take pressure off of our first team. It'd also bring opportunity to give people such as Iva the chance to exercise their leadership skills. Can change obv, but it'd be designed to rest our most sapped players - Cesc, Matic, Hazard. Etc Etc.Something like this -2nd keeper-Azpi Iva © Zouma Ake (2nd DM) RLC Juan C. Oscar Willian Remy/BamfordNB I just found out ( C ) does the cool circle thing!Which allows stepped phasing - ie the season after RLC goes to first team, say, Ramires leaves - Colkett comes in next to the DM. Or Ake elevated to first team DM and Jay Dasilva comes in. Muzchap and DDA

kellzfresh 7,229
More passers in midfield needed incase fabregas/Oscar goes on 2nd half of the season slump again. (Koke, cabaye,) Another striker needed especially technical one. (Lacazette, dybala) A physical box to box midfielder who can pass and has long range shooting. (schneiderlin, Andre Gomes) Goalkeeper to replace cech (preferably English)And we're set for next season. ZOS and bababoom
didierforever 7,349
we still do need a couple more players to be right there. i would have preferred varane but dont think jose would be breaking up GC-JT any time soon. for that matter, zouma looks likely to be more of a part next season. midfield is definitely a region where we need an enforcer/controller.one of pogba/koke is a must.dont feel the need for a striker. costa-remy-bamford should and IS good enough. we were very unlucky with striker injuries this season. but think, with a proper month or 2's rest, costa will be in a much better shape injury-wise next season.a 2nd GK is a must. rob green is a ticking time bomb - dont want him at all. brad freidel and john ruddy come to mind.transfers:ins -pogba - 60mil pounds.freidel - freetotal~ 60milouts -cech - 10mil poundsmikel - 5mil poundsramires - 15mil poundsthorgan - 5.5milmoses - 5milromeu - 3milmarin - 2.5milpiazon - 2milkakuta - 1miljosh - 1miltotal ~ 50milsquadGK - courtois, freidel, blackman(HG)DEF - JT(HG), GC(HG), Zouma (U-21), Iva, Azpi, Luis, Ake (U-21), Christensen (U-21)CM/DM - Matic, Cesc(HG), Pogba(HG), Mvg, Rlc(HG)AM - Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Cuadrado, ?, ?ST - Costa, Remy, Bamford (HG)cesc and pogba can obviously play as AMs. all 4 of our AMs can play as wingers. nadavTKL 1,787
Dont think we can allow Mikel+Ramires to go if we're not getting two CMs. So if Pogba/Koke is coming, i would keep Ramires. Mou would probably like to keep him anyway.MVG.. i dont know, i havent seen Milan this season more than a few... but i heard he was very average (like you could've seen playing here). And its not really a 2 CM system with 4 players, if the line up above me will be the one we play, its 3 positions- Cesc, Matic, Pogba. When Oscar, Rami and MVG/Mikel/X are the 3 options from the bench, and Willian. Cesc and Pogba can play in the 10 and deeper. bababoom

LondonsFinest 692
Personal expectations and best scene scenario would be for us to:Sign Rob Green for 2 million (and below); Nathaniel Clyne (20 - 25 mil.) ; Gareth Bale/Isco/Griezmann/Koke/Pogba (Given the fact that they are all world class players and can honestly take us one step further). And ofcourse:Sell Cech(sadly, with a heavy heart, this legend has to leave(10 - 15) mil.); Mikel(still think Ruben can do his job pretty easily); Profit from any loanees which their respective clubs want to keep and pay a good fee for them. Don't think we need any DRASTIC changes. Only on Brana's position. The other pointed out would be a position, which, with Mourinho's tactical mind in hand, will be picked, depending on the oppoisition and the approach to the match. nadavTKL
Parky 739
I don't see Jose willing to sell Ramiers as he is a good squad player unless we get a offer over £30 Million. I can see Mikel and Cech leaving. Oscar only if we get an offer over £40.We need a good young striker to be a direct rival to Costa. I like Benteke if the money is right. Khedira on a free signing would be a great addition to our squad. We also need a world class left footed winger to complement Hazard. I really want us to go for Bale. Shirts sales will give us some money back.
