In his blog today he doesn't mention winning on Saturday but he referenced Mikel goal later on. He only talked about the two previous losses and a hope for a win at Swindon.

Why are people acting like playing out wide is beneath him? He played that position in Valencia up until the year Silva left and did so under AVB during his first season here. Similar level of players like Isco, Cazorla, Silva etc also play on the flanks.

Tactically, physically and defensively is the far better better option in the middle. He simply offers the balance Mata can't give us.

Didn't agree with him dropping Mata from the squad entirely but if this 'tough love' treatment finally gets Mata to participate in defending so be it. I expect him to dominate on Wednesday and start against Spurs.

Honestly United would be quite a good fit for Mata. An attack line of RVP and Ronney with Mata just behind them would be lethal and they have midfielders to do the protection and dirty work. But Moyes may need to change his way a little bit.
