Wow, so if you choose a number between 1-15 (?) you are egomatic person who thinks they are bigger then the club?

Term you can make up any assuritions you wants, but please base them on logical evidence, something more then a stupid number on the back of a shirt. JT has 26, and Strruidge has 23 - by your logic that aren't first team players. Oriol must think he above Roman because he was assigned the number 6.

Really...

The fact Benayoun decided to choose 10 in the first place, tells you the type of person he is. He thought he was above this football club, and deluded himself into thinking he was worthy of a first team number.

Ferreira never 'had' to do anything, Deco & ferreira were friends.. so it was completely different.

complete bullshit

Sturridge choose 23 due to his Michael Jordan idolisation.

JT was handed 26 by Zola, because he was always trying to 'go one better' than him in training (apparently).. thus 25/26

31 year old Benayoun left history rich Liverpool and decided he was going to walk into the first team.

Who gives, arguably, the most valuable squad number to a fringe player. numbers such as 1, 4, 5, 7,8,9 and 10 should be reserved for key/regular starters only imo but it's not a big deal.

guys, number don't play...players do...so it's not important at all...10, 11, 24, 54..never mind :P

You can call him a fringe player, but for many on here - or maybe just me - he was the man of Pre-season, he showed how much of a threat he was and was continously making attacks out of nothing. If you want someone that can make the team better not in the team, then surely you are deluded.

I would rather have Benayoun as a first team starter on the left wing then Malouda, or on the right instead of Kalou.
