Pizy 18,903
So now we'll see the inevitable "Wenger in sensational Mata swoop" in tomorrow's Daily Fail.
nadavTKL 1,787
Its over and done. When the next words are on the OFFICIAL site you know its done: "On unused sub Juan Mata, who has been linked with a move away from the club:" and then Mou goes on and explains why he didnt started him and that he's "not going anywhere" and speculations are "nonesense".The club and Mourinho would look very stupid if Mata will be sold now after this. Especially Mou.
Jase 43,479
MirrorFootball @MirrorFootball 15m 4) Tottenham are keen on Chelsea spare-part Juan Mata: http://bit.ly/15fgLgM I'm sorry but FUCKING HELL! Can't believe they just called Mata a Chelsea spare-part!!
chrismada9 1,948
I'm so sick of the media branding the whole "Mata being dropped" as exit speculation. FFS he's not 100% fit and that's why he hasn't been playing! (And Luiz)Anyone who says that the transfer market should be shut before the opening game of the season is absolutely right. All the media do is write a lot of nonsense to unsettle the players in question, and it's annoying! Soon as one player misses three games, suddenly there's speculation on whether he will leave! ... and the Willian transfer news certainly doesn't help matters, (pardon the pun). After all of this, I hope Mata stays and announces his long term commitment, saying that he is willing to fight for a place in the side. Seriously, if I were Mata, I would stay and work insanely hard among a group of players all trying to get into Jose's team. It will make him even more of a better player, and he'll be guaranteed to win more things under Mourinho. If he goes to Arse or Sp*rs, then I will lose all my respect for him! Good luck trying to win things with a team who's never won a trophy in 8 years!
Vybz Kartel 1,613
Last season Mata didn't play at the beginning of the season, and then he wasn't even injured like he was this preseason. He was rested by Robbie remember he was like given an extra week of vacation after playing in the Olympics

Wouldn't read to much into that. The journalist asked whether or not it was true that Mata could be on his way out and Mourinho responded by saying he's going nowhere. How else could the guy summarizing the press conference have put it when he needed to let people know what question Mourinho was answering to when he said those words? That being said, the situation does worry me but the phrasing on the match report doesn't mean anything.
Pizy 18,903
I know there's no way it'll happen, but I'd probably quit watching football if Mata were sold to another English club.
Vybz Kartel 1,613
Mourinho's honey moon period will be shortened if he sells Mata in the eyes of both Abramovich and the fans Chelsea?
LDN Blue 7,903
Not to sound fickle here, but I think we're overexaggerating what would happen if Mata was sold.. I mean it's not like we're short of attacking midfield players now, are we? The only place to be and Peace.

mikechap 11
The trouble is... And why everyone is so upset about even the possibility of him leaving... is that he's the ideal professional footballer. He's a PR dream, and not just because he communicates with the fans. Where someone like Rooney has drinking and smoking problems, Mata spends his weekends blogging, reading, listening to music, and exploring London. And that's not even mentioning his football talent. He's maybe the most cerebral player in the league. His ability will probably age like a fine wine. Roman, Jose, whoever is listening: KEEP HIM. But I personally see all of that as a bonus. I can't imagine our club being better without a player of his caliber. Let's just hope that Jose will appreciate the talent that we have enjoyed the last two seasons.

Roman, Jose, whoever is listening: KEEP HIM.Yeah but we don't know what's going on behind the scenes. Maybe his agent is a real douche and/or Mata might have instructed him to play hardball and get that key player deal he wants.Or maybe they really have no intention of selling him and just getting his fitness levels up; or perhaps Mourinho truly does not rate him as highly as most of us here do. Difficult to know for sure from the outside. Mouri_Matic and The Skipper
Mouri_Matic 560
If Mata is benched against Bayern then you know Jose doesn't really fancy him and we are about to have an issue. no more excuse if he is benched, no more injury, no more fatigue issue. Now he should and must start against Bayern, if he doesn't then we all know that Mata won't be playing a big role under Jose Vybz Kartel

Bir_CFC 3,455
And you wonder why the media keeps writing this shit, when every idiot throws a hissy-fit upon reading garbage. I mean every reliable source (Mou himself) has said several times he's staying. Furthermore, there is clear reason behind him not starting games, not like he was fully fit and left on the bench. edenhazard17
