Romelu Lukaku

The plan now will be to get the ball to Lukaku, although he is not worried about personal glory. “It’s not about records. It’s about winning trophies. I’ve realised how different people’s attitude is towards you when you win something. In conversations I had with Didier Drogba or John Terry or Antonio Conte, the respect I have is different when you start winning.

“That was something I really wanted. I wanted to win so bad. I went to Inter and then we did. That’s the only thing that matters to me – winning. Scoring goals, that’s beautiful. I know I am in a position where I can score a lot of goals. But winning trophies, that sets you apart.”

Man won one trophy and now is hungry for more. Good he will be fired up to continue to win. Just what we needed.

I like how he is being grounded about how the prem is different to seire A and he knows he needs to step it up.

Fingers crossed.

Like I said, I was skeptical about this signing but his attitude and physical condition is peak. No ego.

Yeah Ive been reserved about exactly what he addressed, Yet ive been hounded off this forum and personally insulted for every other opinion I have!

Even the man himself comes out and admits it will be tougher for him in the prem and still people will bang on about how theyre right even when theyre not or that if you dont put all your eggs in one basket that somehow makes you a moron!

I was skeptical about Tuchel when we got him and he turned out to be awesome.

Let's hope we get something similar.

What were you sceptical about? Out of interest. I was very very pleased when the rumours surfaced, just wondering what made another fan feel differently.

I think many wanted Allegri here, he was seen as a winner and discredited Tuchel accomplishments.

I personally wanted Tuchel, I thought he was a better fit and I was really against Allegri.

A lot of people were skeptical because of the bust ups he has had at every single club he's been at. He seemed a bit arrogant and combative with the clubs hierarchy which is never a good idea with the Chelsea board.

Dortmund lack the ambition of elite clubs, and PSG are very disorganized and Leonardo goes out of his way to undermine his manager.

Chelsea board only had falling out with Conte and Mourhino. Given those two history, they are incredibly toxic.

I thought this was a good fit for the players we had. Young, hungry, offensive minded, and no big egos I thought they would respond well to Tuchel.

And a board that are very clear about what the manager role is, and each member of the board duty is. Very cut and dry.

I agree with this mostly. I didn't necessarily think tuchel would be a bad fit, just relaying what others said.

I had my concerns but they weren't huge. It's clearly been a brilliant fit so far.

His issues with the board at Dortmund started when he didn't want to the team to play a Champions League game the day after the Dortmund team bus bombing.
