Reddish-Blue 2,507
He has already wasted a big chunk of his career so far playing at Everton, if he never had such a strange mentality then he would be playing for a team in the CL that compete for trophies not a team like Everton who compete for nothing and where he can get used to playing with very little pressure on his shoulders. There's nothing wrong with his mentality, he just wanted to play regular football and score goals as 20 year old kid. Some players take longer than others to mature. If he's not a starting striker at a top club by 25, then I would say his career is being wasted Stats and zolayes

The whole mentality problem was simply created by tabloids. If you would really know & follow him... you would see he is extremely mature for a football player AND a 22 year old!!He's 100% professional and just wants to play, work hard and score goals.Do you also realize he scored 46(!!!) goals in 4 premier league seasons... at the age of 22(!). He's even in the TOP 100 all time EPL goal scorers. You're just making a fool of yourself when laughing at his career! If he would have stayed at Chelsea... that would be maybe 10 goals in 20% of the appearances he had now!I also might tell you something you didn't know about Lukaku and CL. Did you know he scored 7 goals in 13 apps at the age of 16-17? Reddish-Blue, didierforever, DYC. and 2 others
zolayes 14,489
we should be very grateful to Lukaku ,as a result of last night We moved up one place above the Baggies .. Parky 739
Lukaku should thank his lucky stars for his move to Everton. He could never be the striker he is now under Jose's negative football. He probably wont even have made the bench anyway..

Shut your mouth, put your head down, stop moaning and work hard. Zouma, RLC, Kenedy and Traoré could teach something useful to this boy. You're a 20 years old kid you can't waltz into the first XI just like that, no matter how good you are. Work hard and eventually you'll make it. Plus he had Torres and Eto'o ahead of him he didn't really have to work that hard to be a starter.Wish people would come to terms with the fact that mentality is as much as important as skills to make it in a good team. How about a real life example: A) would you rather be the guy that worked at a big company but never got respect or recognition from your boss or B ) would you be the guy that worked at a medium-sized company where your boss loved you and gave you recognition for the good work you did? Popular Post! DYC. 7,542 Posted September 29, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted September 29, 2015 His mentality is brilliant. He's been playing first team football for five or six years now at the age of 22 (!) and he keeps improving. Technically, tactically, mentally, he's made great strides in all these areas. Not to mention his fitness, he obviously takes excellent care of himself. The way he dealt with child stardom and early riches is commendable as well. Sit back and think about how many 'future stars' we see and read about, and think about how many of them fall into obscurity. Most you never hear about again at top level and many others simply become decent players, even though they were supposed to be dead set to become top players.Moving to Everton has turned out be to an excellent move so he was absolutely right to make that move. He's already achieved so much at a young age. Suarez and Ibrahimovic were still playing for Ajax at 22, Lewandowski was playing football in Poland and moved to Dortmund at 22, Cavani was playing for Palermo at 22 and he wasn't a big succes there. Lukaku is well on his way.Even though I still think he's flawed and have my doubts on how good he can become, he's already proved me wrong with his rapid progression in these past few years. I never expected him to play at this level so soon. I'm sure he'll become a better player than I ever thought he would. At this rate, he could easily become a Diego Costa or Edinson Cavani. He never would've progressed in the same fashion at Chelsea, in and out of the team and being dropped quicker because of his age.The constant criticism of him not staying and fighting is nonsense imo. Footballers aren't robots. How can't people understand that every person is built differently and has their own ways of doing or dealing with circumstances. The funny thing is people shouting he should've fought for his spot are probably guilty of 'not fighting' in an area or areas in their own lives. It's always easier to tell others what they should do.We don't even know what happened. Maybe he didn't feel the trust of his manager (which leads to unhapiness and less motivation), and if he didn't feel that, whether that feeling was correct or not, he was right to leave. Chelsea only need players in their right mind and those who want to be at the club.Big bag of money for Chelsea, first team football for Lukaku. It was a very good deal for both parties. Yeboii 1,844
If you would really know & follow him... you would see he is extremely mature for a football player How much do you know him? Is he your friend or family member? If you only watch the games and read the newspapers you don't "know him", you just follow his career. He obviously wanted to move away from his favorite club because he did not see him self challenging old Samuel Eto'o and shit Fernando Torres. Thats not very ambitious. Even worse that he was/is (who knows now?) a huge Chelsea fan! He already got into his favorite club but didn't want to work harder than everyone for the chance, like Zouma has done. Blue_Fox_
