jonaaibosk 191
What are people expecting here? How on earth does anyone on here know how he's feeling and what he's thinking? The boy has been sent out on loan and he has taken that opportunity to show what he can do, without having the added pressure of leading the line at as big a club as Chelsea. This loan will do wonders for his confidence and bring him in as a player. He's still very young and has lots to learn, he'll know that more than anyone. If Lukaku had stayed and had a bad game at Chelsea the repercussions would have been much worse than having a bad game for Everton. I'm confident that he's just striving to prove to Jose that he can be Chelsea's main man and the way his loan has started I'm positive that Jose is sitting up and taking notice and liking what he sees. Lukaku is exactly the type of striker that we need and I'm sure he'll be a huge player for us next season. kellzfresh 7,229
How much time does he spend in the gym? In fact what type of workouts is he doing in there?People who say stuff like 'he spends too much time in the gym' are the type of people who have never set foot in a gym. I'm also fairly certain that you have no idea about his training regime. In my earlier quote, I said he is good in almost all aspects of his game except his consistency on his first touch and passing.I said he should work more with the ball than he goes to the gym to help with the few weaknesses. Its a logical thing to work more on your weaknesses than your strengths isn't it?

He looked like a buffalo since he was a 16 year old kid. It's all in the genes...Of course he should work on his touch, but I think he does, because it seems to get better. kellzfresh
johnnythefirst 1,076
I'm wondering how he'll do for Belgium next friday. This is his one true (short term) chance to prove he's on the same level as Benteke. An away match against the only competitor in the group, with most of the Belgian defense injured or benched. He could be the national hero with some luck...

Las7 951
Did he really tell Belgian press that he was very surprised when Mourinho called him to say he was being loaned out ? A friend of mine told me that his statement about requesting to be loaned out is PR by the Chelsea Board and just a few weeks earlier he had told Belgium media that he was surprised to be loaned. In all likelihood the board don't want to look like retards so they have given him a call and he is taking pressure of them by issuing this statement, while also getting himself into Jose's good book. In any case he is far superior that our current crop of strikers and he would have won the first team spot if he was kept. didierforever
Neira 19
He would not have won his spot, beceause Jose prefers more experienced players. Neither will he next year, because by then, Chelsea will have bought an other big name to replace Torres. But I hope Jose will be sacked by then, and replaced by a coach that has more guts and courage to bring young players. Bringing him next year, when he will already have +35 PL goals, isn't really adventurous. Mong630

First they said 'no-one had told him about a loan move until it was practically done, and that he was very disappointed'. Then it was told the decision was made by him and mourinho. Later he said it was MiIrallas who convinced him, and now this...Take your pick I guess

robsblubot 3,595
He will be back next season and far more ready having played countless matches for a good side. While it may hurt Chelsea, because he might very well be already better - at least in some aspects of the game - than the ones we've got here, it will be good for his development.Although the the exciting question would have to be, "how good Lukaku is going to be?!" borriske
