My local Asda got broken into earlier today! And just now, I've had to smell the very feint aroma of smoke from my bedroom window!

And I've seen a helicopter fly over my avenue as well! The actual events is as terrifying as what I see on the news! What's more, I feel the pain of all those people who have probably lost loved ones at the expense of these wankers who have nothing better to do than to cause havoc by stealing from the stores, and in the process, turning this capital into a fucking inferno!!

THIS ... all this carnage and destruction is the one reason that stands out, as to why I want to leave the country!!

The music isn't to blame. People who blame music either dislike that type of music or are looking for an excuse.

There was trouble just like this before rap.

Exactly!! I have mates who like rap music and listen to different rappers and they aint out bloody looting..

There is reasons for this but to be honest I doubt half the people out there have a reason and are just there for the sake of it...oooo look at me I can get free stuff lets go sort of thing. And I doubt the people whose bussinesses when wrecked and have had to leave their homes give a shit about the whole thing.

Wood Green fair enough there seemed to be reasoning behind it then it just went completly mental

That's cliché, ignorant generalization at it's best..

You've never listened to 'rap music' in your life, you've only ever heard mainstream r&b.

Do you have the qualifications to disagree with professors & linguistic professors? ...

I don't have the qualifications to disagree and I also know how rap music started.

Nowadays every idiot want's to make rap music. I know some who rap all sorts of rubbish, how life is hard in their hometown, what they do and...But in fact that is not true.

I don't dislike rap music.

I agree with this. Peckham especially has a breed of wanna be rappers who talk of murdering rival gangs and such, so in some capacity you are right.

sadly yes!

I'm in Kenton.

There's a rumour going round a gang's been seen lurking around knocking on doors and robbing people who answer. A girl will knock and ask for help & then the gang will come through behind her.

Though it is just a rumour, be careful mate!

I'll keep that in mind!! Where did you get the rumor from? Did you read about it, or did someone tell you about it?

Sad state of affairs, love the way these clowns are still harping on about this being about Duggan being shot. I bet there's probably close to zero of the rioters who give a shit about that or the government it's a load of thugs wanting to rob whatever they can get their hands on and smash whatever they can reach, most of them doing it because their mates are doing it and the other ones doing it because they think it's cool to fight police. A load of sad cunts the lot of them, glad it's not as bad tonight but worringly hear some of the violence and robbery is shifting towards people rather than property.

Someone told me.

I don't think it's true, personally, but with the way things are going, it's better to be safe than sorry right :)

Keep safe!

Absolutely! In all fairness, with the police at hand, people like that won't get a chance to even do something as dispicable as that.

Also from the BBC, and one of the most startling updates yet (to me, at least): "A police station in Nottingham has been firebombed by a group of 30 to 40 men, according to Nottinghamshire Police. No injuries were reported."

There are no riots in Nottingham atm though.
