I dont think he has been THAT bad, our only problem is Mikel's below par displays at the start (especially against Arsenal) and Romeu coming in and making an instant impact had led us to believe he is some sort off superman is why it's led to believe he's been crap.

He's been ok, he just isnt Makele yet.

I agree.He's definitely better than Mikel and can be a great player for us but I will be very disappointed if he chooses to go back to Barcelona.

I beg to differ.Romeu wasn't considered because our past few games have been against mediocre teams and AVB chose to use an attacking cm in form of meriereles.Also the return of Essien has made it more difficult for Romeu.IMO hes a wonderful talent and is a very good defensive midfielder.His passes are truly exceptional and his defending is top class.

He's good, i'm not disputing that, just don't think he has been playing well as of late.

The facts are he played and was impressive, he got better the more he played. He's since not played that much and therefore hasn't played as well but his potential is there. He's not a robot, he's not just gonna walk into the team at 20 and not have a bad game. He was very poor when he came on at the weekend but that was against a very hungry, aggressive Man Utd team that needed to score. This is Man Utd not Bolton, very tough situation for him and he was obviously nervous.

I think he should play tomorrow with Essien and Lampard with the usual front 3.

If I had to choose between Essien and Romeu,I would pick the former.Essien offers more upfront and is more experienced.He also needs to play more but with Ramire's injury I really hope AVB chooses to play Essien Romeu and Lampard as our three midfielders and not play Raul AND Malouda.

I don't think people are "slagging him off". We are just commenting that he does have flaws and isn't playing as well as he was when he first came into the starting XI, which is a fair comment imo.

Go to the Barca forum and they are still convinced Oriol will be a Barca player. Some have even gone and claimed its actually secretly a mind trick to tell them they won't re-sign him now, but later.
