Honestly, it's worrying that the United wingers who aren't going to be used much this season - Giggs and Park - are probably much better options than Malouda and Kalou.

Wouldn't worry about Giggs.

Pereirra is a LWB and I don't think AVB will ever use him in LW role. I have never seen him play there for Porto in their 4-3-3 even when their regular LW player was out.

We need a natural wide player that doesn't cut inside which DS, NA do being converted strikers and even JM admits to doing. BTW what about Ibrahim Afellay from Barcelona? He's available for around £5 million and a upgrade from Kalou.
