Funny, you call other people dickheads, idiots, pathetics and other words like that and manage to get a "wisest forum member" award.

Maybe thats a hipocrisy problem.

only time I ever called anyone a Dickhead was TX over 2 years ago ... Rarely call anyone an idiot ,,not even you , so again get your facts right.

Really liked this quote from one of the reports online....

"It turned out to be Lampard's day, no doubt about that, and if it was the case that he was reluctant to celebrate with his manager at the end then so be it. Villas-Boas is trying to shake it up at Chelsea and even after that goal, Lampard knows there is no guarantee he will be in the team to play Portsmouth in the FA Cup on Sunday."

AVB is out of his depth, we can only hope he can learn to swim with the current bunch of players he has for this season and make top 3-4 , or this january he gets the money to buy a motorboat to speed up the process.

Lampard and AVB do have issues, that is almost a fact.... but he had to be reduced from a 90 minute player at some point in his career.....he obviously does not like it and will have some ill feeling towards AVB, any human being would have.

I am a little concerned about the stories going on about a rift in the squad..... the story might be media hyped , but does have undertones of the truth somewhere there.... AVB has made alot of big decisions, some correct, some a bit arrogant, and sidelined the 'Player Power' legends of the club.... That is of some concern...

AVB will either stand up and be counted in the next month before The united game, or will fall.... We have 4 easy games... Portsmouth ( if Youngsters lose, thats ok) then sunderland, norwich and swansea,,,, but 9 points from these 3 games is a must,.,,, last month we screwed up and had a 'bad moment'....

We let it go blamed players manager bad luck and everything else....

If we cant convert these 3 games into 9 points, then AVB needs to do some real thinking of what is really wrong, and if it is the players, then maybe try a different method towards training and communicating with them.

KTBFFH.

Lets move forward!

Instead of dropping lampard, a player who does score quite a bit....

Why doesnt AVB try and change Lampards game a bit to suit this stage of his career...and the team?

The only problem with lampard is that he doesnt make those defense splitting balls as often as before and many times slows the game down...

He cant make those defense splitting balls anymore simply because his first reaction is to take one too many touches and slow the game down.... So AVB should figure out a way to make Lampard remember the quick passing he used to do....That will do wonders for Lampard over the 90 minutes and will earn him back a regular starting position.

Like it or not, he bleeds blue and his heart beats blue. There is no other Chelsea player on the pitch other than terry who has as much passion as Lamps does.

AVB justs needs to get the best out of him, not by dropping him, but by helping him rejuvenate to the old Lampard. That is what any coach in the world should know how to do.

AVB did the same in the interview after Man City, he completely avoided the question and didn't talk about Lampard. We all know him and the players don't get on, it's quite obvious. A happy team and a together team plays better than we have this season. I just hope the win against wolves does help everyone unite and genuinely does kick start the season because there are problems there for sure with JT, Lamps and AVB. Lampard is 33, he's not 25 so he can't play every game but he needs to be treated a lot better and with more respect because he's a proper Chelsea legend and AVB was here when he was at his absolute best from 2004-2008.

If we don't unite, we can forget about getting 4th.

There is no crisis, Lampard is a 33 years old player, and is not playing very well, AVB seems to have Romans backing. You are the one that see an attempt to create crisis in every article in the media. The Sun was the first that reported about Alex and Anelka case.

I thought he scored the winner yesterday, could be wrong though. Yes AVB has Romans backing...and your point is ...?

Lampard was sidelined because he wasn't performing.

Weren't we all crying last season for that to happen, but now it's a big problem...

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Hypocrisy at its finest.. Get a grip people.

Lampard should not be disrespected in any way....by fans or manager...

He should still play regularly.... just as long as he speeds up his game a bit....age does that to footballers but its not something a midfielder cannot overcome....

He doesnt need to run his lungs off....just pass a bit faster;;;;

A little more like ramires and a bit less like Mikel...

Otherwise he is class and should remain in the spine of our team atleast till next season,,,,then re assess where he is at.

BUT....if we have to change our style of play... We need space in midfield for another player.... Catch 22

What?!

Lampard is simply past his prime now. Too long does he go in a game without any meaningful contributions. Yes we're grateful for the goal he provided and he's good experience to keep on the bench. He's simply not a starter though, because he can't adapt. Why should the squad adapt to him? I don't understand this.

Agreed. Maybe this will be clear for everyone to see when/if we get a decent young attacking midfielder to take Frank's place.

Lamps has always said he wanted a career similar to Gigs in the sense that he wants to play till he's 37-38. But we have to realize that if that's the case then, like Gigs, Frank has to accept a smaller role and less minutes each season from now to achieve this desire.

Nah he aint a starter anymore but its always good...maybe not for him to have experince to call on when needed. He cant start every game now its not gana do him good fitness and tiredness wise and when he has been rested he does play a lot beter and have a postive impact

Dont think it helped his case when he wasnt played and he wasnt missed so much..good from our view means we can make changes and not dependable on one player but not so good from his view!

One thing I do respect he has done is that he cut of Anelka and Alex from the club when they submited transfer requests (I don't appriciate cutting Anelka of from New Year lunch though). Why couldn't they keep playing and when the transfer period began release a tiny rumor that they are available for transfer? Instead BOOM transfer requests. Kalou probably changed his mind when he saw what happened with two of 'em.
