Yeah, could be. I'm only going by that email posted by another fan (Michael) on a different forum. This was about two and a half months ago:
-
A fan emailed the club (Chelsea FC) two months ago regarding this matter and the club's response (via email as well) was that Salah has not been sold. Still a Chelsea player, on loan at Roma.

More worried about Gareth Bale joining United to be fair. Heard that Madrid are going for Pogba only if United pay the 120m for Bale. Knowing that United have all the money in the world to spend and Mourinho had Bale on his wishlist last summer, such offer is more than possible.
-
Sounds like he's asking for a new contract, rather than a come and get me plea to Chelsea.
-
I have absolutely no doubt that he would choose Conte over Mourinho, regardless of how much money United offer him. If he is to leave, of course.
-
Always a pitty when players get injured, but this is a blessing in disguise for Chelsea.

Spain have a relatively easy group at the Euros and Morata will lead the line for them in France. Could easily bang a few in the group stages and his price will go 15-20m up in a blink. Could flop as well, but I doubt it, Spain seems motivated than ever to do well in France. And they will. Watched Morata speaking today and he said that if a transfer is in place for him, he wants it to be done by the start of the tournament. He does not want to go into the tournament thinking of anything else but the national team. Spain only play on Monday so let's hope things clear up by then.

Why Chelsea should not plunder the Serie A
petre.ispirescu replied to Strike's topic in Chelsea Articles
This season Chelsea can't be as attractive as in the last seasons because the lack of Champions League football. So in order to sign high profile players you don't need to pay big transfer amounts only, but super high wages, too. This is the only way a world class player would join Chelsea this summer, if he is payed is gold. But it seems that this is not the plan for Chelsea and it makes me think that the biggest reason why our club keeps being linked with Serie A players is because of their salaries. You can get relatively good, to very good players not only for decent transfer amounts, but it would be no problem for Chelsea to double their wages, too. The likes of Remy, Mikel, Cuadrado are being payed around £4m per year, while Nainggolan and Pjanic are getting around somewhere between £2m and £2.5m from Roma. And we're talking about good players. Manolas is on £1.3m per year deal. Napoli's Koulibaly is on £650k per year deal. Less than Begovic. Chelsea would easily afford to double or triple salaries to more than 80% of Serie A players. This, for me, is the main reason why we're looking into players from Italy this summer. -
Judge him after June 15th. That's when Switzerland play their 2nd match at the Euros. If he can't score four (one of which must be a chilena) against mighty Romania then he is no good.
-
£23m would be a steal. Hope Chelsea tapped him already.
-
A cripple and blind Falcao is ten times better than this donkey.
-
In the last hours Chelsea had a 30m euros plus bonuses offer rejected. Napoli want at least 40m euros.
-
Eric Bailly shits all over Rudiger and you better mark my words here as he's left the Ivory Coast training camp because he is on the verge of signing with an English club. Supposedly Leicester, for 19m. Should this donkey Rudiger join Chelsea, compare the two of them in a year's time and see who mugged who here.

Sounds like an improved version of Carlitos Tevez to be fair

Conte's system includes three central midfielders, one of which is a Regista, e.g. Pirlo at Juventus who was playing deeper than Pogba and Vidal. Jorginho is a Regista and now Conte at the NT has De Rossi and Thiago Motta in that position. Jorginho would have been the 3rd choice there because in the other two central midfield positions Conte wants something different to what Jorginho has to offer. He wants constant movement, runs in behind, energy and Jorginho does not possess those characteristics, he is more of a deep lying playmaker. This is why Conte kept Florenzi, Ghiaccherini, Parolo and Sturaro for those two places.
-
Heard he left Juventus because he felt that 3-5-2 is not the best tactic for playing in Champions League and Conte wanted to switch to 4-3-3, but in order to do that he needed two top wingers (Alexis Sanchez and one of Cuadrado/Candreva/Nani). But Juve did not want to spend much money that summer, hence he resigned. Is it true?

This was a good read. Grazie mille

Welcome mate hope you enjoy it here. We appreciate your insight on Conte's Juventus.

Guys you did not get my point. Yes, they had this option, but it was between the two clubs. Roma had to negociate with the player, too. Had Rudiger rejected Roma's contract proposal he'd have gone back to Stuttgart, no matter there was an option to buy or not. You cannot transfer a player against his will, even if the clubs agree a fee. An option to buy at the end of loan between two clubs does not mean that the player is automatically obliged to accept it, too. I'll repeat myself, but do you really think Chelsea could be that stupid to buy him for three times, or four times the amount when the club can easily reach the player's agent, persuade him to reject Roma's proposal and do business directly with Stuttgart? Maybe even get him for less than 9m because Stuttgart have just relegated from Bundesliga and they are in no position to negociate bullshit prices. Plus that Rudiger does not want to go back there and probably his wages do not fit Stuttgart's salary cap for 2nd division. I'm no business man but you don't need 6 years in college to smell the bullshit in this. Wait for someone to buy for a certain amount just for you to come back later to get the same product for three or four times the price. What's the point in this?
-
I refuse to believe and I say it again, I REFUSE TO BELIEVE that the Chelsea board would be that stupid to wait for Roma to transfer Rudiger and then buy him for 25m or 30m. Had Chelsea really wanted him, our club would have convinced the player to refuse the transfer to Roma, he'd have come back to Stuttgart after his loan, then Chelsea would have transfered him directly from Stuttgart for 9m. At least this is what I like to think and frankly this is what every business man would do. This is no fucking charity, oh yes you can have him for 9m and then I'll pay you 30 just because we're Chelsea and financially we're stronger than you. And I firmly believe that the Chelsea board is a tough negociatior because when you rob PSG for 50m on David Luiz it shows that you mean business. Chelsea board can't be idiots to pay silly money for a bang average player like Rudiger. Hopefully.
-
We're linked with Manolas and Rudiger these days, but frankly I'd prefer the club to transfer any other defender and put him on Italian lessons, rather than buy one of Manolas or Rudiger... Bonucci is the only Italian defender I'd take here, but Juve will not sell unfortunately

Thank you for your insight. I have a couple of questions for you. 1. It seems that Eden Hazard is a nailed on starter on the left wing, no doubt about that. But on the right wing Chelsea have Willian and Pedro who can play there and Cuadrado is coming back this summer. Wanted to ask you - what do you think Conte will do? Is Cuadrado one of his favourite players? Or at least he was when Conte was managing Juventus? Do you think he will prefer Cuadrado over Willian or Pedro? 2. How is Conte on the transfer market? You, asa a Juventus fan, looking over the current Chelsea squad, what do you think Conte will do? He will look to spend big in order to rebuild the squad, or try to do something with the players that are already here, maybe add one or two more? 3. And the last question - what tactics do you think Conte will use at Chelsea? 3-5-2 or 4-2-4? Thank you.

Yes next Monday in Verona, against Finland (21:45).

Only watched Italy's 1st half vs Scotland and I thought they looked good. They held a very high line and were constantly pressing high up the pitch. Lots of intensity in the first half and Conte did not sit on the bench for a second, constantly screaming on the touchline. I thought it was a really offensive side because when they were attacking Chiellini, Bonucci and Barzagli were way over the half line and the wide midfielders were basically playing as wingers, while two of the central midfielders (Florenzi & Ghiaccherini) were allowed to push forward, they were constantly right on the edge of the box. Basically this is pretty much they way Italy looked everytime they were attacking in the 1st half: The only one missing here is Bonucci who is a bit behind De Rossi, who played as a regista last night, the Pirlo role. Other than that Italy is in Scotland's half with all the players. This is one aspect in particular I liked about their game - the fact that they held a very high line and have attacked in numbers. Haven't watched the 2nd half, but the game was on replay this morning, it was already the 85th or 86th minute and the Romanian commentators were saying that Insigne could have been in goal and nothing would have changed. So I imagine Italy had no problems and everything went like in the 1st half when Buffon barely saw the ball.

This is turning into a joke now. Was a Chelsea player two weeks ago, now he does not want to come here anymore because of the lack of UCL football. But somehow prefers to go to United who last time I checked was playing Europa League... To say this was an atrocious window if we end up with the likes of Rudiger, Manolas, Giaccherini or Graziano Pelle would be an understatement. 30m on Antonio Rudiger, imagine that. Fucking Antonio Rudiger. Jesus Christ.
