  1. Juventus, like Atletico, means nothing on the transfer market. They are just a small fish surrounded by sharks. If Chelsea, Madrid, United will want Vidal and Pogba, they will get them. Of course Mino Raiola will say his client wants to stay for another season. What do you expect him to say? That Pogba is unhappy and he wants to leave Juventus? His value would decrease by at least 20m the moment he says that. He is not stupid. If he'd say Pogba wants to leave, Juventus will be forced to sell and they won't be in the position of asking 60-65m anymore. The buyer will be in charge and Juventus will have to play Chelsea's game. Look at Suarez - from 100m to 65m in a couple of days. You can't afford to keep an unhappy player at your team. God knows how much he will be valued at after a shit season. Juventus will only keep Pogba and Vidal this summer if there will be no offers for them. And I doubt that. Fans favourites or not, they will leave because what is there left for them to win? Nothing. They have won everything with Juventus. Time to move on and fight for Champions League, EPL etc.
  2. Chelsea can't waste such a big talent and the board should think twice before making a decision about Zouma. He has had a tough time at St. Etienne in 2014. He's gone from hero to zero in a blink of an eye and the coach dropped him immediately after his transfer here. He must go to a team where he can be a regular starter week-in, week-out. Another season on the bench and he might end up like Josh. Monaco have a 35 yo Abidal and a 36 yo Carvalho as their CB pairing. And I haven't seen them linked with any top class defender yet. On paper, Zouma should be a starter there. But if Monaco can't guarantee him at least 60% of matches as a starter, then I don't know, I'd rather have him here than on Monaco's bench. Or, the worst case scenario, as a starter for Vitesse.
  3. Oh, fair enough. You must know better. Maybe I have this impression because I've only watched him play in those five or six games before Hyypia left the club, when all the team was playing like shit.
  4. Looks like someone has called his friends at ABOLA to put some extra pressure on Atletico
  5. He is a Bayern reject, defensive midfielder that can also play left back. Cleverley level. A foul machine. Nothing special.
  6. They will get rid of Khedira and bring Kroos in. Smart move. Hopefully the team funding this transfer is not Chelsea. There were rumours about Wenger wanting to build his team around Ozil and bring Khedira to help him. He should stick to that plan.
  7. History, biggest club my ass. That shit-hole is a dead end for every world class player out there. No wonder this is the 2nd summer when Suarez wants to get out of there. And Alexis would choose Arsenal over them. I trust Brenda to work his magic here with signings a la Iago Aspas, Allen, Sakho and crawl back to the 7th place. Those scousers are so deluded if they think Henry will pump all the Suarez money into new transfers haha. Lallana, Emre Can, Lambert plus two more is all they'll get this summer.
  8. To be honest I would love to see him fullfuling his potential in a good team. But that means week-in, week-out starts and he won't get this in Mourinho's second season, when the pressure is high and trophies are a must. Everton? Tottenham? Easily a starter for those teams. I'd see Charles fitting perfectly in Roma's midfield. Charles - De Rossi - Pjanic. Or Atletico, partnering Gabi in the pivot. Or Wolfburg with Luiz Gustavo and De Bruyne. As I said, I'd take him in a blink as Mikel's replacement.
  9. Tackling - I can't say it's one of his strenghts, but not his weakness either. Let's say decent. Marcelo Diaz was the one who was doing the dirty work. Creativity - as I said, he can pick a pass. Position - DM/CM/AM. He can play in all this positions. I'll choose him over Ramires to partner Matic at any time of the day. I don't know if he can impose as a regular starter in his first season at Chelsea. But one thing I know for sure: he can easily start for Tottenham, ahead the likes of Paulinho, Sandro or Dembele. Paulinho is a poor mans Charles. But notice one thing - I'd only sign him as Mikel's replacement. Or Ramires.
  10. I might be biased here because I was born in Santiago and I support La "U", but before I start to enumerate his strenghts and weaknesses, you have to understad what kind of player he is. He has played in a 3-3-1-3 formation back in his Universidad de Chile days. When Sampaoli was the coach. -------- GK -------- --- CB CB CB ---- WB --- DM --- WB ------ Charles ---- RW --- CF --- LW Marcelo Diaz (Basel) was the DM, Vargas (Valencia) was the RW, Mena (Chile's LB) was the WB and Charles was the midfielder/attacking midfielder. I can name the others, too, but I don't know if you have heard of them. Charles and Marcelo Diaz were the only two central midfielders in that team, and because of Sampaoli's philosophy of ultra attacking football, they had to run up and down the pitch. That's one of his strenghts - monster stamina and work-rate. Also every pass was going through him at that time. He can pick a pass and he is a very humble and intelligent player. If the coach will ask him to run for 95 minutes, he will run for 95, plus one more minute. Also he has a good long shot and he is good at taking penalty kicks. I can't remember him missing a penalty kick. Weaknesses, I don't know - maybe the fact that he is not that tall and he is dominated in the aerial duels. He is in Chile what Zola was in England - everybody loves him. Even the colo colinos. He is a good player, I was expecting him to come to Europe after that magnificent season in 2011.
  11. One of the most underrated players in world football. I remember Universidad de Chile in the Sampaoli era, when everybody was calling them the Barcelona of Sud America - Charles was beasting that midfield. Inter fans fell in love with him from the very first match. Roman should listen to the old man. He is head and shoulders above Ramires and Mikel.
  12. From "Chelsea is interested in signing Emenike" to "Fenerbahce has proposed Emenike to Chelsea". This has bullshit written all over it. Just like the Aubameyang story. Also there is a very big community of Turkish people here in Romania, 90% of them supporting Fenerbahce. I've asked one of my father's friends about him and he started to laugh when he heard about that €20m price tag. He said that the guy is not worth that money and he will walk naked in front of a police station if Fenerbahce will get that money for him. Decent player, but not Chelsea material. €10-12 at most. Good for the likes of Stoke, Palace or West Ham. He said Emenike is at the same level with Lukaku and won't get better. A limited player, his technique is not good, he can't play with the back at the goal and he needs space to operate. Packed defences are his nightmare. His major attributes are his athleticism and the fact that he can pull the CBs wide (like Benzema does). And Fanatik were the first to break this story. So it's 99% bullshit.
  13. Apparently United have decided to match Juventus' asking price for Vidal (€55m) and will offer him a €15m per annum deal.
  14. One more year for Mark. Great job, Chelsea board.
  15. Calm down guys, no one is having second thoughts. Diego Costa confirmed at the radio two or three days ago that from what he knows the deal is pretty much done and he is waiting for the green light to sign the papers. The deal is stalling because Atletico's pre-season starts in a week and Simeone has asked the board to sign a centre forward by then. Atletico won't let Diego Costa go until they find a replacement for him (Negredo, Icardi or Lukaku). Also Chelsea wants to sign Diego Costa, Filipe Luis and Tiago at the same time. The board has agreed personal terms with Diego Costa and Filipe, but there was a problem with Tiago, as Monaco and Zenit tried to hijack the deal in the last days. But there is no problem anymore - Tiago has agreed today to sign a two-year contract with Chelsea. Now Chelsea will wait for Atletico to find a replacement for Diego Costa and then the board is free to announce the signings.
  16. Trusting a word coming out of Mino Raiola's mouth is like trusting Gael Monfils, Nikolay Davydenko or Fabio Fognini to save you from bankruptcy.
  17. "I don't have a problem with the signing of Cesc Fabregas. We have played against each other a lot of times. We don't play in the same position anyway," "Chelsea are my home away from home, my second home. You never know what's going to happen in football, but I'm very happy at Chelsea and I want to remain at Chelsea." "I still have three years left on my contract and want to stay there. I want to congratulate Cesc with his transfer and I'm looking forward to playing with him."
  18. I feel sorry for you mate. Next time raise the stakes to Arturo Vidal's cut and make sure you win. Revenge will be sweet.
  19. Atletico have made an offer of €31m for Icardi and Handanovic.
  20. Apparently United are in Lisbon to negociate the transfer of William Carvalho.
  21. Chicharito to Spurs for £18m doing the rounds on twitter
  22. Yes it is true. Confirmed by some solid sources. Benfica owns 50% of his rights (€7.5m). The other half is owned by Pini Zahavi, Roman's friend. Chelsea have the first option to buy him for €15m.
  23. Who the hell is Sergi Dominguez?! The Spanish version of those bollocks accounts India Kyllah and Agent Marcelo???
