I think it's more about what the nation wants, rather than what Scolari wants. Brazil's history suggest that they've always enjoyed players that can entertain a crowd. You won't see Brazil playing like Italy or France. At least not in this life. That's why David Luiz and Hulk are untouchable in Scolari's first eleven, although you can easily find some other players better than them. One thing is for sure - if those two were Germans, I bet Mertesacker/Boateng and Muller were starting ahead of them. Dante and Miranda, as centre-backs, are better than Luiz. No doubt about that. Fernandinho (or Hernanes) should start over that mug Paulinho. Willian > Hulk. As for Dani Alves and Fred - they are lucky enough that there's no one decent to replace them, only 2nd hand players.

To be honest, I won't be surprised if this is true and Jose has set his sights on him. The guy is the closest thing to Robben in European football.

I don't get you guys, why would you pass up on a La Liga champion and UCL finalist just to have someone like Blind instead? Just because he's had one good game in his entire season and Filipe is "old" at 29? For Christ's sake, it's 29, not 85, you don't die at 29. The guy is in his prime, one of the best left-backs in the world, he will guarantee you at least two or three top seasons. Blind is such a liablity at LB that even de Boer changed his position and played him as a defensive midfielder for the entire season. He's had a good game against Spain. So what? That doesn't make him the ultimate left-back out there. Comparing Filipe Luis to this guy is just silly. It's like comparing Ash to, I don't know, some fucking bellend Assou Ekotto Hyping players based on international games is the biggest mistake ever.

Can't wait to see Belgica in action

I think Le Voyeur is in Brazil right now acting as a BeIN Sports analyst. Mayweather-esque contract they say.

You guys forget something very important. ------------------ Cillessen ------------------ ---- de Vrij ------- Vlaar -------- Indi ----- Janmaat --------- Costa ------------ Blind (Iniesta) -- De Jong - de Guzman - (Silva) ------------- (Xavi) ----------- (Xabi) --------- ------------------- (Sergio) -------------------- ------------------- Sneijder ------------------- Call him a one-season wonder, but Van Gaal had Del Bosque in his pocket here Janmaat - Iniesta Blind - Silva De Jong and De Guzman - Xavi and Xabi Sneijder - Sergio de Vrij, Vlaar and Martins Indi - Diego Costa Still a PK in his favour and possibly a goal if David Silva would have passed the ball to him, instead of trying that fucking chip over Cillessen.

I'll never sleep more than 6 hours again, EVER!!! I usually sleep 6 or 6 and a half hours a night and I feel damn good all day. Without drinking coffee. Only a fresh juice or a cup of tea. Now I've slept 10 hours last night and I feel like I'm walking through Sahara Desert. Nice way to ruin my day off...

DAYUM! Welcome CESC4 Next up is COSTA19, LUIS3 and TIAGO5

None. I've said it before - there's pressure on Jose this season and he'll go for experience this time. I have a feeling he will sign Mangala (not that experienced, but a proven defender) after the World Cup and send Zouma and Omeruo on loan. Azpilicueta - Cahill - Mangala - Filipe Luis with Ivanovic (RB, CB), Terry (CB) and Cole/Bertrand/van Aanholt/player X (LB) on the bench.

Yep, laSexta is a top source in Spain, they say here - http://www.lasexta.com/videos-online/programas/jugones/real-madrid/ramires-modric_2014061100132.html - that the interest in Ramires from Carlo is real and Mourinho wants Modric in return, but also they say that this is a "non negociable offer" for Real Madrid, they don't even want to hear about such thing. At least we know there some truth in this story. I don't think there are chances of this to happen, but who knows, the summer is young. --------- Matic --------- ---- Modric - Cesc ---

Look at those fucking bellends at Arsenal forum. How can you be so deluded to think Barcelona have inserted a fucking clause that would see Arsenal get 50% of the money a team will pay for Fabregas. I mean, what team in this Solar System would insert such a clause in a contract? I tell you - no team is and will never be that stupid to do such thing for Christ's sake. The actual clause in that contract is that Arsenal will get 50% OF EVERY PENNY OVER £28m that Fabregas gets sold for. It's 50% from the profit Barcelona will make, not 50% of the entire amount. So, if Fabregas gets sold for £30m, Arsenal will get £1m. If he goes for £40m, Arsenal gets £6m. And so on. Now if Fabregas goes for £27.9m, there's no profit for Barcelona so there's no money for Arsenal Now fuck off Arsene and concentrate on your bigger fish (Remy, Khedira, Balotelli, Schneiderlin haha)
-
Did a "Ramos" there
-
The guy can run like a dog and he can be a tackle machine at times. Just turn him into a central midfielder and let Fabregas act as a playmaker.
-
Arsenal fan posted this at Redcafe: Tonight's meeting with Gazidis threw up some issues. A mate of mine went along (shareholder at the club) and he told me that there was a direct question about Cesc to Ivan which he batted away expertly with some comment about 'many players we're looking at, just a name bandied about in the media' etc. After the event, during drinks, he was more open and said that Arsene didn't see him as a priority. When challenged on this, he apparently said that everyone at Arsenal would have preferred him just to stay at Barcelona and for this all not to happen. Another director is quoted as saying that Arsenal have 'other similarly large fish frying at the moment' so Cesc was out of the picture.
-
The transfer window is far from being closed. Maybe Jose is waiting for Oscar to increase his value by winning the World Cup and put him on the market? €45-50m? Then go for Pogba/Vidal/any other top midfielder and play Fabregas as a playmaker? I just have a feeling Chelsea's midfield will be Matic - (?) - Fabregas. Hopefully "?" won't be Ramires or Paulinho.
-
Reliable, yes, they are spot on when it comes to Barcelona.
-
Agree. It looks like they wanted to make fun of the journous knowing they will make an article of anything they will hear.
-
You can read on their lips, they are indeed talking about Cesc. But the question should be: is that a normal conversation or Pique knew the mic is on and wanted to have a laugh at the journous, knowing they will make an article of every word he'll say? Supposing this is a normal conversation - Pique says that Fabregas told him the deal is done and he'll leave for €33m. Del Bosque smiles and says "no va a ganar para disgustos el presidente, me cago en la leche, lo vais a volver loco probrecillo". You can translate this something like "He is winning jack shit out of this deal [barcelona's president], poor lad, he will go nuts". He is referring to Bartolomeu (Barsa's president), receiveing only €33m for Cesc in a moment when he is already in deep shit with the finances.
