I don't really get this, we can still be unhappy with the current situation and would still "be here" in such a hypothetical situation (which wouldn't happen, we're too big and generate too much money to dive to those depths now even if Roman did leave).
For me it's all about context, if we have the worst squad in the league then i'd demand a statue of a manager if he gets us 17th, someone finishes 17th with this squad then they're the worst manager in our history.

This debate is an interesting perspective of what happened in the match.
Do the experienced players take charge and decide that things are not working and call teamates to come back and sit deep. Or is it the managers fault for not saying anything or making any tactical changes when his team is being battered for 20 mins straight?
 

Looking at the tactical performance of Chelsea just annoys me. See how we were destroyed in the middle with city players occupying spaces between the lines. Just pure tactical schooling 
 

He doesn't make runs in behind because there is literally nobody in the team playing the passes.
I have seen him run in behind loads of times in other games for the midfielder.. mainly Mount.. to turn around and play it back.
He has zero confidence in the providers so then runs out wide or deep to fetch the ball and he isn't good enough to make something happen from there... it isn't his game. 
He needs to be running onto through balls or attack low crosses.... which we do nether of lol.
If Werner was playing for Liverpool or City he would be scoring regularly and that's the simple truth.
 

I think I have to revise my previous criticism of him. He may be playing this badly because for the first time in his career, he is playing under a manager that is not tactically astute. So he is playing on freestyle with no direction.

I really think we do need a change but its tough for selections. I would take Allegri in a heartbeat. As I would have before when Sarri left.
Tuchel not bad option but has baggage and is more than likely to continue the trend of his career of few years all good, big falling out then change teams. He has done it at Mainz, Dortmund and now PSG.
