  1. If Hazard wins Player of The Year then he will win Young Player of Year. Young is considered a player who was 23 and younger before the start of the season (16th August IIRC). I am little surprise that Eden dominates the bookies odds but at the same time I think it's reasonable. Who could be a threat for him ? Only Aguero is at his level when they're in a full pomp and Kun is currently away from his best form. Let's not forget that Hazard was 2nd in the last year edition, ahead of Sturridge and Yaya Toure. Probably because defenders vote for him and remember how much of a trouble he is whenever they face them with his mind-blowing dribbling. We should appreciate Eden a bit more I think like his rivals do.
  2. First of many meetings to discuss a bribe for Mino. Hope that Roman's pocket is ready for that.
  3. You're explaining the ref, fair enough, but what I find so frustrating with them is that they're so fucking sure about their decision. Ref was like 30 metres from the action, his view was restricted through 3 bodies (Matic, Ivanovic, Mane) yet he seemed so convinced about this decision and pointed to the spot immediately. It was impossible to see clearly what happened from his position. He for sure guessed but he didn't leave even a second for thinking. I hate those fuckers, for me every potential referee is here to screw you. Probably that is FA prescription to seem convinced whenever take a major call and pretend to be here the man in charge. I don't say that referees are corrupt or something but they have to look as a tough guys apparently so they take stupid decisions many times. And they don't have any help around so they simply ridicule themself with guessing. 30-40 seconds of replays and 0 days talking about the controversy. The way it goes now, when a mistake follows a mistake and so on, the change is coming, I'm sure.
  4. I'm the only one who noticed how ridiculous one-footed is Nemanja Matic ? Seriously, I can't compare another midfielder at this level with him. He feels pain whenever he has to play with his right foot. He can break fluids of an attack and also when he does his driving runs forward when the ball rolls to his right, the power action is as good as dead. I find it very problematic. When he finally uses it, the pass has less accuracy and power, even the simple, short one. Maybe you shouldn't read my post, because when once you noticed this, your view will change and you will be uncomfortable with this ...
  5. But I still remember our beautiful play against Real Sociedad at the Bridge in the last pre-season game. Some movements oozed of quality and for 30 minutes spell we played extraordinary football, probably the best at home for a long, long time. Why we can't replicate that now is another thing. Everyone seem burned out.
  6. Palermo president said 2 things, that Dybala will leave for sure and that he will leave Italy since no Italian club can afford him. I already stated in many my posts that for me it's straight between Icardi and Dybala for our 2nd striker option (taking into consideration what is said, we're interested in both). I'd rather have Dybala, simply because he has outstanding technical qualities, that's what we lack at the moment. But Icardi is more of a Mourinho type by his character and mentality so he may have the first nod.
  7. Supporter, I have a question. What's the story behind Koke supposed transfer to Barca in the last summer. Did he reject the offer of joining them or the offer was rejected by Atletico (so was too low) ? What do you think and what's the story in Spain ?
  8. It's your opinion and I respect that but I don't agree. First of all, Chalobah is still the kind of player who needs a couple of straight games to be in his proper conditions. He can be pretty much dogshit when he plays in patches, especially after a long break. While he hit the ground running he's completely different player. I don't think that he lacks the ability of breaking attacks. After all he played the centre-back position for majority of the youth games. When I saw him at Watford he was very good all-around player. Also Zola, who worked with him closely for a season said that he thinks that his best position will be 6. I assume that when you've watched him, you probably saw the one who was low on confidence either in Burnley or Nottingham. Unfortunately, I don't have data to add and we should have his distance ground cover to say if he has good workrate. But I liked what I saw at Watford and at U19s & U21s for England. I think he has to start to have better environment around him to quicken his development. I truly believe, no, I'm 99% sure that he would be the one playing against Arsenal now and be praised for that if he had a chance in very good club early in his career like Kongdobia had in Sevilla. I don't see a much of a difference in potential between the two to be honest.
  9. Nah mate, they were probably that shit in the first place I know that some people like to explain to themselfs that Schurrle, Salah, KdB, now Cuadrado were basically that shit when they first joined. The question is why those scouts who recommended them didn't get fired already (or maybe it isn't their fault ?).
  10. Tbf our shouts do nothing. I already realised that when we have an interest in a player then we'll sign him sooner or later, if he'll be available. We had an offer rejected for him in January, what's the odds that we'll be back for him in the Summer, just like we were for Willian ? I perfectly see that we'll sign him if his price we'll be reasonable ... This guy is desperate http://www.london24.com/sport/football/clubs/chelsea/i_want_to_play_for_chelsea_brazilian_star_desperate_for_blues_to_make_summer_bid_1_3997580
  11. Does JT is really that slower than, let's say, 5 years ago when that was Ashley Cole who bombed forward ? I'm sure that Filipe played with JT in the squad at least a couple of times already, so Mourinho rather don't think that's suicidal, because he wouldn't pull that thing more than once. I simply think that Mourinho is faithful to his trusted leutanants, especially Ivanovic. I really don't think that's a fair if Azpilicueta was dropped, because he plays at the same high level, wtih absolutely ridicoulus intensity. The only thing is to drop Ivanovic, since Azpilicueta doesn't give a reason to do that, and Mourinho clearly doesn't consider this. He basically hit the nail of the head with the whole thing when he put the blame on Schurrle for City equaliser, when that was Ivanovic fault because he switched off. But you brought interesting thing to discuss. I'm sick of one thing from Jose in particular and that is when he wants to protect his side and nullify the opponent, he doesn't do that by system. Instead he does that by bringing extra protection from the certain player. Simeone, Ancelotti or Klopp or any other big manager, when they want to secure side and constarin opponent, they does that by style of play, by move of his players in that area to help, through constant shifting of midfielders. But Mourinho almost exclusively does that by bringing extra player on to take care of that matter. He did that against Filipe Luis for example by bringing Azpilicueta to midfield. Are we sure it couldn't have been done by simply instruct his side to move there, instruct his midfielders to overload that area ? Instead we are devoid of one extra player from attack. The same happened in the last game against Spurs, when Zouma was for a single reason, to only nullify Eriksen. That's why we can talk that Mourinho is super-ultra careful with his approach. I was more certain that not that Filipe will get the nod in this game against Southampton, but only on the Sunday I realised that Clyne is fully fit, and guess why Azpilicueta played ? Because he had to take care of Clyne and Filipe was "too risky" for that.
  12. I don't agree with them. I don't know what they're talking about, I watched pretty much all Mourinho press conferences, I don't know how much, 80 ? And it's the same pattern. There are 3 stupid questions to begin from the same person, Mourinho is already upset with this shit, then someone asks another stupid, obvious, sensational-seeking question, trying to bait Mourinho into this and then MAYBE is a normal question or two, but very rarely that is the really interesting one anyway. I'd like if all those sensationalism journalists were quiet and those who has a real questions to ask get the first nod. The real journalists should come forward right at the beginning of the press conference not hiding until tabloids-type finish their job. But maybe those journalists with real questions also have a fun and they feel that they're doing their job anyway where they have a prepared main theme. In Spain, even when Mou was giving headlines, there still were proper, genuine questions about tactics and style of play. After all, I almost whole knowledge about Mourinho type of coaching and thinking have from his press conferences and interviews in Spain. But I see that those "intelligent" English ones already have made excuse why they don't ask proper questions. I don't buy it at all.
  13. Remember when he put all the blame on Schurrle for City equaliser while it was Ivanovic who completely switched off in that action ? His allegiance to his leutanents is uncanny. I hope so too ! First thing first, start making substitutions before 70th minute.
  14. It's hard to talk about Mourinho philosophy in bringing youth, where he only brought Davide Santon directly from the Academy. I seriously doubt that the press would be hard on youngster. Seriously ? They rather would point what was good, especially if that youngster was English.
  15. That was sick. I remember this article from well-know chelseayouth http://thechels.net/2013/07/kondogbia-or-chalobah/ It's all about the chance. I'd be very happy if he'd have his chance here. If we want to give youth a spot to be Matic backup, I think Chalobah is better than RLC in that role. However, I just want the youth to have his chance here, so either way, I'm happy.
  16. Left-footed Willian. Are we sure want to go the same path ? We have wonderful youngsters at our disposal, give them a chance and wait for another Sanchez-type opportunity.
  17. I'm not sure at all that Atletico will lower their demands. Can someone tell me why his transfer to Barca didn't get to fruitition ? It is something that he didn't want to join or an offer was rejected ? I think he'd cost in excess of 40m of pounds and that's hugely thanks to pound to euro rate. We'd probably cut the price if we'd offer someone in exchange. I think about Filipe here. I just love how broad Koke is. It's sick that he saved his technical qualities while he hit the gym big time. He's far from someone who is shoved off the ball cheaply. Thereofer he'd live up to demands and all that pressing from the back thing. Him and Varane should be top priorioties.
  18. I think I didn't write something about Cuadrado yet so here it is. I really feared about how easy he's been shoved off the ball in Italy. Even after watching extensively his highlights, I picked up one feature that I was the most feared about. When he's pressing and attacked from the back he can loose the ball very cheaply. He can't protect the ball enough. He hasn't got enough power to stand on his feet nor he doesn't have smooth, pressing resistant technique. On the plus side I really liked how positive he was in his play, how he likes to run at his opponents. But he needs confidence to do that. They're lots of opinions about English league that I don't agree with, but in English football more than anywhere else you have to expect pressing from the back. Many teams do that like mad and also our style of play invites that. We isolate our attackers, through our approach, and they have to endure more duels, more times they have to keep the ball from heavy pressing. And that's why I was very suspicious about Cuadrado coming here. We already have offensive players in Diego Costa, Oscar, Fabregas who can't keep the ball when they are pressed. When Cuadrado will have his confidence, he will be good squad player, but we really need someone who can resist that pressing thanks to his technique and low sense of gravity. We have a specialized player in our Academy for that matter. Someone who has sublime technique, low sense of gravity and stays strong on his feet when pressed. This guy is Jeremie Boga. If we can't buy player to tick those boxes, let's give our player a goddamn chance. He's so fucking good that it will be retarded if he doesn't have his chance.
  19. He was beyond useless . You can lose your mind in anger and thoughts how is that possible for a professional footballer at that level to play that bad. But I already learned my lesson. Through the years I already understood that there isn't lowest point a footballer at this level cannot reach. It's all about confidence. The footballers are really sensitive, young, big earning twats. Majority of them don't finish school. 99% are sensitive as fuck. They have fragile mind, even so called tough guys like Drogba for example, their minds are fragile and delicate. They have to feel the "love", importance to perform. So I am not surprised how Cuadrado played so far. Mourinho already showed that he can rid his squad players of any kind of confidence. KdB, Mata, Schurrle, Salah, they are players who didn't have the lowest point in the confidence anywhere than here. Salah wasn't taking players on at all, he was afraid to death to do that and SOMEHOW he started to doing that at Fiorentina in less than a month. Mourinho through his fear of rotation and forbiddance of subbing players earlier than 70th minute, really do damage to every squad player we've had. They're bereft of any kind of confidence and that's why they can put a performance beyond ridiculous.
  20. I have little interest to talk about Jose this season, really. After yesterday show of stubbornness, I just hope to wrap this title in any possible way and overhaul this side in the summer with HIS players. Then we can verdict in his 3rd season with majority of his players if we like what his team shows or don't. However, I scrap my head how he's going to introduce youngsters since he can't do a change before 70th minute, it's forbidden apparently, only exempt from this are emergency injury calls.
  21. Football is as about entertainment as is about winning. But nothing beats winning in style, when you really put a stamp on your opponent with your approach and style of play. Winning in style is like 10 times better for me than grinding out results, scrappy goals etc. It's a huge, huge difference. If I was only interested in winning I'd be gloryhunter ... I didn't start to follow Chelsea because we were winning, no I started because we had a players like Lampard, Gallas, Gronjkaer, Joe Cole, Gudjohnsen which I started to like very much. Because they looked good on the pitch, not good on teletext ... Though regarding remaining of the season, I don't care anymore how we will win this shit. 1 goal more than opponent every match with a decider from questionable set-piece would do for me. But next season I won't accept that at all. Hope that win this season really put a platform to sign awesome players to play awesome football for majority of the next season.
  22. One could only guess, sadly. But what we know : 1. Schurrle. His transfer was plotting in 2011 before he moved to Leverkusen. We were close in 2012 but there was promise from Leverkusen sporting director that he sign here next summer. Also he started to learn English months before the move to Chelsea. 2. Willian. Also transfer was on the table in AVB's days. He didn't show up for training in Shakhtar in January 2013 to force the move to Chelsea. Eventually he moved to Anzi, but they later had financial problems following summer and we offered a help. 3. Remy. Stop gap, who had a cheap release clause. A reaction to Torres departure, just like Ba was to Sturridge. 4. Cuadrado. Well, Mourinho said that he knows much about him since he's followed him since his managerial career at Inter. He said that Cuadrado will be good here, because he knows him very well. Rather his signing but maybe he was simply asked to give a green light to this transfer just like in Schurrle case, when it was clear that Reus is gonna stay in Dortmund. 5. Zouma. A player who Mourinho spoke on the phone and convinced him to join here so rather his signing. 6. Fabregas. Mourinho talked to him at length privately, also spoke how they decided that they need creativity in midfield. His signing. 7. Diego Costa. Mourinho type, move plotted in the spring at the same time when Jose said that we're going to sign a real striker in the summer. His signing. 8. Matic. 100% Mourinho signing. He admitted that in Chelsea TV interview last year, that he watches Portuguese League very often and he has seen Matic in many many matches and convinced the board to sign him. 9. Filipe Luis. I don't know. We were interested in many players for that position : Moreno, Rodriguez, Shaw, Alex Sandro. Does Filipe was his choice or simply was the easiest obtainable ? Rather the second. 10. Salah - stop gap of course. Schurrle + Willian + Remy + Filipe + Salah - a players not directly through his idea Zouma + Fabregas + Diego Costa + Matic - through his idea Cuadrado 50/50
  23. Mourinho shows a big middle finger to Filipe. I know that team > player but he has real solution at his disposal, not some declining Ashley Cole, who Roma want to offload at any given chance, but genuine world-class player. He has 2 real athletes for both sides who are monsters at pressing yet the undisputed number one is a guy converted to RB from CB in his mid-20's, who is big and heavy and isn't natural athlete at all. Also is already 31 and looses gradually yards of pace, is complacent as fuck and wouldn't press if he has his life on the line. Go figure.
