  1. So he's going to play in the following fixtures (5 matches) : Saturday 4th April 2015ReadingvCardiff 15:00Tuesday 7th April 2015 BlackpoolvReading 19:45Saturday 11th April 2015 ReadingvBlackburn 15:00 Tuesday 14th April 2015ReadingvBournemouth 20:00 Wednesday 22nd April 2015ReadingvBirmingham 20:00 However, he will be back and can't play in this fixture (3 matches) : Saturday 25th April 2015 ReadingvBrentford 15:00Tuesday 28th April 2015RotherhamvReading 19:45Saturday 2nd May 2015DerbyvReading 12:15 Why don't loan him to the end of the season ? I wonder if Chelsea somehow want to use him at the end of the campaign.
  2. Good luck but ... What was even a point of keeping him here, I don't really know. Same case with Lewis Baker. And then they have to find some emergency loan. What's really weird is that Jose said that Ake is practically already made player. But he didn't get his chance when there was a gate after Matic suspension and Mikel injury for Ake to get his chance. Pretty little liars I guess. Again. From what I've seen of Ake, I think he should boss there with his already big maturity. Though there were talks that he's going to Besiktas, a current leader of Turkish League and now he's landed to fight against relegation in English Second Division. LMAO.
  3. Better than both. Tammy Abraham will soon be found out. I know he scores a lot but he hasn't got anything to his game apart from that. He's oversized lad for his age and he can treat his opponents like decoys. He dominates physically but is pretty poor technically. Brown is the second youngest debutant in the Premier League and that's not because he was extraordinary talent. He's prototype English winger/forward - pace, strength and decent technique. He's great athletically and has respectable size, occasionally can do nice things with the ball but you don't have this feeling that he has something special about him. Though I think he would cope in the best way with demands from Championship right now because he seems ready from physically point of view.
  4. All his ridicoulus athletic atributes : pace, agility, stenght, jumping would make him very good player. Add to that close controll and dribbling and he'd still be elite player. Lampard never got technique of Ronaldo nor his atheticism. Besides Ronaldo is a striker not a midfielder. You'd make list of tens forwards who without goals would be way way worse. Can't say that about too many midfielders.
  5. Would love if he one more time commit himself to the great cause and become our bargaining chip in negotiation with Real over Varane. Then he would become even bigger legend in my eyes. I'd owe him my eternal grateful.
  6. When he signed annex to his deal with Dortmund he became the highest earning player there. Robert Lewandowski agreed lower annual salary than Real proposed him literally in the last week before he signed his pre-contract with Bayern, however he took a very hefty signing fee from Bayern. His agent is also MP in Poland, therefore he has to reveal his earnings to public and he netted something like over 3 millions € from this transfer, then you can guess how much a player earned himself (a lot). His transfer wouldn't be cheap at all. He's highest earning player in Bayern (alongside Lahm, Neuer and Robben I think), his wages would be a problem, his fee would be a problem. But he would be a very, very good because he has elite hold-up play and he links with others brilliantly, something we lack from Diego.
  7. I don't believe that United would offer anywhere near that figure. They have to buy like a) world-class CB b ) right-back c) world-class midfielder And then also a winger. However those 3 positions will cost a lot and if they're going to sign a winger I think they will turn for someone cheaper (Depay in on agenda for a long time now). Let's not forget that bar Angel Di Maria, their record signing is Juan Mata for £37m. Their owners are not like Abramovich, Perez and those from PSG and City, they are not passionate to buy players to have fun with them, they still want to make money and run United as a business. I doubt they have an obsession about one player like those owners above, instead they see $$ in potential purchase. Considering that they spent a lot last summer and there are still positions to strengthen this summer, I doubt they are going to pay over the top for a player, they are not that kind of owners.
  8. Managers also have agents nowadays so City and others can speak with their targets through agents all they want.
  9. What I know is that we can afford him as well as Koke and Varane. We can buy 3 players of that caliber and price because we've done our job perfectly in the last years regarding FFP. I'd rather go for Reus but seriously, there're limited options to choose from and Bale is one of them. You know, those extra 50 millions of pounds from new TV deal can go directly to buy the player of Bale quality. I think he'd be so good for Mourinho counter-attacking football, literally perfect. Though he hasn't got sublime technique but I don't agree at all if he's labelled limited. What ? He has very good technique actually. Against packed sides he won't be extraordinary (still way better than Willian) but against the big side he'd be godlike with all that space to hit on the counter. We are toothless against any big side with our attacks and this guy alone could solve that greatly. We'd actually attack them and not limited ourself to 1 or 2 isolated situation like it is now. He's tailor-made from Mourinho. If Real drops the price to €60-70m then go for him and let's give us a chance to stand side by side against the biggest boys.
  10. I'd say good news. He doesn't come to City and make them organised side with all the quality they have, so that's a big plus. City may now turn for Benitez However if Jose won't be here long term then the options of managers are now shorter.
  11. To be fair, about his technique I still can't decide. Last season he seemed really polished with all around game though that was mainly in U18. However this season there are matches when he looks nothing more than poacher. Maybe it's a bit complacency with that everything goes so easily for him but I'd say that his technique is hit and miss. We'll see how it will look like in the senior football. His coach (I think that was Adi Viveash) described him as a number 9,5 who can play comfortably as a number 9 and as a number 10 so they regard him in the Academy as a player with high technical abilities.
  12. Carvalho was like 183 cm or even shorter. But I think 183 cm is like minimum requirement. Solanke is big enough. Actually his physical presence since the young age may prove pivotal if Mourinho wants to promote him. Every youth player he introduced was big, everyone like 6'2" tall. I think that Dominic will be in the senior football next season though rather somewhere on loan. U21 football isn't a challenge now.
  13. I'd only take this guy over Filipe (regardless of age) (And Filipe was even better than David last season, however I rate Austrian higher) Filipe is an elite full-back. This opinion from Real Madrid's camp is one thing but what else could prove his sheer quality than the respect Mourinho paid to Filipe ? He put his most trusted lieutenant to specifically play and contain Filipe runs, our boss even restored forgotten man Ashley Cole into the side to put Azpilicueta on that exterminate mission. The respect from Mourinho is the biggest tribute the shadow can do to the man, as classic says.
  14. Why ? Oscar has already 50 caps for Brazil. That's astonishing for 23 years old, no matter what nationality, but to play that for the nation which produced the most flair players in the history, you would think that this guy Oscar, to play 50 times for that nation in an offensive position as 23 years old, he has to be some special player, a pure quality who oozes with flair and excitement.
  15. Mourinho tries to turn Ivanovic into his new Maicon. He seems to treat Iva in the same way he treated Maicon and he tries to encourage Serb to play in Maicon's way. That's bizzare. Maicon was one of a kind, he had Ivanovic size packed in one body alongside ridiculous athletic traits, therefore he could attack up and down non stop. That was sheer power down the right side, Jose tries to emulate that with Iva, but he simply has too many flaws and is nowhere near as powerful as Maicon. Jose clearly needs this kind of big guy on the flank, I hope there's the new Maicon somewhere in the market who combines size, physicality and athleticism. Not only for Jose's pleasure but mine as well since I simply loved prime Maicon. RE rumours which links Ivanovic to Bayern. Wow. You know, the tiki taka philosophy is in the same way about keeping the ball and playing passing game as is about quick, high intensity pressing. Tiki-taka without pressing is dead. Why Pep would even think of buying player who can't press at all ? Why he would think of buying player who can't keep the ball under pressure ? Overall, why he would think of buying player who lacks two principle abilities for a system he plays ?
  16. "Atm this is by far my least favourite player, I'm no fan of Ramires as well but atleast he does something useful most of the times." I'm with you mate. Antithesis of what exciting footballer should be about. Completely devoid of any excitement, this player. Mechanical man without even passion and character, Azpilicueta for example also is mechanical but has passion about him at least.
  17. I'd argue with you but then you come up with "Arsenal" which is biblical here, everyone who has something to say is Arsenal supporter in disguise, then nah, I lost my mood for that. You said that our performance in the second half vs Hull was good ? I leave this here. I enjoy results, don't enjoy performance practically at all. We are good teletext team. There's a big difference how I take fun from watching Chelsea in a game against Burnley in August and all-but-a-few games in 2015, but it's just me.
  18. But they don't say that he should have been playing in a place of Hazard or Diego, right ? They don't want to replace the best players but rather the under performing ones who games are pain to watch. I personally don't think that RLC would help now, simply because he hasn't got a match rhythm for months, he played like one 90 minute game in the last 3 months, nah he would need a streak of games to adjust and get to his level. Though I disagree completely when someone tells that Academy player can't be better player than first team player in general. That's fundamentally wrong. Those players already have their technique and some of them are far more technically accomplished than those in the first team. Some of them are stronger on their feet than the first team players. Some of them are way more creative. Some of them has better link up play. All in all, they are already the players with certain skillset, with their technique, their psychical traits, their creativity and so on. You know, people talk about youths like if they are some kind of wonders but you realise that all of our players in the first team came from their respective Academies, just like our youths ? They weren't brought here from the Moon to play football, they were produced just like our youths are produced. They already had their skillset when they got their chances. Also the process of introducing youth to the level when he isn't considered "potential danger for our title hopes" doesn't have to be long. Zouma looked completely dog shit in the summer, atrocious positioning but got to the level in less than 6 months. You have to challenge players with decent game time, they don't have to play week and week out but feel that chance will be there soon. I'd never give up competitiveness in the name of playing youth, fortunately you don't have to do this to introduce youth if you're doing things properly. Another topic for another day, but even if Mourinho introduce RLC to the first team, there is even a chance that someone follow him up ? I mean someone offensive ? Because RLC will be another scalp who fits the same mould - physically dominant from the early age, necessary 6'2" tall. Mourinho hasn't promoted someone in Fabregas mould yet in his career.
  19. Now we're losing a 2 goal lead ? What the hell. Jose wanted to bring a rain on the team by bringing Zouma on. I was feared that it again backfire. Fortunately, Hull was completely out of gas and they didn't press at the end (they were empty much of the second half it has to be said). On a positive side we played some nice football at the beginning. Tell me, playing like this isn't better than scrappy/rebounds/set piece goals from isolated situation ? It's far better, I enjoy this 10 times more. Result is what now matters, because I know we don't change this side now. I already accept that we will grind out results to the end. And we've got another one and again by scrappy winning goal. Lucky, lucky us. I know how it feels now from both perspectives - when you chase a leader who win in this way and when you're chased by others and you still somehow win.
  20. On the other topic, I agree completely with Jose and other managers that a time on demand is needed. I already wrote that footballers are young, big earning twats with very fragile minds and very sensitive. They can't deal with a situation by themself at all. 2 minute break, manager tells : now we play this, you play here, you close him there and it's fixed. Situation changes and it's necessary to get the point across the team to adjust, not one or two instruction through other players. It can't continue like this. Football has to me modernized and I hope when they finally bring video verification then they also introduce break on demands.
  21. His pure ability to keep the ball under pressure should ensure that he remains with the spot. Even when Hull was on us and pressed badly, he was the only one who was calmed and was able to keep the ball. Fantastic, but the he passed to Cahill/JT and the fun was over. How the hell no one from our defenders can keep the ball under pressure ? We're top level club or what ? In every other big club there are defenders who can keep the ball for a long period but ours hoofs the ball in every occasion and they invite extra pressure. And then they can't deal with that pressure because everyone is shit in one on one too. I hate this. Filipe is a breath of fresh air. He made one glaring mistake, the one that is day-to-day basis to Cahill and Ivanovic. It happens to Azpilicueta too. But we're used to that, aren't we ? Then there were a few positional errors but I don't even want to discuss that. I don't want to cultivate that sick culture of demanding more of youth/squad players than from nailed first XI from Mourinho untouchable troops. I noticed that he was better in the air than normally. When I look on Filipe I don't know how we can waste him here. Pure quality in attack with that technique, intelligent pressing, alongside Hazard he is the best in dealing with pressure on him; he is a sick full-back all in all.
  22. When forum does become a nazi camp ? I don't want to over dwell on result. Everyone knows result so what's the point ? Maybe close adding posts and just put the result table ? I thought we want to share opinions of performance rather than write two liners posts of score. Yes, results are good but I'm not glory-hunter to only be interested in that. I watch football to see passion, to see quality, it's been like that since I was a kid. I see Chelsea week and week out to know that performances are not good, doesn't excite me too much and especially against big teams I'm frustrated badly how toothless we are. Henrique said what I've been thinking - yes, we can win this title, but on the long term we have to rebuild this side. The line between defeat and glory is so thin now, good to have luck and coincidence on our side, hell even yesterday we scored a scrappy winning goal, how we managed to grind out result is remarkable, probably the most remarkable thing in our game now. I remember when I was waiting for shitty United team to drop points and they somehow managed to be on a winning side. It frustrates me as hell and I wished my club would have that luck. And we have that luck and for others fans this have to be nightmare like it was for me. I don't want to complain on that side at all but role can reverse easily. When I look on our fixture list I see so many potential dropping points performance but somehow we got positive at the end. Football is not basketball, volleyball, tennis or handball when you have to play good to win. In football you can win even not playing good and have one or two isolated situations. You can win the Champions League not playing good. That's football, one of a kind sport. But I simply know sooner or later, if that shitty performances are due to continue, we will be found out badly, just like we were against PSG. This title will be nice, but painfully watching us in the last months, it ripped me off of an excitement and I know I'm not the only one (I hope someday you join us ). I want to win this title because we can build on that from far better position, and that's somehow now even more important to me than the title itself.
  23. He was the best left-back in the world last season. He's an elite full-back, surely enough to appreciate that ? But of course you don't see anything special in him. Phew. But why I even bother after reading this Everyone can have his opinion but yours is ridiculous on that matter.
  24. Very much agree with this. Nah, what Chelsea fans ? After the club failed to bring a youth through in the last 17 years (!!!) if someone can't show a little patience in bringing an Academy boy, then he's nothing short of glory-hunter. I'd leave them to be honest. Let's focus on real fans then. Bringing player through has way more dividends than just goals, assists, filling HG quota and saving money for FFP, they're bread and butter of the club, the way to keep an identity, it's a higher cause if you ask me. That's why I'd rather shake my head around some Lewis Baker pass than Oscar or Willian. And please, let's not hyperbole this thing again, we're talking about roughly 800-1000 minutes for ONE youth player in a season when you play over a 5000 minutes, being surrounded by all international players, FFS if you can't find a way to give that time to ONE youth player then you don't try hard enough.
  25. This is Mourinho thread and Mourinho managed like 1/3 of his managerial career in England. He had a problem in bringing youth whenever he has been.
