Insane.. wouldn't be surprised if they signed Modric next. Purely from a competitive perspective, I'd rather see Malaga spend like this, it would be good to see the Madrid/Barca monopoly broken up. Oscar isn't a winger, they are very different players indeed, so it would be impossible for him to be an 'alternative' to Hulk.
-
These are the type of signings we would be making, if we hadn't won the Champions League.

The headline Sky Sports went with: "Roman quit on me", seems rather redundant now, considering what followed under RDM. Roman was right, take it on the chin AVB.. It was 'Andre Naive-Boas', actually. I was the one who christened him.
-
Surely that post was sarcastic? "nicely done, yet again".. ^ Nike have made the worst set of kits i've ever seen this season.
-
The Oriol acquisition and the nature of the transfer was not the 'Chelsea way' anyway, AVB wanted him at Porto. We should never do deals like this again with Barca.

The father of comedian Alan Carr has one of the best reputations in the business. Responsible for Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Santon, Tiote and Cisse. He was apparently watching Cisse 7 years ago, and liked the look of him when was working for Spurs. When you have to pay £38m for the likes of Hulk, it's time to think outside the box. How much do you think this guys worth?, the fact he signed an 8 year extension on his contract only last month, would certainly be a massive stumbling block. Although, we could always 'hold off' for a year, and see how the likes of Oscar and co turn out.

Unfortunately, I can be prone to silly 'superstitions' when it comes to football, so when this thread was initially created I was disgusted, as this guy was jinxing it. So even now, I won't congratulate him for 'believing' or for being a 'true' fan. Because truth be told, myself and most fans had a gut feeling we could do it. "Before the game I had a feeling we would do it tonight, you don't wanna shout it from the rooftops, I don't like to tempt fate" - Lampard
-
Why bump a month old thread then? Smh, you are only giving this idiot and his shitty website even more exposure. Everything has already been said, identical views on the 1st page and the 4th page.

Mancini owes his career to the match fixing scandal in italy, he wouldn't have won shit if it hadn't been for what happened with Milan & Juve.

Two-time UEFA Champions League winners Nottingham Forest have been taken over by mega rich owners.. http://www1.skysport...Forest-takeover Diego Maradona is being lined up as the new manager, according to twitter.

De Bruyne won't play a major role in the upcoming season, Marin was signed as a squad player, so let's not refer to him as if he's going to be the first name on the team sheet. Even under the assumption RDM won’t play with set wingers, we still need natural wide men, and then there’s the argument of physicality, having all these similar small technical players gives us little to no balance/dimension. With the Hulk deal in the balance it's somewhat of a mindfuck, that we're supposedly going to splash out on another number 10.
-
Also, I wasn't referring to euros, merely quoting the daily mail article, in which they claim the fee is £25m (£!).. http://www.dailymail...ernacional.html
-
If you look back at the post.. I was using last season as an example. 'Had' a winger crisis, not 'have', so you've misinterpreted my post.
-
This exact same thing happened last summer, we had a winger crisis, yet signed Lukaku for £18m. Regardless of the 'investment', he was not a necessity, we left our priority signings until the last hours of the window. Oscar isn't a natural winger and he faces stiff competition for the number 10 role. This is £25m that 'should' be going towards the Hulk transfer fee and a right back. Prioritisation..
-
Bumping this post.. BLionheart really hit the nail on the head with this one.
-
This reminds me of the Lukaku deal, expect the transfer fee is even more insane. A truly baffling signing this would be, there is no space in the squad for him. He's an attacking midfielder, he won't play deep, we will leak goals next season, a squad of small fragile players. We desperately need a 'physical presence' to balance out the small technical players further forward, ala Hulk.
-
I'm baffled by this, he's a typical number 10, way down the list of priorities (i.e Right wing, right back). We also have a very small squad now, we desperately need to sign a physical presence like Hulk for the wing, to level things out.
-
Funnily enough.. in the latest video on the official site, Hazard is seen looking rather disinterested in training.. http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2836225,00.html He's the polar opposite to Kalou, Salomon was always very impressive in training.
-
The club would be MAD to allow him to play against us, he's a Chelsea player ffs. If the club doesn’t care about winning the Super Cup, then forfeit the game. Otherwise, we must exploit every possible advantage, which includes not allowing Courtois to play.
-
Great post. In regards to Cavani.. I can see Roman pushing the panic button in january, if Torres fails to deliver and the CL spot is in jeopardy. It won't be the manager this time, as you don't appoint a coach like Guardiola mid-season.
-
Disregarding how successful or unsuccessful AVB's reign there will be, one things for sure I can see Spurs becoming a bogey team, ala Liverpool last season. AVB has proven himself to be bitter, he will prepare for the game like no other.

Well, clearly not. Otherwise his head would be up, on his toes, anticipating the run. Not slowly weeping away with his neck slumped down with both hands on his head in despair. -

Just a little trivial thing I've picked up on, notice Torres in the background for Robben's penalty?, everyone was focused on the net. Drogba, Cole, Mikel, Lamps and co, were fully focused on Cech. Torres had his hands on his head, prematurely walking towards the half way line ready to take the kick-off.
