  1. http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/markovic-coming-back-to-england-as-chelsea-get-dragged-into-serbi Sounds like a done deal to me. Welcome to Chelsea.
  2. Chelsea already have a player like this in their youth ranks: Alex Kiwomya
  3. I saw Falcao is learning English, but only for when he goes on holiday, uh huh
  4. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/378657/Frank-Lampard-closing-in-on-new-Chelsea-deal
  5. Hilarious Torres jokes still funny to this day.
  6. http://www.insidefutbol.com/2013/02/19/i-still-dream-of-pulling-on-chelsea-shirt-and-i-have-time-thorgan-hazard/79678/
  7. That's a lot of wishful thinking given this club's track record with their youth. Don't get me wrong, I want to see Feruz in a few years in the team but what's wrong with having Falcao, Ba and Lukaku? United and City, before shipping Balotelli, have benefitted having multiple strikers at their disposal. Gives you the option of two strikers up front if needed. Lukaku and Falcao up front is a scary sight to opposing defenders.
  8. Let's assume Arsenal finish outside the top four and Wenger leaves on a mutual decision with the board. Would it be crazy to imagine Roman contacting Wenger? Why would Arsene consider it? It's a team in transition moving towards younger players, a youth system stockpiling talent, an owner who craves attractive football, and with no new stadium on the horizon and FFP, transfer spending will have to be done a lot more wisely. After all If BENITEZ can be hired, after the sacking of a fan favorite, anything is possible.
  9. Torres would be a fool to turn down at least being loaned there next season. He's lost fan support at Chelsea and maybe the adoration his old club has for him will reignite his career, even if he scores 25 goals in La Liga I still don't want him back. Courtois will be made part of the deal and I don't mind it. Cech is only 30 and I'd be sick to see him go just to force Courtois into the mix. Chelsea can find the next young goalkeeper years down the road.
  10. Ian Wright complained that David Luiz is a bully and a coward... Here's Ian's rap sheet http://www.thefreelibrary.com/The+life+and+crimes+of+Ian+Wright.-a061124288
  11. Viera and Keane were some of the most booked and are considered legends by their supporters. Dirty by others. Luiz had nothing to apologize about imo. Chelsea have lost that bruising, tough identity, made famous under Mourinho and it's nice to see someone bring it back.
  12. Martinez passed on Liverpool because he doesn't want to work with directors. No problem, Emenalo can coach the ladies.
  13. United was only linked to him last summer and somehow Robert's agent was recently misquoted because of poor translation. Fergie said "why didn't you offer him to us when he was cheaper?" United has never shown interest since. Bayern is the only one with recent interest.
  14. Some will say David needs to tone down the aggression but this is what's been missing at the DM position. This is why many were interested in acquiring an Etienne Capoue, a strong, aggressive tackler to break up opponents' build up and put some fear into them. Barca can fuck off even if they offer 30 million. Why do them any favors?
  15. If PVA continues his good form with Vitesse, and wanting to stay one more season on loan until Cole leaves, in 2014 Luke Shaw will be forgotten about.
  16. I'm grinding my coffee tonight so not to wake the wife with a 4:00 am start time on FSC. I didn't see Rob Stone this morning on air. I hope he was fired for wearing United panties to work.
  17. The club have high expectations of Josh. I certainly do as well. I doubt Josh is in any kind of shell. He's brutally honest about himself and his abilities and knows he's going to have his up and downs but the bottom line is he's actually playing and is a big part of Mowbray's set up at Boro. He's not exactly surrounded with the kind of talent that say Chalobah has at Watford. Josh needs another full season on loan and I think he'd be ok with that. Like others have said he needs work defensively and go for goal a bit more often to round his game.
  18. I thought he would chest that clear cut chance down and fire it but he chose a weak header
  19. I didn't get why Mowbray had Josh deep but along the touch line a lot today. Seemed to be used as support to defend Zaha which was an epic fail but when he advanced up he put in a good cross but no one around to put it in, and forced a good save. Taken off after 60 mins. Going in the opposite direction along with the club compared to Chalobah and Watford.
  20. assist in the 38th min for De Bruyne from a counter attack
  21. The only time I've ever seen Moyes linked to a job was with United to succeed Fergie one day. I don't think he's even on Roman's so called short list. Roman's track record for the most part is hiring managers who just won a trophy or a manager who won in the past, used as a stop gap. Plus I don't hear anyone ever praise Moyes for sexy football or bold tactics either. Add zero trophies to that as well. Yes Everton don't spend massively but he could of left them if there were other suitors and it never happened.
  22. Yeah you're right I was being greedy because I like Eriksen a lot and envisioned him at Chelsea not Oscar at the time.
  23. I understand that but in your opinion would you say Oscar and KDB are better than him though?
  24. Eriksen's dad was just bitter at the time and didn't blame just Chelsea but English clubs as a whole. He made the statement about his son shouldn't join when his son was a teenager, blaming lousy youth policies with bigger clubs. Christian on the other hand said last year, that he knew the big English clubs have a pressure to win every year and only look to buy players. He knew they were not going to throw a 17 year old in straight away. He has never said he won't play for Chelsea. He made the right decision to train and develop at Ajax.
