Will be sold for 10 mill and we will try to buy him a couple of seasons later for 40 mill.
-
Poor Cavani, he fields questions about a club in Chelsea who I believe never tabled a bid for him and the madman owner is looking for press and camera time. Even his parents are trying to get in the news. So sad. I was pissed at first thinking the club was dumb enough to pay that ridiculous fee and be taken advantage of but thankfully cooler heads have prevailed.

Chelsea lacked creativity for years and now Mata has spoiled many to where they now want to go back to a box to box midfielder. If Chelsea beef up the midfield and defense, they will be fine and Mata's lack of mind blowing tackling will be overlooked.
-
FFS are there Liverscum or Red Devils in the mist around here? Taking a dump on mighty mouse Mata? Seriously? Silly season and anti-Chelsea writers and commentators have clouded the judgement of many around here. Can't believe the brainwashed comments on here. If you don't like Mata, that's fine but Torres is a pile of shit and hard to defend, whereas Mata has been magical and to question if the club is better off without him is fucking treason! He's not a defender, they are the weak point of this club ffs.
-
Neymar, Hulk, Falcao and now Cavani. Napoli are the latest club using Chelsea to create a bidding war. In the end it will end in Cavani staying put or doing a "Falcao" chasing the money and not trophies. That 54 million can be invested in central midfield and defense, the real weak link.
-
I hope Romeu joins Marin at Sevilla to help bring Kondogbia. Marin is never coming back and Romeu needs to regain form after injury and Kondogbia is needed more than a striker at this point.
-
You all can argue about how the strikers came up short but what about the defense? It SUCKS! We need an overhaul with the center backs. They are a disaster. No one can say "oh yeah I'm confident with our center backs" bull shit, they are a disaster and this and a central midfielder who won't get run over is the priority, not more attacking midfielders who dink and dunk and pity around while strikers run around with their HEADS cuts off like Barcelona, this isn't La Liga and the club needs to be MORE DIRECT with Lukaku.
-
If Cavani arrives I have to accept it but deep down this is bullshit
-
I won't chill out about this because this is idiotic if Chelsea pay that stupid release clause when it expires August. F Napoli and F Cavani, I don't want him, I want Lukaku spearheading the line dammit. I respect your opinion it just pisses me off because THIS goes back on EVERYTHING Mourinho talked about, about bringing the youth in and respecting FFP and this goes against EVERYTHING! I want to see the Chelsea youth and loanees play this season, not F=ing hired assassins come off the street fake kissing this badge dammit!
-
Romelu Lukaku should hand in a transfer request. Because this is Torres all over again, sucking up all the minutes, making Lukaku an 88th minute sub. I never thought Chelsea would give into the mad man but after his "I'll bust his head in" comments it was only a matter of time. Welcome to Chelsea Cavani, I never thought Chelsea would be STUPID enough to bend over and pay that fucking ridiculous release clause but whatever. I thought Chelsea would give their young beast in Lukaku a chance to destroy EPL defenses but Roman likes to play Football Manager, I think youth WILL still be given a chance just not at striker. Hey it ain't my money I'm just along for the ride.

Well if he's getting promised a lot of first team chances, there's only going to be one defensive midfielder cleaning up in front of the back four. MVG and Oscar are more than capable of holding their own centrally. More so than KDB could who WOULD need two defensive mids.
-
Great move to acquire MVG, and I wish him the best this upcoming season. I think he works best in a 4-3-3 alongside Oscar and Ramires.
-
This presser from Napoli should put this thread to bed finally. Moving on.
-
I like Josh and wanted to see him in the squad but it's looking bleak for him especially if the Van Ginkel deal happens, wether that's followed by a loan or not. Where does Josh even fit in anymore? Certainly not in the attacking midfield where Marin can't even get a sniff, and not in CM where there's Oscar, KDB, Lampard and Ramires. Unfortunately for Josh he hasn't earned the plaudits that Chalobah has and he's slowly fading away from sight. Yes I watched him all season at Boro and Leadbitter was preferred more at CAM and Josh was pushed farther back and even asked to help out the fullbacks which did nothing to put his passing ability on showcase. He's not the flashy type but he would have been a bigger help if Mowbray played him at CAM with his passing range, especially with club in freefall mode in 2013. Being benched at Swansea was kind of understandable at the time but having Leadbitter preferred by Mowbray did him no good.

Chelsea haven't offered Napoli and their mad man owner jack shit. People are reading way too deep into these lazy journalists' articles with no quotes and sources. Napoli don't have to lower their demands to Chelsea, they are not in the same boat as Dortmund and Lewandowski. If Chelsea wanted him they would have stumped up the extra 8 or so million to seal the deal already. Jose already assured Lukaku he will be given the chance to lead the line at Chelsea, something Jose wouldn't bother with if Roman was green lighting a deal for Cavani.
-
That's great news to me, I've been hoping Chelsea sign him and now it has been confirmed.
-
It's very tempting to call in sick for this press conference....
-
Mourinho already said he wants to improve what the club already has and at striker he's got a nightmare for opposing defenders in Lukaku. Don't need Cavani.
-
I would have exchanged him for Gundogan while the iron was still hot but that's just me. Unless he can do better than 95 chances created from Mata, he should be ok with playing on the right of midfield and filling in when Mata or Hazard need a break.
-
I think this all boils down to Napoli desperate to cash in and begging Chelsea, a club always linked publicly to massive transfers. If the price was getting knocked down considerably then City or Real Madrid would be jumping in on this. At best Chelsea might have offered Torres as part exchange but since Napoli just wants cash, this deal won't happen. I doubt Lukaku would agree to return if he knew Cavani was likely coming.
-
He's staying put unless a loser like Arsenal overspend for him and get Giroud 2.0.
-
De Rossi and all of the successful loanees should return such as Courtois, de Bruyne and Lukaku. The others need one more season, as it is I'd shitcan over half of them. This is about improving what is already within the club and if need be get someone in January but for now let's see how much they matured after their inaugural season like Hazard and Oscar.
-
23 million for a striker who scored just one more goal than Juan Mata? no fucking thanks
-
Bit annoyed when young players like KDB, have one good loan spell, then they and their agents are talking to the media about how they are "concerned" if the club or the new manager even wants them back. Or that they don't want to come back yet because they are more concerned about losing their WC spot if they aren't being assured a first team place.
