  1. I'm more concerned about the set piece defending and who can snuff out Aaron Ramsey. I'd go more defensive in this one with David Luiz alongside Mikel in the pivot, Schurrle, Oscar and Ramires, then insert your choice of any failure of a striker up top.
  2. 6 goals conceded vs Stoke and Sunderland and David Luiz never set foot on the pitch. Cahill actually represents England and not J.T.?
  3. Lukaku would have had his chances and they would have come more often than most think if he stayed, based on the utter dog crap on offer, but Mou hinted already the kid chose to bounce on the club for the season rather than prove himself. He values a spot in the World Cup squad over Chelsea at the moment so move on, it is what it is.
  4. Even if Emenalo was at the match, he was busy scouting on Football Manager looking at 17 year old attacking midfielders.
  5. When I saw the disgust on Jose's face over the failed chip to Torres, I knew Mata will be back on the bench next match. Juan just can't win with the manager.
  6. I give up on the kid making any starts until the January window opens. Essien and Lampard are above him in the pecking order and Jose already said he's not pinning faith on youth this season as the pressure is too great. Total bullshit because Kevin would only improve the attack not hurt it anymore than having the other two in the lineup. Get this kid a loan in the EPL to Crystal Palace, Cardiff or Fulham.
  7. I'd like to see Cech, Azpi, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Mikel, DeBruyne, Oscar, Hazard, Mata & Torres ( 4-3-3 ) Schurrle and Willian impact subs.
  8. After seeing his interview with the BBC about wanting to return to Everton next season on loan or permanently should they make the top 4 is sickening. He would still have a roster spot with Belgium for the WC just like DeBruyne despite Kevin's lack of club appearances. But he wanted to be "the man" imo and refused to compete and fight for his place. He's still got a lot of work to do in his all round game, despite all the praise for his goals, he makes a lot of mistakes. The loan was the right move but to talk about moving to Everton again next season should they make the top 4 pisses me off.
  9. A pivot player who can make a tackle and deliver a 20 yard pass? David Luiz is a no brainer for me.
  10. Roma player for life, like Totti. Never gonna happen.
  11. I say let Jose's mouth do the talking. He wants to bring up the youth as a "lasting legacy"? Let Lukaku return minus any other January purchases at forward and bring back all the successful loanees because despite many doing well on loan none are being integrated into the first team plans. You either buy and chase titles or maybe take a step back and let the fruit come to fruition.
  12. Azpi has been brilliant. Iva is a fucking joke at RB, he can't cross for fuck all sake and should be second choice at RB for Azpi. Dave being second choice at RB for Iva has to come up second to Lukaku being loaned out. Jeez
  13. So many Shalke players crocked for this one, hopefully Jose field a strong team because you never want to face a wounded dog who's cornered.
  14. It'd be nice to see a forward score a goal or two to momentarily get some of the egg off Jose's face for letting Lukaku go.
  15. All the great defensive midfielders seem unattainable. There's a decent one already in place in Mikel.
  16. Yilmaz has a high scoring rate yet I feel like he will come up empty like everyone else has lately. Eh, I'd rather ride this season out with the current decoys until Lukaku returns but I have a feeling Chelsea pull off the transfer of Rooney come January.
  17. I'd say drop Oscar deep into Lampard's role next season and let him and Mata alternate as a #10 when the other needs a break, while Van Ginkel grows as a player subbing in and relieving Oscar at times next season. Of course there's the chance Mata could force a transfer in January and lessen the traffic jam in midfield. Whoever masterminded acquiring both Oscar and Mata should have their head examined. Neither one of them work out on the right to make the "mazacar" experiment work, it just weakens them defensively and becomes too narrow in attack and easy for opponents to defend.
  18. And yes, yet another midfielder, but can play both sides as well as forward, according to various scouting reports, which might be where Chelsea are looking at in the future with him.
  19. Chelsea back in for Ocampos? AVB was reportedly interested in him way back when. If Emenalo is opening talks again with Ocampos' rep and Monaco, this would seem like a likely suitor for Mata, seeing how he can link up with Falcao and most of the other big clubs outside the PL don't need Mata. Exciting player but early days and it could be tabloid fluff. http://www.sportsvibe.co.uk/news/football/reports-chelsea-plan-lucas-ocampos-bid-28228/?
  20. Jose is a having a laugh, he knows no matter how brilliant Juan looks vs Swindon, nothing changes. It's Swindon! Not United. Oscar is great and will only get better but this is plain fucking insulting. It's like Lampard being left out of the squad for Van Ginkel. Fans say it's early days and there's plenty of matches all season, true, but Mata isn't a Jose Mourinho type winger. Maybe an AVB type winger, but he can't cope with pressing and tracking back, it's futile at this point. Mata was kept this season by Jose as experienced cover and Capitol One Cup games. Pretty much what Essien is around for.
  21. I like this lineup, should get not only a clean sheet but a few goals if Schurrle has his shooting boots on this go around.
  22. If playing in the World Cup for Spain is important to Juan, then wouldn't it make sense that he put in the work and press opponents the way Hazard and Oscar do? Jose's asking Mata to put in the same work ethic others are and what's wrong with that? 2-time Chelsea player of the year, but none of that means shit to Jose, you have to earn it in his team. Just ask KDB who's a regular in Belgium's NT, it don't mean shit if you don't put in the hard work on the training ground and matches. Oscar has earned his place thus far and Mata can either fight or start asking his Dad to pay visits to other club's luxury boxes in January.
  23. Odd statements from Jose in regards to Juan. I never came away from the losses blaming Mata. And yet he had nothing to say about David Luiz?
  24. Josh can be a potentially great deep lying playmaker in my eyes, but he needs at least two more seasons on loan and put the first team ambitions out of his mind and just focus on taking his game to the next level. I hope he excels like Nat did.
  25. Dear God: Tell Jose in his sleep to go back to the 4-3-3 formation, please?
