  1. Baines was sitting back and a non threat while Schurrle was on the pitch, once Jose screwed up and took him off, Baines was bombing forward and causing problems. His movement also allowed Hazard to not get triple teamed and to move into open space. That lineup worked and just needed more time.
  2. I felt Everton were shaky at the back at times, even Howard, but Mourinho made the wrong substitutions which narrowed the attack and played right into Everton's hands. They lost shape and composure. I wouldn't have made any substitutions until very late because I felt a goal was coming eventually.
  3. Mourinho's blunt statement to a Belgian reporter, sayin "hey glad he's doing great in your national squad, but he's currently not good enough for my squad", is something that can be applied to the squad as a whole, if you're good enough you play. Nothing wrong in that. Do I think he can outshine any of Mata, Hazard, Willian or Schurrle? Nope. Had they loaned out Moses and not signed Willian maybe but I don't see him being with Chelsea in the summer. Perhaps another loan is on the card but I can't blame him if he hands in a transfer request. Not trollin' I just don't see him knocking out the others for consistent matches.
  4. If I had to guess Jose was referring to Luke Shaw. The club has been tracking him and I'm sure United will create a bidding war for him in the summer. He's not much older than Cuevas though who's also capable of playing left back but I have no idea what Vitesse will do with him, whereas Shaw is currently plying his trade in the PL already.
  5. I could see Schurrle opposing Baines, with his work rate to muzzle him, DeBruyne on the left hand side. Could be a decent opportunity to start Van Ginkel over Lampard with CL coming up. If Oscar or DeBruyne starts in the 10 spot, I can only assume Mata is deemed Capitol One Cup status with Mourinho at this point. Might actually be a free flowing entertaining match hopefully.
  6. Strange Mourinho would be after either one of these players. The club didn't deem Matic worthy and as for Markovic and a third party owner, isn't Willian connected to that creep Joorabchian? I could be wrong. The club could have had either one really but let em drift away. Must be someone else Mourinho is observing? Markovic is nice but someone who could fill a RW spot with some work is Todd Kane who sets up goals nicely and has pace to boot. On top of that he's a RB so he can defend as well. That's just me.
  7. Obviously this recent interview with Juan won't get recycled in the multiple publications the way so called "Mourinho's favorite" Oscar's interviews were. This only throws egg on the faces of those who suggested he tried a last ditch attempt to sign with PSG and Arsenal. People say this midfield is overloaded but it's perfect. No more worrying about someone running on near empty towards the end of the season when there's many fresh legs to compete on all fronts. If this isn't an ideal situation for one of them, they can go. I had my doubts during the window about Juan staying but I'm glad it never materialized.
  8. Mourinho turned a so called glorified friendly into what seemed like a Champions League Final. The fire and pride was in full effect, coach, players and traveling supporters. He brought back the passion that was drained out completely by Rafa's short spell. It's going to be a wild season no doubt.
  9. Having said that Mourinho should give him a starting spot next match and try to get him past it, not many options at striker at this point

  11. The next Drogba? Looked more like he channeled the next ANELKA with that lazy effort!!!!
  12. I don't get the complaints. I thought everyone trusted Mourinho? Was the midfield good enough going forward without him? I don't think so personally. Mourinho said his intent was to destroy opponents this season and signing Willian proves just that. Who gets sold or loaned out is interesting because Mourinho said Mata is a player he likes but no one saw the Willian deal coming so who's to say Jose gets an offer he can't resist? First it was just Rooney, then there was a plan B or C and now he's getting someone totally out of left field.
  13. like I said it's preseason but this team is unorganized, not the "end of the world" but no change so far against non asian teams. I was disappointed in this squad. It's one thing to run up the score against Asia but against Real Madrid and Roma they looked average. Don't agree? Maybe you're expecting magic when the season starts I guess. Bottom line this squad has to come out the gates on all cylinders. Man City is no joke. Maybe Mourinho tried to calm expectations by calling himself the happy one, but there is little room for error this season. I'd expect to see crisper football than this.
  14. United are idiots to allow Chelsea to improve with their striker, it's never going to happen. It's one thing to get RVP from a club that's only interested in stealing money from morons who buy into the "we will spend this offseason" bs, but to allow Chelsea to overtake them with their striker? Yeah F-ing right. Mourinho is merely trying to disrupt the club and he's succeeding thus far. Rooney fell for it hook line and sinker and now he's going to get the Malouda treatment. There's no other striker coming through the door so get the f over it. This is Roman wanting to get the best out of what they got at FFP restriction level. Deal with it. Lkaku will shine and you'll regret wanting that cigarette smoking bastard in our club.
  15. Preseason? yes. That said it looks like the same old bs...no pressure from the defensive midfielders, no build up that led to scoring chances for the strikers. Are you optimistic? This club needed a midfield destroyer and they flopped at it thus far chasing around Shrek instead. Mikel is a mess, Essien is playing not to get hurt. Ramires is too small. This club is in trouble if they don't address DM with a destroyer.
  16. Great job Jose, screwing over the club with mind games, now the players are frustrated. Moyes is in over his head at that club and won't last two seasons. I don't want that chia pet experiment in blue regardless anyways.
  17. Just seen the news what a great signing. Welcome to CFC Mark, one year deal then Courtois takes over.
  18. If you want the best players possible here that's fine, I'm in the minority that you occasionally like to dabble in out of boredom called the Chelsea youth and give them a real shot to see what they are made of. I've seen this club win pretty much everything there is to win and I'm spoiled compared to other club' fans but personally ok with taking a season off trophy less to give Chalobah, Lukaku, KDB and maybe a Omeruo a chance to grow into impactful players for this club instead of the owner pissing away another 40 million to the next slut out there.
  19. It's not a personality contest, he actually BIT into an opposing player, what don't you get about that or are you in that "plastic fan" category? I'm from the U.S. and I can be called plastic because I fell in love with this club AFTER Roman bought them and I have to live that but the club crest is tattooed on my chest and has been for 4 years. Sorry if I didn't get access to Engalnd's top division growing up but we've been kinda inundated with basketball, football and baseball so I arrived at the party late. What I don't want is sluts like Suarez here fucking up the dressing room because he ate David Luiz' cheese when he wasn't looking or took Fernado's cut off locks to make a fucking nest to sleep on.
  20. Suarez escaped off the island of Dr. Moreau
  21. DeRossi would be a great buy but now that I think of it Chalobah is a player who should be thrown into the deep end or he never learns. There's only so much you can learn in training from De Rossi but eventually rotting on the bench hurts him so I'd pass as much as I like De Rossi. You won't know what Chalobah can offer if he isn't given a REAL chance, not this Capitol One cup bullshit, let him play vs Sunderland and Villa, give him 20 appearances minimum. It benefits the national team in the end, so many of their young players play in lower leagues and little experience in major competitions and it hurts them on that side in the long run.
  22. PSG's owner has Platini's son working for a seperate gig for them along with owning the TV coverage there. The owners are no dummies. If there were any real journalists out there they could dig up all sorts of dirt on them and Fifa but he might end up dead and missing.
  23. Fuck this rat face and Shrek btw, none of this is gonna happen, just silly season speculation. This guy is a head case ffs he BIT Iva and yet some would welcome this idiot into the club? Is this how f-ing desperate some have become with "oh Mourinho will fix him" yeah right he is a certified loon and should stay at Liverscum where he can continue to embarrass them with is great reality TV for me. You have a potential legend right under your noses in Lukaku and yet you hop along all the made up stories by bored so called journalists. I never want Chelsea to do business with any Liverpool striker for the next milennium or so after that debacle with Torres. IMO this is just a season of evaluation for Mourinho to improve what's there along with some good cheap additions like MVG and if major improvements are needed he will do so in January or next season.
  24. I wouldn't be concerned about Chalobah, I think he's the future defensive mid of the team, MVG is a great signing and imo keeps Lampard glued to the bench a majority of the season. There's room for Chalobah and RLC to make an impact eventually because of FFP. They HAVE to start bleeding Chelsea youth into the first team they have no choice but to.
