  1. I thought Fermin was like 70 million, Simons was supposed to be 60-65 million. Would hate to see Simons at Spurs, he's waited for our offer for most of the summer.
  2. I doubt Roma would pay anywhere near Sancho's current wages, maybe he's not keen on taking a paycut to leave United (similar to Sterling at Chelsea).
  3. it still may not be enough according to UEFA Looks like Nkunku or Jackson would have to be permanent sale to balance books for champions league registration
  4. I'm surprised George isn't part of the proposed Simons deal Would hate to see Simons end up at Spurs of all clubs
  5. With Santos coming back this season, I don't see any space for Mainoo.....although he is a big talent and hope he gets a chance to develop elsewhere for England's national team 😄
  6. Dortmund fans were suprised that they got 50 million for him, they were saying he's a decent player but nothing more than 25-30 million. Even Arsenal backed away from the deal when they heard Dortmund's asking price, they were keen on him around the 25 million mark as a Trossard replacement. Yea let's just erase what those 3 did for the club last season and start comparing to a pacey kid we just signed for 50 million and now he's likely to be a bench/rotation player in our attack. There's a reason why the club are keen on getting the Garnacho/Simons deals over the line and its because they know Gittens isn't anywhere ready to play week in week out.
  7. I get the feeling we may be stuck with Nkunku as there's little interest in a permanent transfer. As for Jackson, its either Villa (on loan...as they can't afford permanent deal) or maybe Newcastle.
  8. This is laughable, we signed Gittens for 50+ million, he's not some 'project' player that was signed for 15-20 million. As I said at the time Dortmund must be happy to have offloaded him for that sort of price tag. People forget that Arsenal did scouting on Gittens as well but when they realised Dortmund wanted 50+ million, they switched to Madueke and Eze.
  9. I'm honestly surprised that Spurs weren't in for him, they seem to be splashing the cash on young talent!
  10. There's no sell on clause as he didn't have a professional contract with Chelsea https://www.hampshirelive.news/sport/football/football-news/tyler-dibling-southampton-Chelsea-deal-7597039
  11. Both him & Josh are valuable as they meet the homegrown and club-trained criteria for UEFA competitions So with Quenda coming next year, this would be our attacking options: Neto, Gittens, Pedro, Palmer, Estevao, Delap, Quenda, Garnacho*, Simons* That's too many players for 3-4 spots on the pitch 😄
  12. maybe not but that was the type of horrible performance that gets you dropped from the team for a few games. Even the one where he came flying out the box vs Kudus, on another day, thats a sending off 😄 It was the perfect setup from the Tottenham manager though. Press the opposition, get in their face, keep it simple. Palhinha is a very good pickup for them as he was pretty solid for Fulham back in the day. City had no energy for most of the game till Pep finally threw on Silva, Doku and Foden.
  13. Seems like perfect timing for Eze to come in 😆
  14. We could always sell him with a buy back option (in case he does go and smash it at Roma)
  15. Imagine if that did happen and we had to leave out all the new attacking signings. The quality of the UCL squad would be laughable.
  16. Hopefully our attackers show up and put the pressure on their defense, we need the 3 points to start the season well
  17. Bayern Munich again? They weren't keen on the Nkunku permanent deal and now they want Jackson, probably another cheap loan as depth for Kane.
  18. I'm not a fan of seeing Spurs potentially getting Rogers and us end up with Garnacho and Gittens.
  19. Pretty sure Spurs needed a #10 after their first choice went down with a bad injury just before the season started. Arsenal have a solid squad now, no more excuses for Arteta to not win the league this season.
  20. Looks like contract was due to finish with Brighton in June 2026. Will be interesting to see how the loan works with Strasbourg as we've already loaned them Penders and Paez.
  21. I just don't see how we balance the books for UEFA with Simons & Garnacho, that's like 100 million There would have to be solid sales (Veiga, Nkunku). Jackson going on a loan with obligation to buy doesn't really help as we would only get loan fee this season, and the sale profit next season.
  22. So we haven't made an official offer but the deal is supposed to be completed? Put it this way, if Nkunku doesn't get sold, there's no Simons at Chelsea.
  23. Thats what happens when you sign like 40 players and the first team squad is supposed to be 25. What I don't like seeing is players being forced out like Chilwell, Veiga. Veiga could have played at CB for us this season as a squad player but thats not going to happen and he just adds onto the list of players the club is trying to sell.
  24. Wonder if that is part of the reason why the club refuse to sign a CB. Guessing the directors were hoping for Disasi + Veiga to be sold by now.
  25. Thats why the Nkunku to Leipzig deal actually made sense but then Nkunku's agent rejected it as he wants to play UCL football
