It will be a massive step backwards for our club if we end up splashing on Ekitike, hopefully he prefers Liverpool.

Would be a shame not to see him play for us at least once, particularly with Lavia's constant injury issues.

There's no way we're bringing that Brazilian wonderkid, that young Portuguese winger from Sporting and then keeping both Madueke and Sancho (assuming we make the loan permanent for 25 million). If there's a decent bid on Madueke that gets us a solid profit, I see the club selling.

I'd be shocked if Gyokeres chose us over Arsenal.

Just for comparisons, Hugo's teammate who went to City in January (Marmoush) had an xG of about 8.8 and ended up scoring 13 non-penalty goals. The last thing we need is two project strikers up front battling each other for first team minutes in Hugo & Nico. If we're really going down the young striker route, then get Delap, at least he's had a season to settle into PL football and managed to get to 10 non penalty goals in a pretty average Ipswich side.

I'd want a better partner for Colwill if that's going to be our long term CB partnership. Branthwaite is good on his day but nothing special, even United laughed off Everton's attempts of trying to sell him for around 75 million last summer. Talent wise Fofana is well ahead of Branthwaite, just a shame that he is made of glass.

Would take Sesko/Gyokeres over both Delap and the French kid Just saw on goal.com that Arsenal have apparently submitted a bid for the Sporting striker Gyokeres.

I think that was expected, especially when everyone realised that Rodri would be out for the whole season. Then they had Stones play like 10 games and even Walker left mid way through the season. You take out first choice top class midfielder and first choice CB from any PL side and they would look way worse.

I think they'll be fine next year, the signings they are getting will only help strengthen their first XI and squad depth.

United confirmed the Cunha signing Hopefully Maresca's links to City helps us get the Delap signing over the line.

Noni won't stay as backup, pretty sure there were times this season where he didn't start and the rumors began. As for RB, unless James is fit to play 25 games a season, thats a massive risk for next season. Maybe Josh takes the next step in his development and that helps strengthen our choices at RB.

So they could have: Frimpong, Wirtz, Kerkez and a decent striker up top (and also offload Nunez in the process).

I don't think the Pedro links are dead, you have to remember that we have the old Brighton boys running the show on transfers 😆

Noni will likely be sold for a decent transfer fee to help 'balance the books' (especially if we don't get UCL revenue next season).

To be fair, it's not just him though, if the owners actually had ambition for the club, they'd sell off a number of players in the next transfer window.

That's the real problem with the whole first XI setup. We have 3 guaranteed starting quality players and I'm not sure if they've played 15+ games each this season (James + Lavia + Fofana).
