  1. Roman had Oscar, Ramires and Willian They make up for some of those 'dodgy' signings 😆
  2. This isn't surprising, why would Bayern agree to such a high obligation fee without favourable terms.
  3. You realise that if we sell Tosin and/or Chalobah, we would have to replace them with locally trained players to have a full champions league squad I just hope we don't rush Colwill back, let him recover properly as he'll be key for our defensive lineup.
  4. So if we signed Simons, we would have been over the cap? 😄
  5. This actually makes alot more sense as to why we didn't proceed with the Simons deal, maybe we didn't have a free spot for him 😆 Much easier to tell a player who came for a cheap depth loan "hey you didn't make the UCL squad, focus on PL & Cup"
  6. Wonder if it's anything to do with the List A, List B requirements. You only get 25 players if you have 8 locally trained players and from what I can see, we only have 6....does Garnacho count as association trained? Sanchez, Jorgensen, Cucurella, Tosin, Badiashile, Colwill, Hato, Chalobah, James, Gusto, Fofana, Fernandez, Palmer, Gittens, Essugo, Santos, Caicedo, Neto, Delap, Joao Pedro, Guiu, Estevao, Garnacho. I'm guessing we only have 6 locally trained players and that leaves the remaining 17 as non-local.
  7. Thats what I thought because there was a post on reddit where they said Nkunku's sale helped cover the Garnacho transfer but we would be hit by UEFA if the Simons deal went through. Thats why we were trying to offer Nkunku or even George as part of the Simons deal but Nkunku wasn't interested
  8. Feel like he'll get game time because we don't have that many players who can play through the middle. Its pretty much Palmer/Pedro/Santos and with Delap's absence, it opens up a chance for the young Argentinian kid to fight for a spot. Liked the look of him at Leicester, has the passing ability, decent shot on him as well
  9. If that was true, they wouldn't have gone after Maignan. The problem with getting a new GK is that you have to sell your current GK's....and I don't see many clubs lining up to pay decent fees for Sanchez or Jorgensen. Just look at City, they only got Donnarumma after letting Ederson go.
  10. Guessing there will be a mutual termination next season between the club and Sterling. Maybe something like Lukaku who agreed to lower his demands to get a permanent move to Italy.
  11. I wouldn't say we struggled against Fulham, they came with energy and gave it a go with King + Muniz up top. Considering no Palmer and no real target up front with Delap going off very early and George being sent on as a runner, thought we did alright. Our next 6 games will tell us whether we'll be fighting for top 4 or not. Hopefully Palmer is back and Garnacho is up and running on the wings. Brentford away, United away, Brighton home, Liverpool home, Forest away and then Spurs away (november).
  12. Until Garnacho actually plays for us, we won't know if he's better than Noni. Noni was more than serviceable on the wing, a bit frustrating at times but we'll never forget that game where he decided to rip Wolves apart. 😆 Zubimendi is a class midfielder Arteta shouldn't have any excuses this season, expecting them to push Liverpool all the way for the title this season, he's got GK + defense + midfield all sorted and even managed to splash the cash on Eze and Viktor.
  13. Hurts to see the defensive options we have now....I still remember back in the day when we had Cech, JT, Carvalho and A.Cole
  14. He'll get minutes up front with no Delap, Maresca likes to use him as a mad man runner.
  15. Don't worry, we have a highly experienced English winger who is capable of playing on the wings or as a false 9, I hear he's still on the books for 300k a week
  16. UEFA restrictions in play, Nkunku was only enough to cover Garnacho's fee. Simons would have happened if Jackson was permanent sale.
  17. Who is actually available as a striker? Kolo Muani? That Russian striker at Roma?
  18. Someone joked on reddit that Liverpool invested the Coutinho money into crypto currency and they made huge profits 😆
  19. Don't forget Kerkez for 40+ million, Leoni 30+ million and likely Guehi for 35 + addons.
  20. Then Strasbourg would have to find a replacement striker, not ideal
  21. Maybe West ham doesn't have a choice, they've clearly invested in younger midfielders and they let Kudus go, so its only natural that Paqueta would be keen for a fresh start elsewhere.
  22. Thats a bit harsh Joao Pedro was good, Estevao was good on the wing, Caicedo held the midfield even though he only had 1 training session during the week. Losing Colwill to injury is showing though, feel like we need that type of player in defense.
  23. Anyone know if Lavia is actually fit? Maybe Essugo gets minutes
  24. I guess for Bayern it doesn't really matter, they just got a decent rotation option for their attack for 15 million. They were after Nkunku but didn't want to pay 35 million for him.
  25. Wow. That is a crazy loan fee for 1 season. I was still expecting a late loan offer from Aston Villa so that he could be reunited with Emery.
