  1. I'm really interested to see how this Jackson/Delap scenario works out as both of them will want to be the #1 striking option and we don't really play with a front 2.
  2. Shooting is not a "1%er". You either have natural finishing ability or it takes a number of seasons to get better at it. Jackson has upside to his game but would he be starting for our top 4 rivals?
  3. 25 for Disasi? Who's paying that sort of fee? Also Nkunku is only linked to Bayern Munich and they haven't bid yet. 😆
  4. Surely the club would be talking to Benfica about Silva as part of the Felix deal?
  5. In terms of clubs competing with us for a UCL place...City/Livo/Arsenal don't need him, Newcastle have Isak, Villa may want him if Watkins gets sold for a big fee.
  6. https://www.goal.com/en-au/lists/benfica-ready-bid-to-buy-half-of-joao-felix-as-portuguese-attacker-agrees-to-take-pay-cut-to-return-to-former-team/blt2542117c13c676a2#cs791237fcec25ef89 So apparently Benfica will pay for 50% of Felix's rights? How do transfers work in Portugal, seems different to England.
  7. George played LW & RW when called upon last season but I'd be surprised if he isn't loaned out to the Championship to gain some experience. I get the feeling that we'll go for Garnacho later in the window OR If Nkunku doesn't get sold for whatever reason (Bayern Munich haven't bid for him yet), he probably sticks around and plays the squad role.
  8. Wow, so how much more do we need to make to satisfy the UEFA requirements?
  9. Ahead of Neto? Maybe in the early part of the season but compare their performances from say March onwards (the business end of the season). Madueke - 1 assist Neto - 3 goals, 3 assists. For all the talk about Madueke, take away that hat-trick vs Wolves and his stats aren't amazing.
  10. We went a bit crazy with some of the transfer fees....makes sense that UEFA would try to use Chelsea as an example. Looks like Roma had similar issues in the past, a detailed forum about that can be found here (apologies to the moderators if Reddit links aren't allowed):
  11. He probably is, but you just never know with Reece, pulled out of the previous game last minute, then got subbed on against Fluminese for like 25 minutes. Ideally, he would start, then get a rest in the 2nd half with Gusto coming on.
  12. Wait, so Bournemouth rejected a 5 million clause to keep Kepa, only to go and sign Petrovic? This is a shame, Dyer is a proper midfield talent. I just hope he doesn't walk to another PL club like Liverpool.
  13. We're going to get blown off the park. If only Reece and Lavia were fit 😄
  14. Half of those players were like unknown. Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Ramires, Willian, Oscar, Alex were all solid during their time here. Hopefully Estavao & Pedro join that list in the next few seasons. Santos also looks a talent but whether he'll be happy with backup minutes....
  15. I was sort of hoping that Forest would play hardball over Elanga and then Newcastle may join the bidding for Noni. Noni would be in the same situation as alot of our players, moving to other clubs would be a step down, even though it would be a good fit for them. I wouldn't be surprised if Noni's transfer fee (assuming Arsenal agree a fee for him) sort of sets the standard for Garnacho's asking price
  16. Not that I'm a fan of Garnacho, but the only way he gets out of United is if they lower their asking price. Napoli's gone for Noa Lang, so that's 1 less option for Garnacho.
  17. Based on the Champions League registration, we need to make 60 million in sales. Guessing Madueke/Petrovic/Carney/maybe KDH sales would help reach that figure.
  18. There's no way Arsenal would allow him to leave, especially not to us.
  19. Good luck getting 15 for Sterling, 30 for Felix, 20 for Disaster and 25 for Ugo. The only hope with those players is another round of loan deals (with decent loan fee).
  20. Steinberg (typically reports on West Ham transfers) just posted that WHU rejected Spurs bid as they are expecting a bigger offer for Kudus from Chelsea... Tweet
  21. When Palmer was signed, don't think anyone expected him to score 20 goals in a season, rival fans were laughing at us spending 40 million on a City reserve attacker. Not saying the Brazilian kid is going to turn into Palmer but he's got natural skill on the ball that you just can't teach. The hard part for him will be adapting to the physicality of the Premier League and those dirty fouls (similar to how Hazard had to adapt to the defenders kicking the sh*t out of him).
  22. Well....speaking of Sterling, there was rumors of Fulham potentially being interested in a loan for him (probably with us paying most of the wages). Whoever gave him that contract till 2027 should be investigated 😆
  23. I get that, but Gallagher could have been sold to an English club for 35+ million (there was some decent interest in his services, Villa were very keen at the time). Same with the Maatsen deal, we buy this Villa youngster and he's yet to play a proper game for Chelsea.....all the while we don't have a backup LWB in the first team....
  24. And there's no real interest in Felix....what was the point of that 'swap' deal with Atletico?
  25. The original deal was meant to be Nkunku going to United and Garnacho to us. I don't see how we keep signing attackers when we still have Nkunku's wages on the books, not to mention the likes of Carney and Sterling haven't even been sold yet.
