Yeh because Atletico went and signed another defender. Madueke/Petrovic sales help but if we're going to spend 70 + 40 to 45 for Simons & Hato, we will definitely need alot more in sales.

I just went through the UEFA Settlement agreement doc and it doesn't mention 70 million anywhere. It says we have to have a positive transfer balance in order to register all new players in List A for the Champions League. Guessing that's the same reason why Liverpool/Newcastle and other clubs are keen on getting Guehi, the one with 20+ caps for England. For all the talk about Trev, he's nothing more than a useful squad player, same with Tosin. Those are the guys you want as your 3rd choice CB to fill in as required. PL attackers would be delighted if we didn't upgrade at CB.

Quenda is an interesting one as he played about 60% on the right and 40% on the left for Sporting last season. I like the idea of Quenda/Neto swapping wings, Estevao can play right and drift into the middle as required once he adjusts to PL pace/intensity.

The fact that Mbeumo said I want United and they took that long to finalise the deal....😆 Newcastle must be pissed off, they lost their 2 striker targets to PL rivals and Isak is being linked to a massive move away.

I don't mind the Simons link but even with good attacking depth, we aren't challenging for top 3 this season without a good CB. For me, Colwill - Chalobah/Tosin/Badi is nowhere near enough to scare the big PL teams.

Jackson really fell off in the polling, he went from being our only striker last season to getting only 4% of the votes 😄

I don't recall Veiga playing at CB other than those early conference league games where half the squad was rotated. He was primarily used as backup LB and DM as required. I think he was more frustrated at not being given any chances at CB...

If United are involved at all, I have a bad feeling that Garnacho will be tied to the deal somehow 😁
