I just don't see City taking a step back...they've made two quality signings (in key positions) already and they've all but signed Benatia. I can see us winning the title IF we manage to break-down mid-table clubs this time!
Totally agree, I think this season would be a perfect opportunity to see a youngster like Chalobah or Van Ginkel make the step-up to the first team I really like Van Ginkel's skill-set, looks like the type of player that could add something different to our experienced trio in Matic, Fabregas and Ramires..

The Garay deal is said to be worth about €15m (£12m) - Telegraph Benfica will only receive 6 million euros as they own 40% of his rights. Real Madrid get 50% and third-party gets 10%
If Oscar develops properly and adds some muscle, he could easily be our #8 for years to come... As for James Rodriguez, he's the perfect #10. Dribbling ability, technically gifted, vision, flair, a natural playmaker
I was about to make a similar post about Oscar. Oscar is more of a lightweight #8 (central midfielder) than a true #10 (attacking midfielder) I think based on Oscar's best attribute, maybe we'll see him play more of a CM role this season in a 4-3-3? (with Fabregas as the more 'advanced' mid)
It doesn't matter how hard FIFA punish Suarez, the guy has serious mental issues. And anyway...if he's banned for Uruguay, it just means he'll be available for the Scum without any disruptions...
I've seen both Belgium games and Lukaku looks disinterested half the time. The kid has talent, no question about it...but without hard work and competition, he won't live up to his potential I'm one of Lukaku's biggest supporters but I can understand why Mourinho may choose to sell him in this transfer window...
Solid HG squad player, kind of like Ryan Bertrand, when called upon...generally puts in a 6/10 performance Everton seems like a good destination, as Roberto Martinez should know how to get the best out of him
I just hope Diego Costa has a positive impact on our team (assuming the deal is pretty much done) I've been critical of Diego Costa in my previous posts...but considering the other realistic options are Balotelli and Mandzukic, signing Diego Costa seems like the best option. Physical player, good header of the ball, solid finisher, has that edge in his game As for the World Cup...I don't know the full back story but Diego Costa never seemed like the right fit into Spain's style....he would of been a nice plan B for Brazil's NT
Provided that we sign a quality LB, our defence won't be that far behind Atletico's! E.g. Azpi - JT - GC - Luis is quite similar to: Juanfran - Miranda - Godin - Luis
We could just recall Atsu from Vitesse, rather than buying this kid Atsu has been a bright spark for Ghana in the World cup, both against USA and Germany..
