To be honest, the spurs signings looked worse because neither AvB nor Sherwood knew what they were doing With Pochettino, it'll be interesting to see how Spurs progress this season...from what i've heard, he gets that little bit extra out of decent players
-
They also have Micah Richards and Boyata (belgian CB) as homegrown players.. Thats 7 HG players
-
To be fair, Rodwell's injuries at Everton ruined his career. He lost confidence and lacked consistency...which resulted in Moyes selling Rodwell to City. Moyes felt a fresh start for both parties was a good decision How different would things be if Everton accepted United's 20 million bid for Rodwell in mid-2010
-
If Loftus-Cheek and Baker keep progressing at a rapid level, Chalobah may not even get a look-in at Chelsea
-
Totally agree. He can just come on after 70 minutes and let Costa take a break from leading the line
-
Lampard joining a rival (well title-contending rival) is a shock because we're so used to seeing the dependable Frank Lampard on the pitch or on the bench in Chelsea colours....seeing him in a City jersey will be a weird feeling Mourinho joining a rival club wouldn't be a shock to fans because managers do it all the time

http://www.thefa.com//news/england/development/2014/aug/everton-sign-brendan-galloway Everton add 18 year old Galloway (defender & midfielder) for a small fee Last season it was John Stones...this season Galloway, Martinez seems to have a good eye for youth
-
Another loan spell, doesn't look like he'll make it at Chelsea
-
We're already struggling to meet the HG quota....signing Lopez would make no sense
-
http://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-articles/newcastle-agree-loan-deal-facundo-ferreyra-reported-sky/ Newcastle add Ferreyra on loan (2 million euros)

I'm not sure if you can learn instincts...you either have it or you don't.
-
I wouldn't be surprised to see Romeu or Cech leave...(considering no one wants Mikel) I would of thought a Serie A club would take a chance on Mikel, he seems like he would do well in a slower paced league

Is There One Big Signing Left In Us?
Reddish-Blue replied to Special Juan's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I wouldn't mind Chicharito...but I'm not sure if he fits Jose's tactics He seems more suited to a team that plays with 2 strikers up front... -
Good move for Bertrand Hope he signs for a club like Southampton or Villa permanently..
-
I can't disagree with your post. You took the words out of my mouth in terms of Lukaku lacking that bit of steel certain players have. I also agree with your point on Ashley Cole, he was one of the best professionals out there....it's unfortunate that both Cole and Lampsy left the club in the same window
-
Obviously Torres would say he's willing to play anywhere...he doesn't want to leave and risk losing 175,000 a week I agree it's the attitude to have...but when the player is rubbish, how can you take it seriously? Hopefully Bamford or someone else can be that third striker for us in seasons to come
-
I'd still take an immature Lukaku over Torres any day of the week If Costa gets injured, we're pretty much screwed.
-
Hopefully Southampton reject the request
-
Even though I agree with your points, when I said Reus would have been a brilliant addition, I meant that in terms of his ability to win games single-handedly on a consistent basis. Willian is a very good team player but he's not a consistent match-winner
-
Even though I feel bad for the Southampton fans... When mid-table clubs over-achieve, their best players will be poached, that's just the way it is For example when Aston Villa kept finishing in the top 7 for consecutive seasons, their best players eventually left the club
-
If only Willian wasn't a Chelsea player...Reus would have been a brilliant addition
-
Totally agree with your post. If we can find a 22-24 year old talented striker with a different skill-set to Costa and Drogba, I wouldn't mind cashing in on Lukaku (25 million or no deal).
-
There has to be some way we can make a deal with Atletico for Torres...
-
To be fair, neither Kane or Blackman look like their good enough for Chelsea's first team Paulo Ferreira was a dependable squad player and i'm glad Chelsea kept him around till last season.
