This lampard vs scholes is a difficult debate. Both players are vital in a team. One scores goals from midfield, and one helps in domination of opponents. This is like comparing cabaye and nolan. Cabaye doesn't score as much as nolan but he is great at long range passing, controlling the game and is perfect for a pivot. While nolan at westham is at the right place at the right time to score some vital goals because of his great instincts. Nolan is a low quality version of lamps and cabaye is a low quality version of scholes.

I don't want luiz to be sold but this is honestly a shocking post from you. To chip in JT's name like he's garbage...

Nice for us to keep on increasing manshitty fans in US
-
I wish he had some pace to be able to play in the wings sometimes, we could really use good crosses like that in our team.

Good article, I like the fact where they say "out of all the signings emenalo has made, only marin and Ulises davila have reduced in market value" If that's not success, I don't know what is.

Mata's 20 goals and 30 assists is massive. UEFA seriously need to recognize him on the FIFA world 11 list for this season.

How many assists does hazard have?

He needs a crosser to survive, don't want him here. Lukaku has better link up play, EPL experience and is faster than him.
-
He was very good at the beginning, but gradually became average. Training with torres has reduced his ability

Its not just the English selectors, germany has one of the best teams in europe and he's still called up playing alongside reus, gotze and ozil. I didn't say sturridge was not good here, I said he wasn't happy playing out wide. He wanted striker role alone and its never good if your players are not happy. But schurrle would be more than happy to play at any position for a big club like ours. I'm sure u must have been frustrated sometimes when it seems like we are trying to walk the ball into the net instead of having some genuine threat from outside the box. With schurrle here, he'll help lampard in that.
-
Sturridge wanted to play up front as the striker only. But schurrle is more versatile, he can play across the front three and in the striker position too. Schurrle is defensively better than sturridge too and will gladly accept to play out wide or up front or behind striker. Don't underestimate the fact that schurrle is a German international regular while sturridge is part time for england.

No player has given more assists(5) than coutinho since he had his debut on february 11th. @OptaJoe stats

Benitez was given the task which AVB failed at, which is making the new players the core of our team. There was a time we couldn't win a game without lamps and terry playing, now azpi, mata, luiz, hazard are now vital players in our team. Make no mistake about it, It was a massive success to change the core of our team from the mourinho era and still play attractive football (we scored 145 goals this season) without terry and lampard complaining. Its not fair to compare how we were 4 points behind manutd because they have been magnificent in the league this season only chelsea 04/05 were better than this manutd side in the league in recent times, their point total agrees with me. We should compare with mancitty before benitez came and see there wasn't that much of a shift, considering we played 10-15 more games than any other team in the league, with the smallest squad in the top 5. Under benitez we lost the CWC, Carling cup, and FA cup. Here's what really happened: The CWC, torres missed an open goal yes benitez made a stupid sub of bringing on a rightback but if torres put that in, we won't be talking about this. The carling cup, IVANOVIC single handedly sent us out don't even mention benitez in this. The FA cup, we won manutd on the way to a far stronger mancity with an extra week rest and there is no shame in that. So in total its only the CWC I can really blame him for and at that time, the BOO guys were at their full flow. The turning point of Benitez era is when he commented after the middlesborough game that he will leave at the end of the season. That made the boo boys stop and allowed our players (especially the new young ones who are not used to receiving boos from their fans) concentrate on the game plan and we started winning a lot more games. Had we stopped booing earlier I could have imagined our position in the league with fully focused players. So I hope he gets a nice send off tomorow and mourinho comes in.

Has he ever lost a final

Hazard is close to messi role than mata. Mata is a good passer and normal finisher. Hazard is a good passer(messi level), good dribbler and normal finisher and has speed that messi has. So he is more suited to the false nine in my opinion. Putting mata alone directly beside defenders when he is not strong or fast enough is killing him.
-
Mata is our best player, make no mistake about that. But to become a real force to be reconed with, I think jose will develop his defensive side massively and force him to do some gym work to develop his strength to hold the ball under pressure. And I think he will develop his workrate under jose, maybe if jose subs him off early in games to keep him fresh like he does with ozil it will make mata less tired and cancel out that 3 vs 2 midfield that always happens to us. I also think benitez makes mata stay high up the pitch and makes the wingers come back more like 4-4-1-1 instead of 4-2-3-1

Congrats mata on winning players POTY and fans POTY :cfc: #futurelegend

Europa League Final 2013 - Benfica 1-2 Chelsea
kellzfresh replied to Jase's topic in Champions Archive
No hazard and our attacks are bullshit slow. We've survived in europa so far bcos of his runs and how he speeds up our play -
if this deal falls through, i would even dance more than us winning the europa league

I heard whenever he scores, a celebritty dies. Scary stuff
