Like I said earlier. Ronaldo, aguero, mandzukic, cavani, costa all had terrible tournaments. Doesn't mean they are'nt top players.
-
Looool!! How much we'll need that
-
I never really watched him. But my goodness he's looking like a special player
-
In this world cup so far
-
Best player of the tournament. Technique is his middle name. He is so blessed with it, its ridiculous
-
Every team needs a muller/oscar sometimes. Oscar is a 22year old that got a baby recently at this young age. He has a lot on his mind plus world cup. He'll show u his true worth when his head is free next season.
-
Oscar reminds me of muller. No real stand out technical abilities but both intelligent, versatile and vital in teams they play in. Oscar is Brazil's AM, while schurrle is a bench player for Germany. I'm sure that's why oscar gets more publicity.
-
So liverpool go for lallana instead of a cheaper and better shaqiri??
-
Lukaku apologized
-
Is the 4-3-3 coming back?
-
But in all honesty, there is nothing wrong with having versatile players. I thought it used to be a bonus for any team?

To me the distance is not by much. Our back four is better. Only that zabaleta is the better attacking rightback. I know fernadinho-yaya is good but so is matic-cesc. You know that they are the almost the same level in quality. In the attack, they have silva, nasri, negredo, aguero. While we have willian/schurlle, oscar, hazard, costa. This is where they are better than us, but then again hazard+willian = silva +nasri/navas only aguero+negredo tip the scales above> oscar + costa. As I've broke it down into smaller bits, you can see were not far behind and we have a monster courtois in goal.
-
From player for player Cech. Iva-terry-cahil-luis Matic-fabrepas Willian-oscar-hazard Costa Hart Zaba-kompan-nastas-clichy Fernadinho-toure Nasri/navas - negredo - silva Aguero. Not that much in quality between the two teams imo. It was wide last season, but not now. Our better manager should tip the scales in our favor

That bold part is exactly what I said a few pages ago. Hazard creates more than he scores, he is not a true winger I appreciate his talent more because players like zidane/ronaldinho were my favorite players. I said his qualities will be maximized if he plays in the center because he is more of a fast iniesta than a bale/robben/sanchez and trust me all those players will not reach iniesta/hazard at their peaks. Why do I say he is more like iniesta than bale/robben? Its simple. Hazard doesn't make runs for others to pass ball into space, he doesn't go direct into the 18box looking to score like bale/robben, if you watch games with iniesta on the wings, u'll see a carbon copy of slower hazard. Hazard needs more touches of the ball to show his true self. Him playing on the wings and not touching ball much for long periods is not showing his full potential IMO.

I think he has more vision than any under-23 player right now. He sees a pass easily and has the technique to deliver it on a platter.

Lukaku has fallen into the youth trap It may seem like he’s not trying (he certainly doesn’t move far), but he really is trying to impress Chelsea. The problem is young players try to do things that aren’t necessarily the things that impress managers. Lukaku has a problem whereby he doesn’t appreciate things that don’t bring him goals. Could be something as simple as defending a post on a corner kick or making dummy runs, etc. There are loads of things that go on in a match that don’t lead directly to goals. He hasn’t learned to value those things. He’s trying to impress by showing us how many goals he can score. That exacerbates this problem. When he drops deep, he doesn’t do it to create space, he does it so he can get the ball. He doesn’t appreciate empty space, he attempts to figuratively jump and down calling for the ball. You don’t see him make runs that don’t lead to him receiving the ball, and when he does receive it, you don’t see him utilize possession to help anyone else. He’s using the World Cup to try to impress and forcing what he thinks is the criteria. His teammates aren’t helping, obviously. Belgium has to rank as the most disappointing team with 2 wins, easily. But, I’d much rather see him work his ass off amongst a team that stands about than joining them. I once gave my MOTM to Demba Ba in a 4 goal game in which he didn’t even score. I’d love to see Lukaku with that sort of game sometime.

Yes I do understand. It has more to do with his personal character than his talents. Modern wingers either have to be direct and run into goal scoring positions or be like navas and stay wide and cross. Hazard is not like the two types of winger above, so I think he'll be better centrally touching the ball all the time.
-
Iniesta can play on the wings, ozil can play on the wings, gotze can play on the wings. All unselfish players who dribble in tight spaces, but their best positions r in the centre. Hazard is similar to all of them, he just has more speed/dribbling. I think he'll be better in the centre.
-
Did he say that? Anyways I accept the kind of player Hazard is. He isn't the guy that grabs all the attention, or wants to be the alpha and omega of the team. Its just how he is, its hard to change. Iniesta is almost the same, I don't think iniesta played to his full potential because of his shy nature and prefering to pass than to shoot. Hazard has a shy attitude but with world class talent. What we should do is to maximize what he can offer. To me, he should be played in a position where he touches the ball more than anyone on the team and us his dribbling ability to the maximum. He can dribble in tight spaces, imagine hazard dribbling those parked buses right through the centre with his close control. Each time he touches the ball, he dribbles 2 CB's then passes to the free striker. It would suit him. Because he doesn't produce driving runs into the box like mertens did for belgium, I feel his talents are not maximized. I could be wrong but if you watch us against fulham last season, the first half was terrible then hazard moved to the centre in the second half and created 2 goals for schurle to score a hattrick. He did this again against newcastle where he used his amazing ball control and speedy turns to dribble past a defender in a tight space, pass to ivanovic and score the return pass. He could be crucial behind the striker and oscar has shown that he plays better inter-changing positions with the wings(with neymar) it will suit the team perfectly. And with fabregas behind, he will link up with hazard easily. One-twos galore, more understanding and possession will be centred around them. I know many will prefer hazard to stay high up the pitch so that fabregas can send through passes on the counter. But from what we know of hazard, he hardly is the one who makes runs off the ball into the 18box to score. Schurle is the better player in that aspect for them to spot him and costas runs. Costa Oscar-hazard-schurrle Matic-fabrepass That is a better formation to suit hazards qualities. With him there, he won't go missing for 80mins and perform for 10mins. He'll perform more because he'll have double the touches of the ball.

I heard their injuries r similar. But luckily for falcao he is blessed with technique that torres never had
-
This is why England NT suffer. The top teams in the league can't afford top english players in their team because of the over rating and inflated prices of the players.
-
Who's Gazidis and what does that mean?
-
They'll get strootman and a top manager on top of that. We need to seal our striker and leftback positions asap.
-
But cavani is 65mil and falcao had an ACL injury. Like torres had
-
Robben just said vangaal made an offer for him to join Manutd. And he will consider it after the worldcup. Please don't do this to me, manutd can't get anymore stronger!!
