He's not really a winger like u said but I just classify him as an iniesta alike player. I'm beginning to accept that he's not that shooter 30goals a season player because he's just not selfish enough. But I won't complain if he betters iniesta's peak for us. I know what u mean by those instances where he passes and doesn't get the return, I feel bad for him sometimes. But many times, Hazard sees 2 players coming to mark him and he doesn't release the ball quickly to take advantage of the space left by the players. IMO, the right thing to do immediately he sees 2 pple coming to him, is to pass to KDB QUICKLY and RUN PAST THE 2 PLAYERS COMING for the return pass. That way he will ease a lot of these double marking that forces him to the corner flag. Let's put it this way, robben is a more dangerous player, but it always seems like hazard is marked more than messi, which is not true its just that hazard holds the ball that 5seconds longer to allow them to close up near him.
-
I don't think so. So far, hazard just plays like an iniesta. He is young and can change to the messi/ronaldo we want but if he's like iniesta I wouldn't complain. I would just like his full abilities to be utilized properly and I'm beginniing to think it'll be in the centre like iniesta where he can have more touches of the ball instead of going missing for long periods like against Russia.

Pple r forgetting he played unfit during the worldcup. He is a fighter and wants to play even when unfit Just like Ronaldo played terrible too. Even though the system didn't fit him, if he was fit he would have played better. I'm sure of it.

I've said this before in this thread. He holds unto the ball too long when double marked, and it slows down the attack. That's why I said earlier that he should try to do quick one twos when double marked. Like anytime he see's two players around him, he should pass out and run towards the box for the return pass. Mertens made a lot of runs and crossed into the box and hazard didn't come in from the far post, so once it goes past lukaku, no one else was in the box. I'm begining to think hazard is more of an iniesta than bale/ronaldo/robben. If you even watch iniesta on the wings sometimes, he plays just like hazard. Both don't run into the 18box much, and both don't shoot. Because of this, Hazard might actually be better in the center with his back to goal quick turns used to the maximum and more touches of the ball.

Who would u want us to sign?
-
How I wish he didn't make those statements of being a complete striker and flirting with other clubs offers. This is why a PR manager is needed. The important thing is his first touch, it doesn't encourage pple to try to link up with him when they know he'll lose tthe ball anyways.
-
I'm hearing barca want to trade sanchez plus 40mil for suarez
-
Poor movement and poor touch/linkup. I fear for him because origi is looking like the better player for the Belgium system so far. Better first touch, better dribbler and better passer/linkup player.
-
He started entering the 18yard box in the last 10mins. He started being more direct, quickly taking the ball direct to goal and trying to be involved in the game. Look at that assist, he dribbled INTO THE 18 YARD BOX, this is what he should be doing more often. Any dribble is useless if it isn't going towards the 18box

Let's hope fabregas corners are as good as his. We lost a lot of goals from corners last season. All those teams that parked the bus, we should have won some from set-piece goals. If we don't score 10-15 goals from corners next season, I'll be pissed off.
-
Oops, I made a mistake I meant older
-
He's already 30, I'll rather take cuadrado of florentina/columbia instead. He's a older version of sanchez.
-
It was a clear chance. Did u watch the match? It was a better chance than the one diego costa got that he didn't shoot early.
-
The first Argentina match, against Bosnia. He had a chance to lay the ball to someone for a tap in and he took the shot and missed off target.
-
Costa, cavani, mandzukic and even aguero all missed clear cut chances in the first few matches of the worldcup. I can't judge them off world cup games unless the refree sprayed them with the vanishing spray and they perform disappearing acts.

Lol "Thierry Henry's record at the 2002 world cup was 2 games played (Senegal and Uruguay), 0 goals scored and 1 red card as France went out in the group stages as previous champions. I can't fully recall but from my limited memory he played in the PL and was dogsh*te, thank god we never tried to get him, look how badly he played in 2 matches!!!!"

Mario is talented, with first touch, technique, passing and shooting ability, physically and speed combined. Even mou knows his talents. If he had the attitude of eto, its not even debatable that I would want us to go for him. If we had the italian coach to control him to play like he does for italy, he would be perfect. He is 24 now, he is supposed to be mature at this age, without unnecessary incidents, but I doubt that.
-
In other words, he's bn shite because our other players don't look for the strikers
-
Exactly. I guess iniesta and silva are not world class. I guess azpi is shit and we should just leave him in brazil. Alonso of madrid must have been having a fluke for the past 4 years in madrid. Pedro just scores 15goals per season for barca by luck. Spain is a team that is better off playing a false 9 with fabregas up top. Everybody has forgotten how boring they were in euros before the final against 10man italy. Even in the past world cup, they won it with 7 goals scored. That team is not a team for strikers since del bosque came in. Under ARAGONES, spain used to play with both torres AND villa. That was the best spain IMO, the 2008 euro winning spain.
-
Lmao!!! Exactly. Costa was better in the second half once spain stopped playing with two DM's (busquets and alonso just imagine us using matic and mikel, how will we attack?) He made so many runs and was much better once koke came on with direct passes to costa on his runs. But after he came off, see the difference? torres didn't even do anytin and once again spain got far worse for the second match in a roll when he came off. In chelsea, he'll have fabregas/matic spotting his runs, and will be found with perfect first time balls. As for his performance, only ramos, azpi and carzola were better than costa for spain in this match, the rest of the 11 players +subs were worse.
-
I would really not want to loan him out again. I think we should convince him to be the second striker and with a fair chance to win his place in the starting 11
-
Is that meant to be a good or bad thing?
-
You r right in some points but a little harsh in others. I don't think he was that bad against Algeria. There are 3 things hazard doesn't do that should develop his game massively. 1. The most important is Hazard should stop dribbling away from the danger area(18box) and should attack pple and force them to run backwards towards their 18box. Robben and reus do this all the time, and it makes them look more dangerous(likely to make things happen) than Hazard. He did this only twice towards the end of the first half against Algeria and it was their most dangerous moment. See robbens goal against Australia and notice how he runs directly into the box without hazards slowing down style. 2. He practically makes no runs off the ball. He should make diagonal runs from the wing to the strike area. He should be raising his hands to show pple where he wants the ball while running there. He is getting too predictable by only wanting to receive the ball to feet IMO. 3. When he realizes the defenders are isolating him from his teammates, he should pass quickly and go for the return pass instead of ball hogging the ball too much. These 3 things r his biggest shortcomings and if he gets them right, the world is at his feet IMO.
