Stop being sarcastic, mata has played two games and has performed no where near any of our attacking midfielders. Even eto'o on his EPL debut was a different class compared to mata. If you watched the games then you shouldn't ask such questions except you don't know what mata is capable of when he is the "key" man that everyone passes to in attack.

Didn't do much but certainly did more than his fellow subs.(Lamps.and torres). We all know he is at his best when he starts the match and gradually tries to influence the game. Hope to see him start on wednesday because mata doesn't look much now that our attack is not centred around him anymore.

I feel schurrle was more effective than hazard on wings he was direct, created chances for others as well as having his own chances. He still needs to improve his finishing as do our entire squad.

His movement was good, good technique also but miles better than torres. He created chances for others but also made good runs to score.

I remember when RDM rested mata at the beginning of last season people hardly complained but now despite needing rest(which showed in the game vs villa) and nursing an injury at the beginning of the season in a team with so much quality which will enable him bring out his best when he returns people have their heads turned. I think people are as unpredictable as my timing for a drink.

I can't see us loosing before everton this season so I think chelsea will win 3 - 1(a hazard screamer, Mata and john terry, coleman for everton)

The more i see our squad strength and depth together with mourinho as our manager the more i am eager to see the first team that will dare to win us in EPL. I see us loosing very, very few games this season in Epl(three games or less) may be we might even go unbeaten, I am really optimistic. With the squad we have and the tactical and technical possibilities they offer i see the sky as our limit in all competitions.

For me, he can talk as much as he wants as long as he is in blue and for blue especially if it improves his english.

Mourinho signed him and knows him best as they have worked together before. I don't see any problem at all.

But I will also like to see an article on mourinho's beautiful Porto team and his excellent last year at inter milan but also the season his overrated real madrid team had their best ever La liga season

So lukaku(20yrs) scores 17 league goals at WBA and he is good enough to be first choice striker for a club competing for champions league and Epl trophies? Love is really blind because for me he is not yet ready to even be first choice striker for a team that wants to win europa league, as a sub. may be he will do just fine. The kid has potential everybody knows that but also the coach and club are doing what's best for him and chelsea clearly. I don't think by next season he will be ready either(as first choice). The way people go on about mourinho loaning lukaku out you will think lukaku is already a chelsea legend like drogba. He will have his chance when the club and coach are sure he will have enough playing time to enhance his development. He is not the only victim of having more experienced in our squad. Players like victor moses who was vital for us in europe have also been loaned out to further their development because he will get little playing time if he stays. Lukaku might have more potential than ba and torres (at chelsea) but in football you just can't throw away experience out the window neither can it be bought nor replaced by talent or potential. Mourinho is boss and knows what he is doing he was criticised at madrid by some pple for dropping casillas and not playing ozil as often as before but ancelotti also comes in, drops casillas and sells ozil that should prove a point.

Unlike madrid we have four trophies to compete for and moreover teams like bayern, madrid, barca, Manu are just about as loaded in those positions as we are.

Good loan for him he really needs the experience. His quality is not in doubt
