I think he is just going through a rough period as a young player. No goals, no real assists in three games that's poor compared to his standard last season.

Very boring game but a very good point too early in the season away to ManU with a new manager I'd take it any day. Nevertheless with an experienced world class striker we might have won it (incoming). This also shows how solid we can be defensively away from home. We will need such performances in champions league.

Am sure he will do very well where ever he goes that is if? he goes in the first place bcoz so far its all speculation. I actually thought he is the kind of player mourinho will like strong,power,pace,good in the air, direct and most importantly a true winger. I'd love to see him at liverpool or everton if its a loan so he could trouble our rivals.

I think he has more credentials to be part of this team than KDB and schurrle because he has already spent a season with chelsea in which he was heavily involved in the squad unlike kdb who was deemed not ready last season and schurrle who is new, also apart from mourinho's preference for left footed players on the right wing which automatically gives mata a spot there moses along with willian are the only other natural options on the right especially considering mata has a spot in middle with oscar also. For all the talk about oscar not doing so well on the right wing last season I think kdb would do even worse because from his first game he never even stayed there in the first place and played similar to what oscar played last season offering no width(funny the belgians did not complain), Imo neither is a right winger but nevertheless I think he is more relevant tactically to our squad than schurrle who, as i see it might be loaned out to a premier league club for the season to get used to the Epl, unfortunately he is also the more experienced than kdb and moses and would be a natural cover for hazard on the left wing but I think unfortunately for him also willian and even moses can cover very adequately for hazard on the left wing if the need arises and what is even more confusing is that he has been brought on as a sub on right wing and not the left wing which is his natural position in the Epl games played so far further undermining his relevance to the squad esp with the arrival of willian. The more I look the more confusing this gets but below is what I think will happen. Willian/Mata(Kdb/Moses)----oscar/mata(Kdb)-----hazard(willian/Moses/Kdb) Schurrle----Epl loan Ba----loan or sold if new striker comes in.

Nope. He does that on his own even when he plays for brazil especially in confed. Cup final against spain when brazil were 3-0 up he just sat deep and distributed the ball to run out time its part of his game.

He hasn't played much to be able to tell and not in his position anyway but he has good technique and is physically strong. Good addition to our squad.

I like how he started retaining possession after we went 2-1 up. That's intelligence, making time run out and breaking up the tempo of the game. By the way that pass to hazard took out three villa defenders I want to see more of that, not only from him but also hazard, mata, kdb and lamps. Who are all capable.

I read some comments here and I find it funny like we should be fantastic in every game we win especially when villa didn't even come to play but to defend from the start just like manu does this days. We played as we could against a team that parked the bus and most importantly we won. That's what makes champions for me.

I think guardiola has weakened bayerns effectiveness by playing with only one DM instead of two like jupp heynckes used to play. For me this is the advantage we have because our attacking trio will always cause problems for any team playing one DM especially. I think our chances look better now than under heynckes considering their DM is either bastian or thiago who are not really DM's
